Chapter 235
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 235 Youâre Not Worthy
âSean!â
Abigailâs eyes suddenly turned cold, her hands clenched into fists. âSean deleted the surveillance foota
ge?â
âNo.â Joshâs answer relieved her, but his next words raised her guard again. âBut there was interferenc
e in the footage from several key streets.â
Sean went to such lengths for Joan?
Abigail gritted her teeth in frustration and spoke in a low voice. âMr. Pearson, I hope to have your a*sist
ance. Of course, I wonât let you help for nothing. Iâll personally design the outfits for Old Mrs. Pearsonâs
annual birthday banquet from now on.â
She didnât want to owe the Pearson Family any favors.
Josh pursed his l*ps slightly, a fleeting hint of helplessness in his eyes. âWe just want to help you.â
âIâll repay great kindness. If you need anything in the future, Iâll do my best to reciprocate,â Abigail said.
Josh didnât dwell on this topic any longer and moved on to the matter at hand. âIâve already arranged fo
r people to find Kingstonâs whereabouts. In addition, his motive for doing all this is simply to ensure Joa
nâs safety. As long as you give up the evidence, your grandmother will be
safe.â
Abigail nodded. âIâve already informed Joan that I wonât sue her. But as for providing evidence⦠I canât
contact Kingston.â
âLeave that to me. But even if this issue is resolved, it doesnât mean they wonât cause trouble in
the future.â
âI wonât let them off easily either.â
After a brief whispered conversation between Abigail and Josh, he nodded. âIâll take care of the
rest.â
Exiting the cafe, Abigail saw Xavien still there, and her brows furrowed.
Xavien walked over, but before he could say anything, Josh, who had followed Abigail out, spoke. âAbi
gail, where are you going? Iâll give you a ride.â
âAlright.â Abigail didnât refuse.
âMr. Pearson, I can send Madam back.â Xavien immediately stopped Josh, his tone firm.
âXavien, Sean, and I have nothing to do with each other anymore. When you address me, be mindful.â
Abigailâs voice was cool and distant.
Josh looked at Xavien with a cold expression. âMr. Summer, you might as well go back and a*sist Mr. G
raham with his work. Thereâs no need for him to worry about Abigailâs affairs.â
âMs. Quinnâ¦â Xavien called out, looking pitiful.
Abigail understood his predicament, but she had no room for mercy. She and Sean were now complete
ly opposed, and she didnât want any involvement with Seanâs people.
âXavien, go back and tell Sean that if he still cherishes any trace of our past relationship, he should arra
nge for me to meet Kingston. If he canât even do this, then weâll go our separate ways,â Abigail said col
dly, and without looking back, she walked away.
Josh glanced at Xavien, then quickly caught up with Abigail.
Not long after Abigail returned home, Sean learned from Xavien about her meeting with Josh.
Seanâs face darkened, and the air around him seemed to freeze.
Summoning his courage, Xavien spoke up. âMadam was just worried about her grandmother, which wa
s why she contacted Josh.â
Sean picked up his phone and called Cameron.
Once the call connected, he spoke coldly. âStay put; donât do anything. Iâll be there soon.â
Cameron was puzzled, but he still responded, âUnderstood.â
Late at night, Sean appeared in an extremely runâdown neighborhood.
After signaling for Cameron to hold his position, he knocked on the door.
Soon, the door opened, revealing a greasyâhaired man. He was burly with a sinister countenance.
âI never thought you would show up in a place like this, Mr. Graham.â
Sean stared coldly at him. âKingston, what do
you want?â
âWhat do I want? Donât you know?â Kingston smirked. âOf course, I want you to marry Joan. When Iâm
your brotherâinâlaw, we can talk everything out.â
âItâs impossible.â
âIs it? Then, today Abigailâs grandmother will die, and tomorrow, it could be Abigail herself. Tsk,
theyâll both die for you. Youâ¦â
Before he could finish, Sean kicked him.
Completely unprepared for Seanâs kick, Kingston stumbled back. His gaze toward Sean turned dark an
d menacing.
Sean looked at him coldly. âYouâre trying to negotiate terms with me? Youâre not worthy.â
