Chapter 647
Even After Death
Before meeting Janice, Olivia thought she would be a maniac.
After their meeting, she realized she was wrong. Janice was just a poor woman who wasnât able to be
with the man she loved.
âYou werenât stupid, just stubborn.â
Olivia didnât remember her past, but she was able to relate to Janiceâs emotions. It was like the same
thing had happened to her in the past.
âThose are the same thing. In the past, I had been a failure of a mother. Now that Iâm older, Iâve thought
things through.
âYouâre luckier than me. You have all his love. Youâre the most suitable person to wear the bracelet.â
Oliviaâs eyes widened in surprise. âSo youâre not opposed to our relationship?â
âWhy would I be? Youâre a match made in heaven. But there is something I need to tell you.
âEthan might be an outstanding person, but he grew up in our family. There are serious flaws in his
personality.
âOthers might not be able to notice them. Only the people closest to him would be able to see these
flaws.
âEthan isnât really capable of love. But youâre different. I heard you grew up in a loving family. Itâs only
natural that he is attracted to you.
âA Miller man will never have a change of heart once he falls in love. Itâs a blessing and a curse at the
same time.
âYouâre both still young. You have a long life ahead of you. I hope you can stay by his side no matter
what he has done to you. Please donât let the misfortunes of my generation affect you.â
Olivia had mixed feelings about what Janice said and didnât know how to respond. She was already
married to Ethan, and he
loved her so much.
Logically speaking, she should love him deeply, too, but a voice in her head kept warning her to stay
away from Ethan.
Janice held Oliviaâs hand when she saw that Olivia wasnât responding. She asked, âCan I call you Liv?â
âIf you want to.â
âI also have a daughter; sheâs about your age, but I didnât take good care of her. Thatâs why we have
been separated for so long. If you donât mind, you can call me Mom from now on.â
The sudden motherly love took Olivia aback. She paused for a while and agreed, âOkay.â
âGood girl. Do you have any plans for the future?â
Olivia shook her head. âI have no idea. I heard that I used to study medicine. Iâll probably continue my
studies on that.â
Olivia felt lost. She felt like her future was shrouded in mist.
She was like a little doll, pretty and attractive but soulless. She didnât know what she wanted to do.
Dreams? Aspirations?
She had no desires or longing. She didnât feel hopeful for the future.
She would occasionally feel heartache when children were brought up, but she didnât feel like getting
pregnant again.
The most intimate things she had done with Ethan recently were hugs and morning kisses.
Ethan was very considerate of her. He respected her wishes and said he would give her all the time
she needed.
He was flawless and almost too perfect. But Olivia managed to remain calm.
Janice looked like she wanted to say something else, but she nodded and said, âStudying medicine is
good.â
Janice was more understanding than Olivia expected.
âYou can make yourself at home here. Whether itâs studying medicine or business, you can take your
pick. Ethan loves you a
lot. I hope you can love him for us. He has ⦠been through a lot.â
