Chapter 179
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 179 Unexpected Encounter
Sean lay down and fell asleep in no time.
Analise brought out a blanket from the house and covered him with it. He looked at the worry in his
eyes, and she sighed softly.
She had no idea what had happened between the two of them.
After she returned to the kitchen, she scooped up the dumplings and called Abigail on WhatsApp.
Soon, the call was connected.
Analise looked at Abigail with a face full of affection and asked, âHowâs work been lately?â
She Had a feeling that this call was related to Sean.
Abigail bit her l*p and asked Analise. âItâs been okay. Whatâs going on?â
âYou havenât come back for a long time, and I miss you. During the New Year, from the first day to the
third day, it was Sean who was afraid Iâd be lonely, so he came to keep me company,â Analise said with
a gentle voice.
She sat in the kitchen and glanced at Sean, who was resting in the corridor.
Analise was still anxious about Sean.
Maybe he hadnât been feeling comfortable at home, so he had come to her for some comfort and food.
When Abigail heard what Analise said, she was a bit surprised. After a moment of silence, she asked in
a soft voice, âHe spent three days with you during the New Year?â
âYes,â Analise replied with a smile.
Abigail felt a bit complicated after hearing Analiseâs words. She chatted with Analise for a while. before
hanging up as she was busy.
Abigailâs thoughts were in disarray as she sat in the office.
Sean had never mentioned this matter to her.
He could have used this to his advantage and taken credit for it, so why didnât he say anything?
Around noon, Abigail returned to the countryside.
Sean was in the yard picking vegetables with Analise. He squatted on the ground and carefully
pinched the tender white cabbage hearts at the end of February.
Abigail stood outside the fence and looked at him. Her face was full of disbelief.
He isnât at work?
She had just decided to come back and visit her grandmother, and she didnât expect to encounter
Sean.
âAbigail.â Analise turned around, and when she saw Abigail, her face lit up with joy before she dropped
the basket she was holding.
Sean also looked up at Abigail.
It had been so long since Analise had seen Abigail. She rushed out of the yard, held Abigailâs hands,
and sized her up. Her eyes were filled with tears. âHow long has it been since you came back? You
didnât even come back for the New Year!â
Her complaints made Abigail truly realize what longing meant.
It turned out that videos and phone calls couldnât relieve someoneâs longing for another person.
Abigail hugged Analise. âI wonât be so busy in the future, Grandma.â
âI didnât mean to blame you for being busyâ¦â Analise let go of Abigail, her eyes red.
Abigail looked at her with a sense of guilt. âI should consider your feelings more.â
âItâs all right⦠Did you have lunch?â Analise held her hand and led her into the yard.
Sean was still picking vegetables and occasionally looking at Abigail.
Abigail and Sean joined Analise in preparing the vegetables.
âYouâre not at work today. Did you come here to relax in the countryside?â Abigail asked Sean after
Analise prompted her several times.
âI wasnât in the mood. I came to see Grandma, and being with her makes me feel better, Sean replied.
She hadnât even noticed that Sean had such a good relationship with Analise.
In the past, Analise used to call him âSean.
His answer made Abigail smile, and she couldnât help but ask, âIs my Grandma a lucky charm? Does
being with her make you happy?â
âBecause itâs relaxing here,â Sean replied seriously.
Analiseâs eyes sparkled with joy. âYou can come here more often. Itâll be lively in the summer.â
Seanâs memories of this place are already quite distant. After all, he came here when he was very
young.
âAll right,â he replied with a smile.
Afterward, the two of them helped Analise prepare lunch.
Abigail felt that the conflict between her and Sean seemed to have been diluted due to this unexpected
interaction.
After lunch, Analise went to take a nap.
Abigail and Sean sat in the corridor. She reviewed some materials with a tablet in her hand while Sean
Jay on a lounger and looked at her.
âCan we talk about the trending topics?â Sean asked Abigail.
Abigail replied, âSure.â
âI admit that our relationship has caused you to be constantly embroiled in controversies. Youâve
indeed been deeply affected,â he said to her slowly.
Abigail pursed her l*ps but didnât respond.
If it were in the past, she would probably have thought about going through hardships together
with Sean.
When the incident happened yesterday, she was angry at first, thinking it was the result of Sean
repeatedly not heeding her advice.
Now, she realized that she had gradually grown impatient with the man she had once loved deeply.
âYour attitude yesterday made me realize that you probably wonât want to announce our relationship
anymore,â Sean continued.
âItâs good that you understand,â she replied calmly.
He looked at her profile for a while before saying, âSo, it was already predetermined from the very
beginning.â
Since they got married, all the rules he had set had become punishments for him.
âI used to think I could change you, but it turned out that if you donât like it, you just donât like it,â Abigail
said candidly.
Seanâs eyes had a deep and thoughtful look. âHow can you say that I donât like you?â
âIf itâs necessary to involve Joan in between us, I think Itâs better not to then,â Abigail said with a faint
smile.
