Chapter 83
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 83 Abigail Quits
Abigail felt like she was the only positive one in this marriage. Sean was glued to Joan, so a single
phone call from her could make him leave, yet it was because of him that Abigail had to be cautious
with her actions on the show.
Many frustrations were pent up inside her, and she clenched the hand at her side tightly.
After returning to Lunaâs room, Abigail sat at her workstation and silently attended to her tasks. Luna
was dealing with the matters related to L.Moon and sensed that something was off with Abigailâs mood.
She looked up and asked, âWhatâs wrong? You seem frustrated.â
Abigail, who was about to transfer some photos to her tablet, relaxed her tense expression upon
hearing Lunaâs question. âItâs nothing. Are you still dealing with L.Moonâs orders here?â
âDue to the recent popularity of you and Sean being a couple on the show, weâve been receiving many
studio orders. Iâm currently delegating them to the designers,â Luna replied with a smile
when she mentioned those orders.
All of Abigailâs resentment toward Sean was rendered useless by Lunaâs words. She lowered her gaze
and nodded lightly, saying, âThatâs great. Iâll start the embroidering. Otherwise, the time given
by the production team wonât be enough.â
L.Moon still depended on Sean, so even if she harbored lots of resentment toward him, this show
had benefitted her and Lunaâs studio.
Her interactions with Sean had also brought in quite a few orders for the studio. Luna sensed that
Abigail was in a rather bad mood, so she set aside and poured a gla*s of hot water for her. âWhatâs
really bothering you? You seem upset. Iâm your sister, right? Canât you confide in me?â
Abigail inserted a memory card into her tablet and smiled at Luna. âWhere did you get the idea that Iâm
in a bad mood? Iâm just a bit tired. Itâs fine; weâve received quite a few orders thanks to this show.
Thatâs already good.â
Luna looked concerned. âIf youâre really upset, we can withdraw from the show so that we donât
have to see that lovey-dovey couple and feel bad.â
âNo. Iâll wait until my grandmotherâs health improves, and then Iâll sever ties with him,â Abigail replied
gently.
Luna patted her shoulder. âAlright, focus on your work. Donât overexert yourself.â
Meanwhile, Joan stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window in her room, her eyes cold as she spoke
on the phone. âIs this really going to work? Iâm afraid if it gets discovered, Sean will be angry.â
âJust make sure he doesnât find out. Find someone to a*sist you,â the person on the other end of the
line advised.
âOkay, I understand,â Joan replied before she hung up.
Shortly after that, Nina knocked on the door.
Joan opened the door and immediately had a friendly smile. âYouâre here. I wanted to talk to you and
confirm what you saw last night.â
Nina entered her room, and after closing the door, Joan wore a harmless smile as she asked, âYou
really saw Sean, right?â
âAs long as youâre sure that the room next to Abigail is his, then itâs him,â Nina replied cautiously. She
couldnât afford to offend anyone, especially not the major investor in the show.
Joan smiled and sat down nearby. âDo you want Abigail to leave the show?â
Nina looked at Joan with a forced smile. âAbigail leaving the show doesnât really benefit me as a
designer.â
âSean hired Alana, especially for me. If you want to compete with her, you can dream about it. If
you step back and receive an outstanding award, thatâs still achievable.â Joan refused to beat around
the bush.
Nina pursed her l*ps, contemplating for a moment before asking, âHow do you want me to help you
get rid of Abigail?â
âAbigail has injured her leg, and Victor is rather fond of her. You have plenty of room to work with
there. Why do you need me to teach you a method? After all, the award from the show comes with a
prize of over a million, and the clothes you design will bear the logo of the luxury brand that Sean owns.
Isnât that enough incentive for you to use your brain?â Joan had a sweet smile, but there
was a piercing glare.
There was tension on Ninaâs face. âIâm not sure if your relationship with Sean is genuine or fake.â
Joan raised an eyebrow and, right in Nina, dialed Seanâs number on her phone.
On the other end of the call, Seanâs voice was unusually gentle. âWhatâs up?â
âSean, I want the new Mila bag. Can you buy it for me?â Joan asked coquettishly.
âSure,â Sean replied without hesitation.
Joan replied, her eyes narrowing. She triumphantly tilted her chin and looked at Nina, who was
surprised. âThank you, Sean. Get some rest soon.â
