Chapter 86
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 86 Discussing Insights
Sean tossed his phone aside and felt that Abigail had regained consciousness. Then, he turned his
head to look at her.
Abigail, feeling like an ostrich, couldnât maintain her pretense under Seanâs penetrating gaze. Opening
her eyes, she tried to appear as if everything was normal after their intimacy and looked
at him and said, âIâll call Luna. Iâm worried about her.â
He turned and grabbed the phone on the bedside table.
She noticed the scratches on his back. While they had been intimate as a married couple, this kind
of intensity was indeed a first.
A faint blush crept onto her cheeks when he handed her the phone.
After taking the phone, she dialed Lunaâs number. However, she realized that when she was in a
daze earlier, she had called Seanâs phone instead. And thatâs why he ended up sleeping in my room.
Seanâs gaze remained seemingly normal, but if Abigail were to observe closely, she could notice
that he was different from his usual self.
At this moment, there was a depth in his eyes and a rare hint of emotion in how he looked at Abigail, m
aking him rather alluring.
Abigail lowered her eyes and dialed Lunaâs number.
Luna immediately answered the call with concern. âHow are you feeling? Do you feel any discomfort? Iâ
m not in the room right now as Iâm still handling some matters. If youâre not feeling well, just continue to
lie down. Iâll settle everything!â
Abigail was touched by Lunaâs kindness and replied gently, âIâm okay. Nothingâs wrong. Did something
happen to you?â
Luna gritted her teeth before she chuckled bitterly. âIâm fine. That little punk, Victor, got what he deserve
d. I just donât know whether heâs innocent or not.â
Since they all mingled in the same social circles, even Abigail had no idea whether Victor was truly
innocent.
did you take earlier?â
She thought carefully and replied, âThe same as usual. Nothing special.â
âIf Victorâs involved in this, what would you say, Abigail?â Sean leaned against the bed, his gaze deep a
s he looked at Abigail.
She bit her lower l*p lightly in her hesitation to answer immediately.
Seanâs voice became even colder as he said, âIâve told you before: no one in this production team is ho
nest. Victor is a model, and models depend heavily on the favor
of good designers. Do you he approached you because he likes you?â
think
With a
cold expression, Abigail looked at him. âI never thought that Victor likes me. I helped him to speak up n
ot because I thought he liked me but because I wanted to.â
âYouâd better pray that Victor wasnât involved, or I wonât cut him some slack at all,â Sean said as he pull
ed the covers to rest.
She asked with a hint of confusion, âArenât you returning to your room?â
âDo
you want to make use of me and kick me out after that?â he retorted.
âI didnât mean that, but itâs inappropriate
for you to stay here.â Abigail tried to reason with him. If he remained in her room in such a conspicuous
manner in the middle of the night, it would be difficult to clear her reputation.
Sean pulled the covers over himself and responded, âThereâs nothing inappropriate about it. When you
asked for my help, you said nothing about it being inappropriate.â
His words silenced Abigail, and she leaned closer to him, speaking softly, âThis happened suddenly, an
d it wasnât intentional. If you return to your room at four in the morning and someone sees you, they mi
ght start rumors about Miss Smith.â
âI canât do four in the morning. I can have a change of time. Do you think Iâm not tired after sleeping and
taking care of you for the past two to three hours?â he replied, reaching out to pull her into his arms.
She couldnât help but mutter, âYou never complain about being tired during other times.â
Sean opened his eyes, his gaze like that of a wild beast as it fixed firmly on Abigail. âYouâre different
from normal today.â
Abigail blushed in the shade of a ripe apple.
He had a different idea in mind as he pinched her chin and asked in a low voice, âYou are usually
quite docile, but today? You⦠Damn.â
His final word held infinite implications. Abigail bit her l*p, refusing to utter a word.
Sean leaned close to her ear, his voice low as he asked. âDo you want to know how you made me
exhausted today?â
A deep blush crept over Abigailâs face, and she pressed her hand against Seanâs mouth. âArenât you su
pposed to be asleep?â
He removed her hand with a calm gaze. âDiscussing feedback after the experience isnât a bad idea.â
âNo needâ¦â Abigail withdrew her hand and curled her b*dy, unwilling to look at Seanâs face.
