Chapter 500
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 500 Secretly Taken Away
During the days of searching for his sister, Josh couldnât help but yearn for her return.
When Kelly finally came home, he believed he treated her well, accommodating her in every
way.
However, the longer they spent together, the more he found Kelly annoying. Not only did she like to
scheme behind his back, but she also often tried to sow discord before their parents.
She claimed to like Abigail in words, but she always portrayed herself as the victim. recounting how
much she had suffered at Abigailâs hands.
Kelly couldnât believe that Josh would speak to her in this tone. She choked up and asked, her voice
trembling, âJosh, are you fed up with me now? Youâve found someone you like, and now you canât
stand me?â
Joshâs tone was cold as he replied, âI have my own things to deal with. Donât use Lunaâs disappearance
to manipulate me. Besides, spending every day with you, going shopping and such, has become
tiresome. Let me have a break for a couple of days.â
He finished speaking and promptly hung up.
Kelly quickly withdrew her pitiful look. Then, she forcefully slammed her phone onto the bed.
Meanwhile, Josh turned to Sean after ending the call.
âI went to her place, but she didnât open the door. When I called again, she said sheâs at Capitalis. Do
you think itâs possible?â Joshâs tone carried both urgency and restlessness.
Sean looked at him and asked, âDid she mention where exactly in Capitalis?â
âNo, she just said sheâs out traveling and told me not to look for her,â Josh furrowed his brows. and
replied.
âSheâs definitely not at Capitalis. Saying sheâs there was just a ploy to get you to go back. Besides,
donât you think Kelly has been keeping you with her all the time, not letting you
come over?â
Josh, realizing this, replied, âMy sister can be a bit willful, and her character isnât as good as we
thought. But I believe Lunaâs situation has nothing to do with her. She just doesnât like
Luna.â
âYou still refuse to believe that Kelly has issues,â Sean said with a cold expression.
III
âSheâs still my sister,â Josh replied sternly.
Sean leaned back in his chair and said, âAlright, take some men, then go and pry open the door.
Regardless of what happens, search every corner of the house thoroughly.â
Josh stood up, determined. âIâm going to take care of it right now!â
Sean looked at his retreating figure and advised, âBe careful.â
Josh felt like there was an underlying message in Seanâs words, but he didnât dwell on it.
Following Seanâs instructions, Josh and his team forced open Lunaâs door. He immediately
commanded, âSearch every corner; donât overlook anything, including under the bed. Make sure to
check every place someone could hide.â
He stood at the doorway, his face stern, watching as the team entered one by one to search Lunaâs
place.
After a thorough search, the team leader spoke up. There are no signs of recent habitation in this
place.â
Josh walked further into the room, squinting at the layout. There were only a few places someone could
hide, and if Luna and the kidnapper were here, they should have been easily foundâ¦
Yet, Sean had insisted that Luna hadnât left the house. So, where could she be?
Suddenly, Josh stopped at the bathroom. He looked at the window, and after a while, as if he had
figured something out, he hurried over.
He swiftly opened the window, stuck his head out, and saw why Sean had made a mistake.
The bathroom in this building was slightly recessed, with walls on both sides. It would be very easy to
quietly move Luna out.
He immediately called Sean to tell him about it.
After the call was connected, he quickly relayed what he had seen and said, âIâll continue to investigate
this matter. Sheâs my girlfriend, and I have a responsibility to be involved in your plan.â
âJosh, keep calling her. Act as if nothingâs wrong, just like usual. Pretend sheâs angry at you and is
hiding.â Sean said in a low voice.
He wanted Josh to be involved but not to interfere.
Josh fell silent for a moment before asking Sean, âWhat are you hiding from me? Lunaâs

disappearance isnât simple, is it?â
Sean said indifferently, âI canât give you a clear explanation right now, but just trust me.â
âYou expect me to trust you when Luna is missing? Youâre not her boyfriend. Of course, youâre not as
concerned!â Joshâs voice rose with frustration.
Seanâs tone grew impatient as he snapped, âWhereâs the Josh from the old days when you helped
Abigail investigate things?â
Josh fell into a contemplative silence.
âListen to me on this matter. I promise Luna will be safe,â Sean said calmly.
Josh gradually calmed down, his voice steady as he asked Sean, âApart from asking her whereabouts,
do you have any other requests?â
âJust keep bothering her. I need to track her phone. Itâll be hard to locate her if itâs turned off. Just argue
with her, but donât end the call. Basically, do your best to disrupt her emotions,â
Sean advised.
Josh inhaled deeply before he finally said, âAlright, Iâll do as you say!â
After Sean hung up, Josh immediately dialed Lunaâs number.
It didnât take long for Luna to answer.
âI told you, Iâm on a trip. Why do you keep calling?â Luna said in irritation.
Joshâs voice carried a hint of grievance as he murmured, âWhere are you in Capitalis? I came back to
find you. I miss you, and thereâs no one at your place.â
âI just want some time alone. Can you please stop bothering me?â Lunaâs tone was impatient.
