The sarcastic tone of Kang Jinwook made Sunwoo’s eyes shake. Although he was flustered, it was the sharp, cutting tone that made his chest sting near his heart. Sunwoo clenched his fist and then released it, opening his mouth.

“What are you saying? How could you even say something so absurd…”

His voice was trembling, so much so that even he could hear it. Kang Jinwook’s gaze slid over Sunwoo’s face, unable to hide the turmoil, and then moved to his shaking eyes. After a moment, Kang Jinwook took a piece of paper from his pocket and tossed it onto the table.

Sunwoo’s eyes fell on the folded paper. Kang Jinwook gestured for him to open it. Sunwoo quickly grabbed the paper and unfolded it.

“Gasp.”

Upon seeing the contents of the paper, Sunwoo unconsciously swallowed. It was an ultrasound image of the baby, printed on the paper.

The reaction was enough of an answer.

“Tell me the truth. What is this?”

“Well, I... I...”

His mind went blank, and he couldn’t figure out what to say. At Kang Jinwook’s question, Sunwoo repeated himself over and over, unsure of what to do, and eventually swallowed dryly.

No matter how many times he looked at it, it was indeed the ultrasound photo that was stuck to the wall of his bedroom.
