Chapter 651
Even After Death
It would be best if they could get information from Harold about Ms. Natâs whereabouts. Then, Ethan
wouldnât need to go on a wild goose chase for her.
Harold glared at them and said, âWho is this Ms. Nat? Eugenia is the only woman I know. Donât slander
me.
âIf Eugenia suspects I have another woman, sheâll come crawling out of her grave to beat me up.â
âGrandpa, Iâm not kidding. You were clutching Livâs arm and calling her Ms. Nat.â
Harold grunted and said, âWhy are you still so naive? You believe the ramblings of a delusional old
man? What if I told you Iâve seen an alien?â
Ethan didnât have a response to that.
Haroldâs personality was more lively than he used to be. He would often act or talk childishly. Ethan
couldnât handle that.
After a while, Harold started to ignore Ethan and went to hold Oliviaâs hand.
âYou shouldâve come here long ago. Aldenvine is such a horrible place, unlike here. We have beautiful
mountains and rivers.
âThereâs also the beach, and our weather is way better. Itâs a good place to live. You might even get
pregnant easier here.â
Olivia smiled and replied, âThatâs true. Iâll be staying here for the foreseeable future to further my
studies.â
âStudying is good. Learning new knowledge is always useful, but donât stress yourself out.
âLook at how malnourished you look. Has that brat not been feeding you well? If Eugenia ever finds
out, she will crawl out of her grave.â
Olivia could tell that Harold treated her like his own granddaughter. The love he had for her was
overflowing in his voice.
âIf you have anything you need, just tell me. Stay away from your mother-in-law. Sheâs off the deep
end,â Harold said as he pointed at his head.
Then, Harold added, âBut Iâm also out of it sometimes. Ethan is the only normal one in this household
now.â
Olivia didnât know what to say. Ethan wasnât that normal, either.
âYouâve finally come to visit me after so long. Come, Iâll give you a tour around my place.â
âAlright, Grandpa.â
Olivia and Ethan each took one of Haroldâs hands and supported him as they walked.
Harold said emotionally, âSince your grandmother passed, I felt like spending my days in a daze isnât
that bad.
âAt least I wonât have to spend time wallowing in sadness as I think of her. Cherish your time with your
loved ones so you have no regrets when they are gone.â
âUnderstood, Grandpa.â
Harold glared at Ethan and said, âDo you really understand?â
It was like Haroldâs gaze pierced right through Ethan. It was as if he had sensed something wrong.
Ethan felt his heart skip a beat.
Harold changed the subject and said, âAlright, I donât have much longer to live. I just hope you two can
stay with me more. Iâll be satisfied if you can bear me a grandchild.â
When babies were mentioned, Olivia quickly interjected, âYouâre still in good health, Grandpa. Weâre
still focusing on our careers. So, we wonât be planning for a baby anytime soon.â
Olivia didnât know why she would give birth to Ethanâs child at 21. She must have loved Ethan deeply.
In her opinion, she was still in her prime and didnât need to become a mother yet.
At the very least, she didnât feel like she wanted to do it at the moment.
Ethanâs nails dug into his palm, but he kept a straight face and said, âThatâs true, Grandpa. Liv is still
young. Weâre not in a rush.â
