Chapter 527
Even After Death
By the time Olivia woke up, Ethan had already left the villa. She noticed that there were more
bodyguards now.
She tried to ask someone to get the car, for she had to check in on Avery.
Cyril hastily said, âMr. Miller has left orders that you shouldnât leave the villa until the day you give birth,
Mrs. Miller..â
âButâ¦â
âMr. Miller is doing this for your safety. If you have any questions, you can ask him about it.â
Olivia recalled last night when the two babies were extremely active. She was startled by it, and she
thought that something terrible happened to them.
Ethan did this for her sake, so Olivia didnât have any complaints about this turn of events. She returned
to her room while supporting her protruding belly.
She had just arrived in her room when she received Ethanâs call. Olivia answered it. âHello.â
âThe autopsy results are out. This morning, Avery brought the remains back to his home country for
the funeral.
âI had men escort him to the airport, so you donât have to worry about him.
âBefore he left, he also told me to relay his thanks to you. Youâve helped him a lot.â
Before Olivia said anything, Ethan had already guessed what she was thinking.
âSo the results are â¦â
âAs youâve said, the gunshot at her chest was fatal. Fortunately, she didnât experience any other
suffering before she died.
âShe died in one shot. So, this incident ends here.
âLiv, from today onward, donât trouble yourself over anything anymore. You must care for your body
and await the day you give birth.â
Olivia replied, âOkay.â
âI wonât bother you during this period either.â
Ethan didnât hear anything, so he thought that Olivia would end the call right away. He patiently waited
for Olivia to hang up first.
Before the call ended, he heard a small voice coming from the other end of the line. âThank you,
Ethan.â
Ethan didnât even realize that he was smiling ear to ear.
Olivia sighed in relief. She had finally paid Avery back for his kindness. If not, the Fordhams would still
be searching everywhere.
âOlivia, are you feeling better today? Does your stomach still hurt?â Monaâs voice rang in her ears.
âIâm feeling much better now. What about you? How was your meeting with your upperclassman
yesterday?â
At the mention of the upperclassman, Mona blushed as she nodded at Olivia sheepishly. âHeâs still very
handsome. Heâs so charming.â
âLook how infatuated you are! Didnât you two advance further than that?â Olivia asked, eager for
gossip.
Mona waved her hands. âOf course not. I was just there to pick him up. I didnât even dare accept the
present he gave me.
âHe offered to send me home, but I feared I might give away the location, so I declined.â
Olivia nodded. âYou did the right thing. You shouldnât accept anything from men before confirming your
relationship.â
âI think the same.â
Mona sat on the swing, her legs dangling in the air. She swung in the air like a child.
âBut after so many years of not seeing each other, I feel like he has changed into another person.â
âOh? Were your illusions shattered?â
âNot really. I think that he has gotten even more mature now. But Iâm still as innocent as ever, can see a
little generation gap there.â
so I
Olivia chuckled. âHeâs only three years older than you, so itâs not a generation gap at all. Also, a bad
thing for men to be mature. Heâll learn how to take better care of others.
itâs not
âItâs okay as long as he has no problems with his character.â
Mona replied, âHeâs a sincere man. Even steel would bend, but he wouldnât. Heâs the best man Iâve
ever met in this world.â
âThen try to talk more to him.â Olivia encouraged her. âYou can slowly get to know him.â
After all, they already had technology experts set things up for them. It didnât matter if they chatted
online or shared their location. Their IP address would be constantly changing.
Those were all fake addresses, so no one would be able to find them.
Mona blushed as she smiled. âThank you, Olivia.â
âI hope you win his heart soon.â
With that, Olivia got up and went back to Jeffâs room. She placed the pendants she got in the auction
yesterday into his hand.
âDad, look. I brought the pendants back. In the future, the children will get one each, and they will pass
it down to the next generation. You donât have to worry anymore.
As soon as she said that, she noticed Jeffâs steady heart rate decreasing rapidly.
âDoctor!â Olivia shouted.
