Chapter 562
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 562 Love Is In The Air
Analise appeared to be quite knowledgeable in this area. Sean thought to himself, âI should discreetly
ask her for some advice when I can have a private conversation with her.â
Cameron scratched his head and replied, âAlright, Grandma.â
âGo on now. Bring me back some good news!â Analise urged him towards the door. âDo you have
enough money? If not, let Abigail transfer some to you. Be generous in front of the girl. Sheâs a city girl,
and we canât afford to be stingy. Besides, it wonât hurt to spend a little more. when youâre courting
someone.â
âI have enough, Grandma. Cameron became increasingly nervous as she spoke. His palms were
getting sweaty at this rate. Nevertheless, he was also quite happy to see an elder so concerned about
him.
Abigail listened with delight. Her eyes were filled with genuine joy.
âWhen you leave, make sure to accompany the girl to her vehicle. Donât just leave on your own, okay?â
Analise continued to nag even though they were already by the doorstep.
Cameron left reluctantly, thinking that it wouldnât hurt to learn more about how to woo someone. He
took all of her words to heart.
Abigail couldnât help but tease Analise when she saw her lingering at the door. âGrandma, heâs already
gone. You can stop looking.â
âCameron is such a good boy. He listens to everything I say, unlike the rest of you. You guys have
given me nothing but stress!â Then, her tone gradually gained a hint of anxiety as she muttered quietly,
âHow much should we prepare for the dowry? City girls demand quite a sum. If she wants a house,
weâll have to consider buying one for her. Should we buy a house in Pendorf or Capitalis? But the
prices for even a single apartment are sky-high over here!â
Abigail felt that Cameron had taken Analiseâs attention away from her when she wasnât looking. So, she
playfully challenged in a pitiful tone, âGrandma, are you disappointed in
me?â
âNo, but when will you and Sean get married again and have a child? I do want to meet my grandchild
before I pa*s away. Plus, that way, I would be able to tell your grandfather all about it when we meet in
heaven,â Analise said. She was old-fashioned, believing that one should start a family as soon as they
got married.
âI want to marry someone else. Who said Iâm going to remarry him? Stop taking his side, Grandma,â
Abigail challenged playfully.
Sean looked at Analise and asked, âWho is she talking about?â
III
âWho knows? Sheâs just stubborn,â Analise retorted with a chuckle.
Abigail took a deep breath and said, âI need to get back to work. What are you guys planning
to do?â
âLook at you! Working here, working there, working everywhere! Be careful. Someone else. might
snatch Sean away while youâre working,â Analise grumbled.
âThat wonât happen. I only have Abigail in my mind,â Sean replied solemnly.
Just as they were joking around, Abigailâs phone suddenly rang. She picked it up and saw that it was a
call from Josh. At that moment, she knew that the Pearsons wanted her to go to the hospital again. So,
she answered the call and asked casually, âWhatâs up?â
âGrandpa is awake and wants to see you. Are you busy right now?â Josh asked.
Abigail hummed in response. After all, she couldnât possibly refuse since it was an elderly person in the
ICU.
âGrandma, Iâm going to the hospital. Do you want to come along?â Abigail stood up tinge of sadness on
her face.
with a
âLet Sean accompany you. Iâve never liked hospitals.â Analise tried to give them some space.
As the duo left L.Moon, Sean noticed that Abigail was unhappy. âItâs just a visit. Weâll be back soon
enough,â he rea*sured gently.
âWe canât stay in the ICU for too long,â Abigail said.
Sean leaned closer to her and said, âCameron is already looking for a girlfriend. When will you consider
me?â
âDo you think Iâm in the mood to discuss this?â Abigail gave him a sidelong glance.
Sean suddenly remembered what Analise had said and asked, âDo you like bubble tea? Iâll
get you a cup from a nearby cafe.â
âBubble tea is too sweet. I prefer coffee,â Abigail replied. She enjoyed coffee during work as it kept her
alert.
âIn that case, maybe you shouldnât have any. You can rest when we get back,â Sean replied. without
hesitation.
At that moment, Abigailâs expression changed drastically. She pushed Sean away and leaned against
the car door âIf youâre not going to buy it, why are you asking? Stay away from me.â
Sean quickly realized that he may have been too straightforward earlier. âIâll buy you one
when we pa*s a coffee shop later.â He immediately changed his approach.
âI donât want it anymore!â Abigail snapped.
Sean scratched his nose and pleaded, âCan you give me another chance?â
âI said I donât want it. Whatâs your problem?â Abigail said coldly.
Sean quietly observed her expression. He felt that she was simply sulking. Could this be how a
girlfriend acts in the early stages of a relationship? As he thought about that, he asked, âIf you want to
drink it, itâs better to admit it. After all, Iâm not a mind reader, and I canât tell if you. genuinely donât want
it or if youâre just angry with me.â
âIâve said I donât want it. What else do you want?â Abigail replied. Men can be so annoying.
âYou
say you donât want it, but you seem angry. I offered to buy it for you, and you refused to drink it. I have
no idea what you want at this point,â Sean said, trying to remember if Abigail had been like this in the
past.
Abigail felt her annoyance reach its peak and fell silent.
Sean took the opportunity to consider his options. When they pa*sed a coffee shop, he told the driver
to stop. âIâm going to get you one anyway.â Getting it is better than nothing, right? If she doesnât want it,
I can just drink it. If she does want it, but I didnât get her coffee⦠Yeah, itâs better to buy one, just in
case.
Abigail fell silent, her gaze fixed on his back. She found it hard to fathom how dense Sean. could be.
Had he always possessed such a limited emotional intelligence? Perhaps I overlooked it due to my lack
of familiarity with him in the past?
He purchased the coffee and extended it towards her. âItâs hot. Give it a try and let me know if you like
it. If not, I can always get you another one.â
âYouâre quite persistent,â Abigail remarked, taking a sip.
