Chapter 577
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 577 Look After Our Home
Abigail gave Sean a cold look. âThatâs like the pot calling the kettle black. Neither of you wins.â
Sean nodded. âYouâre right, but Iâve changed my ways.â
âLetâs go. Ignore that brat.â Abigail felt annoyed just at the mention of Cameron. She couldnât help but
grumble, âThat brat had an amazing woman who was willing to love him, yet he refused to accept her.
Any other man would be thrilled to be in such a situation.â
The two of them entered the restaurant. While Abigail placed their order, Sean messaged
Cameron.
âYou should really think this through. Abigail and Analise want you to have someone by your side in the
future. Thatâs why they said all that. Donât abandon Isla just because of what her parents
said.â
âItâs not easy to find someone who truly loves you.â
At least, in Seanâs eyes, Cameronâs relationship with Isla had a great start. Isla didnât hate or dislike
him, so what was Cameron unsatisfied with?
Cameron quickly replied.
âI know. Iâll think about it.â
Cameron felt conflicted. Unlike Sean, who was happily married and deeply in love with Abigail,
Cameron had never experienced romantic dreams. If he could muster the same intense love and
pa*sion for Isla, he might put in the effort to make things work. However, the challenge lay in the fact
that he only held a mild liking for her. He found it difficult to completely change his life for someone he
only somewhat cared about.
When Sean finished messaging Cameron, Abigail had finished ordering. She handed him the menu.
âWhat do you
want?â
âHow much food did you order?â he asked, taking the menu.
âThree dishes,â she answered.
Sean fl*pped through the menu. âLetâs just order some drinks. Itâs only the two of us. We canât eat that
much anyway.â
âHow do you know that?â Abigail asked, resting her arm on the table.
âI went with you on the trip to the village. Back then, I noticed that you donât eat a lot.â As he recalled
that time, he subconsciously softened his gaze. âEvery time I cooked three dishes, you could never
finish the food. You always had a lot of leftovers that I had to eat for you.â
Embarra*sed, she hadnât realized how attentive he had been.
âOkay.â Abigail gave up on the menu.
As long as they could finish everything, it was fine.
Sean then ordered a pa*sionfruit drink.
While they ate, Abigail told him about her upcoming out-of-state meeting.
There were many trade shows and meetings in the fashion industry. Fairy Meadow and L.Moon were
both invited this time. In order to attract more customers for Fairy Meadow, she had no choice but to
make the trip. The trade show would be open to vendors worldwide. If Fairy Meadow could gain a few
international clients, it would be a testament to the brandâs quality.
âShould I come with you?â Sean asked.
Abigail glanced at him. âYou donât know anything. Are you going just to look good?â
âI donât want you to attend that kind of event with another man. Is that not okay?â he asked bluntly.
She hummed in response.
âCan I come?â he persisted.
âNo way. You have to look after our home. Why do you want to come along?â Abigail adamantly replied.
Sean grinned when he heard her say the word âhomeâ and asked, âWhich home? What home?â
Without hesitation, she replied, âWhere else? If youâre fishing for an answer, forget it.â
He couldnât help but sigh. âAlright. Youâll be busy with work while I look after our home.â
Her main concern was actually Analise. If they both went, Analise would be alone in Capitalis. Abigail
would worry less if Sean stayed in Capitalis as well.
After they finished their meal, they sat and chatted lazily.
âThis is what dating feels like,â he blurted out, observing the whispering couples at the surrounding
tables.
âAre we dating?â Abigail calmly asked.
Sean chuckled softly. âArenât we?â He hadnât known she liked to hide her sweet personality behind a
proud facade.
She didnât reply and turned her gaze elsewhere, lost in thought.
Sean followed Abigailâs gaze and saw Josh and Luna k*ssing. He cleared his throat and looked away.
âWhat a coincidence.â
Feeling somewhat awkward, Abigail softly asked, âShould we leave?â
âLetâs go,â he said, standing up.
She grabbed her jacket.
As they left the restaurant, he couldnât help but comment, âJosh always seems so proper. I never
thought he would k*ss Luna in public.â
Thankfully, it was just a brief k*ss.
âMaybe heâs good at hiding his flirting,â she said.
They walked along the road in silence. At one point, Sean delicately reached for Abigailâs hand. She
withdrew hers. However, shortly after, he grasped her hand again. This time, his hold was firmer and
more secure, as if he feared she might pull away once more.
âWhat are you doing?â She shot him an angry look.
âI want to hold your hand,â he gently replied.
Their wedding had been rushed, and there was a lack of affection between them. Apart from their
intimate moments, they were essentially strangers. Sean was eager to make up for the lost time.
Touched by his gesture, Abigail pursed her l*ps and kept her gaze fixed ahead. She didnât pull away
again.
âAs long as youâre happy, we can take it slow. Iâm fine with just dating for a year or two,â Sean said as
they walked.
