Chapter 499
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 499 The Sacrifice Of Mr. Graham
On the third day of Lunaâs disappearance, Sean still hadnât received any news.
He sat in the office, pondering how Kelly managed to take Luna away without leaving any
trace.
They had checked all the surveillance footage, but there was nothing suspicious.
Sean had never encountered such a setback before. Lost in thought for a long time, he suddenly had
an idea and immediately called Xavien.
âFind another opportunity to thoroughly search Lunaâs house. I suspect that sheâs still there. and has
never left,â Sean instructed in a cold voice.
âI think it would be better to have Josh do this,â Xavien whispered.
To minimize the risk, Josh was the most suitable person for the job.
After a moment of silence, Sean hung up the phone, agreeing with Xavienâs suggestion.
Soon, Abigail received a call from Sean.
Before she could even press the answer button, she heard Sean say, âDidnât Luna visit Josh after she
arrived at Capitalis?â
âWell, I didnât ask,â Abigail replied. She was too busy to pay attention to them.
âDamon said Josh has been with Kelly recently. I wonder if they broke up?â Sean murmured, puzzled
and curious.
âWhatâs the matter, are you jealous?â Abigailâs tone unintentionally became sarcastic.
Sean laughed, âAsk Josh for me if theyâve really broken up. If they have, I donât need to be nice to Kelly
anymore.â
His words made Abigail feel a little guilty.
It seemed that he was trying to please Kelly just so that Luna would be treated with kindness when she
marries Josh.
âOkay, Iâll do it,â Abigail said, and then hung up the phone.
Sometimes she felt that Sean was quite strange. Why did he have to ask me to do that when he could
just ask Josh himself?
Abigail dialed Joshâs number.
It didnât take long for the man to answer.
âAbigail, whatâs up?â Itâs quite noisy at Joshâs side, as if he was in a crowded place.
âLuna said she came to Capitalis. She wanted to hang out with me a few days ago, but I was busy and
couldnât go. Didnât she come to you?â Abigailâs tone remained the same.
Josh was silent for a moment before saying, âShe didnât tell me. When I asked her, she said she was in
Pendorf. Is she still mad at me?â
Abigail couldnât help but frown. âDidnât you guys clear things up? Why donât you call her and ask?â
âAlright.â
Abigail hung up the phone, and the strange feeling in her heart grew stronger. Both Sean and Luna are
peculiar in their own ways.
Josh found a quiet place to call Luna.
He called multiple times, but no one answered.
Frowning, Josh persisted and continued to call, but still no one answered.
âJosh, what are you doing?â Kellyâs voice suddenly sounded behind him.
Josh put away his phone and turned around, smiling at her. âNothing. Iâm tired from shopping today,
letâs go back.â
âOkay,â Kelly nodded, although she had some doubts in her mind, she didnât think too much about it.
Back at home, Josh secretly booked a plane ticket and only took his ID while Kelly went to the room to
take a bath.
Kelly came out of the room and went to Joshâs door, knocking on it.
There was no sound from the room. She reached out and twisted the doorknob, realizing that the door
seemed to be locked from the inside.
âHa! Locked the door even when taking a bath,â she muttered, then turned and walked downstairs,
instructing the servants, âRemember to inform me if Josh goes out.â
âYes, miss,â the servant immediately responded.
III
Kelly went upstairs to her room with peace of mind.
She slept until it was dark outside.
Thinking of Josh, she immediately got out of bed and hurriedly ran out of the room.
It was quiet in the house. Kelly ran downstairs and asked the servant, âHas Josh gone out?â
âNo, I havenât seen him downstairs,â the servant honestly replied.
Kelly turned around and rushed upstairs, arriving at Joshâs door. She twisted the doorknob again.
âJosh!â she knocked on the door forcefully.
However, the room remained quiet, with no one answering her.
âJosh, Josh!â she called out again, but there was still no response.
Kelly turned around and returned to her room, anxiously picking up her phone and dialing Joshâs
number.
Soon, he answered the call.
âJosh, why is the door locked when youâre not at home?â Kellyâs voice sounded worried.
Confused, Josh replied, âWhy canât I lock my own room?â
âThen where did you go? You promised to be with me during this time,â Kellyâs tone became resentful.
âI have something to take care of, Iâll be back in a couple of days,â Josh said in a gentle voice.
âDid you go to Pendorf to see Luna?â Kellyâs voice carried a hint of suspicion.
Joshâs tone turned cold. âCanât I see my own girlfriend?â
âBut you promised me, how can you go back on your word? You didnât even tell me before you left! Is
Luna more important to you than me, your own sister? No matter how she bullies. me, you always take
her side, donât you?!â Kelly suddenly raised her voice, with a hint of crying.
Joshâs voice suddenly carried a hint of annoyance, âYou were the one who kept bullying her, werenât
you?â
