Chapter 635
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 635 Taking Medicine Properly
To Sean, Vincent and Marthaâs actions now seemed like desperate measures. Having suffered
repeated defeats, they had resorted to such underhanded tactics to deal with Abigail.
After they left, Sean went to the kitchen with Abigail. He sniffed the scent of traditional medicine and
wrinkled his nose. âThis smell is really unpleasant. I drank it once when I was a child, and it was so
bitter that I almost vomited.â
âIf youâre so delicate, I really dare not marry you,â Abigail said calmly as she looked at the pot of
medicine.
Sean could only sigh at her words. âI will take the medicine properly.â
In the evening, when Lawrence and Scarlett returned, Sean had already gone back to his place. At the
dining table, Lawrence asked Abigail, âHow did the examination go today?â
âNot very well,â Abigail replied. She didnât want to say too much in case Luna felt guilty when she found
out. Furthermore, she knew that Sean also didnât want Luna to feel guilty about this matter.
âWhat do you mean by ânot very well?â Scarlett asked gently, but Abigail couldnât decide if she should
tell them.
Seeing her hesitant expression, Lawrence sensed that the situation might be serious. âTell us, and if we
canât solve it, weâll find a way together,â Lawrence said lovingly as he looked at her.
Abigail looked at him and answered, âThe doctor said that his internal organs had been severely
damaged from his previous injuries in the Golden Triangle. The functions of his organs are declining,
and he may live for a maximum of sixty years.â
Lawrence turned to Scarlett, who immediately held Abigailâs hand. âDonât worry. When Iâm free, Iâll help
you find a better doctor.â
âOkay.â Abigail nodded. Since she didnât know any famous or skilled doctors herself, she could only
listen to Scarlett.
After dinner, Lawrence called Josh home. âDo you want to tell him about Seanâs situation?â Lawrence
asked Abigailâs opinion before Josh returned.
Looking at him, she said, âWhat good does it do if we tell him? Besides, I think telling him will only add
pressure to their conscience.â
Originally, if Sean hadnât almost fainted for no reason, they wouldnât have known about his health
problems.
âI just think he should know so that he can treat Sean better in the future,â Lawrence said softly. After
all, they would become a family in the future, and it was inevitable for family members to have
disagreements. Should Josh have an argument with Sean about something, he should think about
what he had done for Luna and give in.
Abigail was quite conflicted as she didnât know whether she should tell Josh about this matter or not.
Based on her understanding of Sean, he definitely wouldnât want her to tell the Pearsons, but since
Lawrence and Scarlett had accepted it, she felt that hiding it would only make them speculate.
Itâs okay to tell Josh, but he canât tell Lima. Itâs not that we want to hide it from her, but I feel like weâre
not at that stage yetâ Finally, Abigail compromised.
Lawrence nodded. âI understand. You can trust Josh to handle it.â
As they were talking, Josh had already returned. âWhatâs going on?â he hurriedly asked as soon as he
entered.
Abigail handed Seanâs test results to him, and Josh looked confused, but he slowly understood after
reading them. âDo we need to find a doctor for him?â He returned the results to her.
Abigail frowned. âNot for now. Letâs see how he responds to traditional medicine first. Donât tell Luna
about this; itâs not her concern.â
âI know.â Josh nodded.
âAnd you
you canât argue with him in the future. You have to be accommodating in everything, understand?â
Lawrenceâs main goal was to have Josh treat Sean better in the future.
âI understand, Dad.â Lawrence looked at Abigail because now, he was more worried about her. After
all, she was the one who would spend her life with Sean, and no one was more heartbroken than her
right
now.
After Lawrence went upstairs, Josh looked at Abigail, wanting to say something but hesitating.
âJust say it. Donât act like this.â Abigail felt that things werenât that serious yet, and his behavior made
her awkward.
âAre you upset?â Josh asked softly. As Abigail always had a cold demeanor, it was hard for him to
figure out what she was thinking.
Abigail shrugged. âBeing upset is useless. Many experiences have taught me that once something has
happened, we should look forward. Dwelling in pain without any purpose wonât help.â She had already
gotten used to moving forward in disappointment and sadness.
For a moment, Josh didnât know what to say and furrowed his brows. âRegardless, whatever you need
in the future, I will always be there for you.â
âThere probably wonât be such a time,â Abigail replied.
âNo matter what, once I say this, it wonât change,â Josh said. He hoped to do something to help her, but
he felt powerless. Just like her, he couldnât do anything.
The weather slowly turned colder, and Sean spent his days taking medicine. Gradually, Abigail felt a
faint smell of herbs on his b*dy.
The winter in Capitalis was freezing. One day, when Sean drove to L.Moon, his car had some problems
due to heavy snow, so he took a cab and started coughing.
âLetâs go to the hospital,â Abigail said nervously when she saw him coughing.
