Chapter 246
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 246 Everyone Has an Idea
When Abigail sat down, Luna handed over the booklet of themes.
She carefully read it.
Historical outfits were a trend every industry had jumped in on. Whether it was in movies, dramas, or g
ames, the companies liked to lure consumers in with historical and traditional outfits.
Of course, if there was a new idea, it might work.
With her mind made up, Abigail turned to ask the chubby man, âYour name is?â
He Just then, a young and handsome man who had been sitting next to the chubby man stood up. grin
ned, showing off his white teeth, and said in an Eastbay accent, âHello, beautiful. Iâm Ronaldo Fernand
ez, the boss of the studio. Itâs quite a sight for someone your age to be this accomplished.â
Anthony chuckled, laughing over the fact that Abigail asked the wrong person. âYou rarely come to Pen
dorf, Mr. Fernandez. Itâs normal for Abigail not to recognize you.â
She blushed and cleared her throat. âMy apologies, Mr. Fernandez. Pleasant to meet you.â
Due to the slight mixâup, the tension in the room vanished as everyone lightened up.
âTell me, what kind of theme would the audience like? Iâm getting a headache just trying to pick one; ev
en then, we donât have any in mind.â Ronaldo put aside all formalities and said in a casual voice as his
accent became heavier.
Even Abigail had to smile, forgetting about the embarra*sment she felt.
âYou should stop speaking in your local slang, Mr. Fernandez. Otherwise, the ladies
donât understand you at all,â Anthony teased.
âI can understand a little.â She chimed in. âI think the Western Roman Empireâs invasion is a good topic
. You just need to slightly adjust when you broadcast your show.â
Anthonyâs smile deepened, and his eyes flashed as he instantly understood what she meant. As expect
ed, he was right to come to Abigail, who always had a great idea to turn something rotten into a miracle
.
Ronaldo immediately rejected the idea. âNah! Our audiences wonât be interested in something that obs
cure. Most of
the outfits around the era can be so easily mixed up that people will only get a headache.â
âLet me finish,â she said gently.
âGo on, missy.â While Ronaldo disagreed with the idea, he still respected her as the expert in her
field.
She took a sip of her coffee and slowly stated, âBy the end of the year, Director Lewisâ Troubled Times
would have been released. The show will be set in the time of the Western Roman Empireâs invasion, f
ocusing on historically accurate costumes. If you broadcast the show then, you will be able to ride the h
ype wave.â
He wrinkled his nose in thought.
She did not rush him.
Her idea was to anticipate what would be coming out in the future. If she was not doing this to return An
thonyâs favor, she would have rejected the invitation.
âMan, historical dramas and films always flop. I ainât gonna risk it. Thereâs nothing wrong with just follow
ing the mainstream trends.â In the end, Ronaldo decided not to risk it.
âLewis Francisâ shows are very reputable, sir,â the chubby man whispered.
Ronaldo glanced at Anthony. âWhat do you think?â
âI think she has the right idea. We can first announce that weâll be working with her. In September, weâll
release a teaser cl*p to show off some of our outfits. Once the show is released, we can broadcast our
show at the same time,â Anthony said with a polite smile.
âYouâre an artist, so you must have a better eye for beauty than I do. Since Mr. Booker agrees with you,
weâll go with your idea.â Ronaldo was eventually persuaded to go with the idea.
Once the contract was signed, Abigail sent her a*sistant to book a table at the nearby restaurant so that
she could treat Ronaldo and the rest to a meal.
Being a good host or hostess was an important quality in the eyes of those from Eastbay. Hence, it wou
ld be extremely rude not to treat the guests to a meal when discussing business.
As Anthony headed to the restaurant with her, he softly explained, âForgive Mr. Fernandez. He started
as a local businessman, so heâs not that great with business talk. He also has a poor sense of boundari
es.â
âHe has an interesting way of speaking, donât you think so? We donât have to be stern and polite when
discussing business. Heâs also easy to talk to. I find it more comfortable to talk to him compared to tho
se who are always polite.â It was a response that was being considerate to Anthony.
Since Ronaldo was Anthonyâs guest, no matter how uneasy she felt around him, she always made it so
und more positive for Anthonyâs sake.
âYou plan on borrowing the costumes
from Director Lewis, donât you?â Anthony asked in a guessing tone, swiftly changing the topic.
