Chapter 173
I Want a Divorce
hapter 173 Ericâs Intentions?
The song she liked was actually quite obscure.
Coupled with the gloves and the date being so coincidental, she couldnât convince herself that it was
just a coincidence.
âToo bad. Eric is really good-looking. Speaking of which, how is it between you and Sean?â Luna
lowered her voice as she said that.
Abigail pondered for a moment before replying, âItâs pretty good.â
However, Seanâs recent actions didnât touch her like they would have in the past.
âI have to go now. Iâll call you tonight,â Abigail said hurriedly as more actors started entering the trailet.
Eric saw her hang up and caught up with her.
âHappy New Year. His voice rang out beside Abigail.
Abigail placed her phone in her small backpack and looked up at him. âHappy New Year.â
âWeâll be wrapping up in about a month, and our roles will be almost done by then. I have a request,â
Eric said as he walked beside Abigail. His tone was gentle.
âWhat is it?â Abigail asked with a hint of a smile in her eyes.
âMy grandmother really likes the designs from your studio. She wants you to meet her in person when
you have time to discuss a custom outfit for her 75th birthday.â Eric said while staring at Abigail. He
seemed nervous.
âIâm starting to suspect that youâre promoting me everywhere.â Abigail teased.
âOf course not. Iâm not that bored.â Eric chuckled.
Nevertheless, she agreed to his request.
Back at the set, they continued to work diligently, and two weeks pa*sed in the blink of an eye.
During this time, Sean did not come to the set.
However, Abigail understood why.
He was busiest at the beginning of each year and he would be busy for at least a month or two before
he could take a break.
We
In Pendorf.
Sean had just finished reading a report when Cameron walked in.
âHow is the investigation going on the matter I asked you to look into?â Sean raised his eyes to look at
him.
âThe Davidsons have some connections with the Pearsons. The Pearsons have a stake in Instagram,
making it easy for them to erase the trace of information related to Ericâs throwaway account,â
Cameron replied respectfully.
Sean then picked up another report. âYou should know that this evidence is not enough to convince
Abigail.â
It wouldnât be convincing to tell her that Eric had connections with a family that had a stake in
Instagram. She would have a thousand counterarguments.
Cameron wanted to explain himself. He had investigated for nearly a month and only found this one
piece of useful information.
âYou couldnât find anything else?â Sean asked as his voice turned cold.
âItâs my incompetence.â Cameron immediately admitted his mistake.
He had never said such words before, which made Sean think deeply. After a moment of
contemplation, he spoke. âInvestigate the Pearsons.â
Did Eric erase the traces of his alternate account to lure Sean into a trap just because he didnât like
Sean?
Moreover, as far as he knew, Eric didnât know that he and Abigail were married. In Ericâs perception, he
was just Abigailâs cousin.
If Eric wanted to court Abigail, why would he try to sow discord between Sean and Abigail?
Upon thinking about how he hadnât contacted Abigail in a long time, he picked up his phone and called
her.
Meanwhile, Abigail, who was resting in the trailer, received his call and answered it.
âWhat do you want?â Her tone was as cold as ever.
Sean was unhappy. âI havenât called you for so long, and youâre so dismissive when I finally called?â
âIâm busy with work. Calling me is a waste of time,â Abigail replied unkindly.
âDo you want to completely disown your husband?â Sean was about to fly into a rage.
Abigail, who was holding a hot water bottle, made a noncommittal sound.
âYou heartless woman,â Sean said coldly.
âIs there anything you want to talk about, or did you call just to chat?â Abigail raised her eyebrows.
âItâs not that,â he said as his voice softened. âHoneyâ¦â
âStop⦠I canât stand that term.â She quickly interrupted him.
His tone clearly conveyed his displeasure. âCan you just listen to me?â
âSpeak normally, and Iâll listen,â Abigail said indifferently.
âSuppose Ericâs intentions are not as simple as they seem?â Sean didnât have concrete evidence this
time, so he couldnât say too much.
He didnât want Abigail to misunderstand him.
Seanâs words reminded her of the doubts in her own heart.
âTell me what you found. Thereâs no need for a*sumptions. I need to hear the facts,â she said calmly.
Actually, she was trying to gather information from Sean.
âIt seems you donât completely trust Eric either. So why did you argue with me because of him?â He
immediately guessed Abigailâs intentions.
âAre
you going to tell me or not?â she asked as her voice turned colder.
âEric knows some people who have a stake in Instagram, and itâs easy for them to erase the traces of
his throwaway account. Of course, you can choose to refute me.â Sean preemptively blocked Abigailâs
possible arguments.
Abigail took a sip of hot water. âYou think this person with a stake helped Eric erase the trace of his
account, right?â
Sean replied, âYes. This makes me wonder why he would target me. In his eyes, Iâm your cousin. Even
if he wants to pursue you, my status as your cousin should not be an obstacle.â
âAnd then?â Abigail thought that what Sean said made a lot of sense.
