Chapter 588
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 588 Make the First Move
Luna was relieved hearing that. So, she already has a plan. âI knew you were a lot more. competent
than I am. If Iâd known you were so smart, Iâd never have let you marry that guy and stay a housewife
for three years.â Luna cursed herself.
Abigail sighed. âToo late for regrets. We canât turn back time.â
Luna thought it was a shame. âYeah. I keep wondering if weâd been running L.Moon together those
years, weâd have been famous.â Regret would only come to those whoâd make grave mistakes.
Abigail was reminded of the case with the Pearsons. Lawrence and Scarlett hadnât been coming to her
lately. Eventually, she heaved a sigh.
âWhatâs wrong?â Luna asked, concerned.
âNothing. Have you talked through everything about the marriage with Josh?â Abigail realized it was
getting harder to meet Luna now. Sheâd never come to the company unless
necessary.
âHe wants to keep dating me for a couple of years since I donât want to get married this. fast.â Luna was
happy with Josh.
Abigail grunted.
Luna held her hand, asking, âWhat about you and Sean?â
âEh, not much progress,â said Abigail.
âI wish you would find your happiness too,â said Luna. She thought Sean was a worthy man, but if
Abigail refused to marry him, it would mean nothing.
âI will. Just take care of yourself,â said Abigail gently. She and Sean had a two-year promise. If she
couldnât fall in love with him, that meant she didnât love him anymore.
The ladies chatted for a while, and then Josh came out of the room. âSheâs asleep.â
Luna knew he was telling her to go home.
Josh looked at Abigail and hesitated for a while. âGrandpaâs out of the ICU. Do you want to see him?â
âIf I have time. The companyâs in trouble lately, so I might get caught up in it,â explained Abigail.
Josh thought she was cold-blooded. No matter how much they tried to be friendly to her, she would
have an excuse to refuse their advances. He didnât like that attitude, but he nodded. âI see.â And he left.
Luna could see that Josh was a little icy toward Abigail, and she was awkward. âI gotta go
now.â
âBye.â Abigail didnât care what Josh thought of her.
Once out of the hospital, Luna angrily asked, âWhyâd you give her attitude, man?â
âI didnât. I just donât get what I should do to warm her up. Seanâs been nice to her, but sheâs still
indifferent toward him,â said Josh. If they hadnât asked her to visit Gary when he was in the hospital,
she wouldnât show up.
âWhat do you mean sheâs cold? She never stayed with your family a day in her life, and you want her to
treat you like youâre her real family? Are you stupid? And you have Î Î right talking about her
relationship with Sean. Luna wanted to leave.
Josh said, âMy parents miss her. They really do
âThatâs their problem. Just because theyâre your parents doesnât mean theyâre hers. Just because they
miss her doesnât mean she has to respond to them. Think about it. If you get a cat and lose it in
months, only for someone else to raise it for years, will that cat still remain friendly to you when you find
it? Yeah, thatâs the same for humans, too,â said Luna angrily.
âI have no idea what I should do so she will accept us. I canât help but get angry a lot of the time,â said
Josh in resignation.
Luna harrumphed. âYou think itâs easy to make her accept you guys? You and your parents have to talk
to her every day. She might have a sharp tongue, but sheâs a softie. Sean. hounds her all the time, but
she never kicks him away. And they share a good relationship
now.â
âYou mean we have to toss our pride away and ask her for k*sses?â Josh asked. Boy, Iâve learned how
to talk mushy after getting along with Luna.
âYeah. If you donât do anything just because she told you off, youâll never make any progress. You guys
lack some time together, and if you donât pick up the slack, good luck getting into her good books,â said
Luna seriously.
Now that he had guidance, Josh smiled. He held Lunaâs hand. Seriously, he said, âThank you.â
âDonât thank me. Just be kind to Abigail. Your family owes her. You canât get mad at her,
you hear?â Luna tensed up.
Iâm not angry at her. You know I just needed to vent,â said Josh.
âYou werenât as patient as before. You were so nice to her, but ever since you showed Kelly a bit of
kindness and she responded to it, you think Abigail should be like her. But Kellyâs evil. Sheâs a snake.
Abigailâs response is the normal one,â said Luna seriously.
âYouâre right. Iâm sorry.â If Mom and Dad find out, theyâll lecture me like Luna did.
Luna held his hand in return. Pleased, she said, âGood. If she accepts you as family, Iâll be her sister-in-
law!â She laughed. Now, she thought it was good marrying Josh. At least she could be her friendâs
older sister.
