Chapter 92
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 92 Itâs Raining
âTake the call,â Sean said groggily. He took a deep breath, and he still sounded nasal. He was obvious
ly annoyed by the call.
Abigail noticed that it was from Joan. A moment of silence later, she said, âItâs from Joan.â
Seanâs eyes snapped open, and he took the phone before answering the call. âWhatâs wrong?â
âItâs raining, Sean. Iâm scared,â said Joan, her voice breaking up. She sounded like a crying cat.
Abigail looked at Sean.
âIâm not at the hotel,â said Sean, not as impatient as he was before.
Oh, so heâs going to go to her if heâs at the hotel? Annoyed, she stomped Seanâs calf.
Sean gasped in pain and looked at Abigail coldly. Abigail blinked innocently.
âYou went out?â Joan asked, surprised. She knew Abigail took a leave because her grandmother was
hurt, but she didnât know when Abigail would return. Thatâs a coincidence.
âYes. Itâs personal. If youâre scared, share a room with someone,â said Sean patiently.
Abigail turned her back on Sean and
slammed her head on his taut arm, and her head buzzed. Seanâs arm got numb as well. He looked at A
bigail and pulled back his arm, and then he held. Abigail by the back of her collar. âItâs late. Get some re
st.â Sean lost interest in talking to Joan. He hung up and tossed his phone aside.
Abigail was trying to pull her collar out of Seanâs grasp. Sean held her and turned her around. âWhat w
ere you doing? Venting your jealousy?â
âOh, how would I dare?â said Abigail quietly. âItâs late, and yet you still took the call. Grandma doesnât sl
eep deeply. You couldâve woken her up.â
âSo thatâs why you kicked me?â Seanâs leg was still hurting.
âThat was an accident. I just wanted to stretch my legs.â Abigail wouldnât admit to it.
Sean sneered at her. âDo I look gullible to you?â
Just go back to sleep.â Abigail closed her eyes.
Sean put his hand on her waist and slid it under her shirt.
Abigail tensed up. She said quietly, âGrandmaâs right beside us. Are you mad?â
âYou said sheâs been wanting us to have kids. Sean
looked at Abigail coolly. âSheâll be happy to hear youâre pregnant.â
Abigail held his hand, and she blushed. âWe canât do this.â
Sean was pinching her waist. He huddled closer and said imposingly, âSo, are you going to pull any tric
ks next time?â
Abigail was heating up. She struggled and answered, âNo. No more.â
The bed was small, to begin with, and it creaked when she struggled.
A nurse stood at the doorway. âBe quiet, you guys, even if you are family. The patient is sleeping.â
Abigail leaned in Seanâs embrace and didnât move an inch. Seanâs arms were wrapped around her wai
st, and he held her gently, pinching her softly. âWeâll be quieter.â
The nurse closed the door, her face red. Abigail wanted to bite Sean. You canât say that. She smacked
his hand away.
Sean said, âYouâre going at it again?â
âI am not going at anything.â Abigail grabbed his hand.
Sean pulled her closer. âGo to sleep. Move anymore and youâre falling to the ground.â
Abigail leaned her cheek against his chest. She listened to his heartbeat and said nothing more. If it we
renât for the fact heâs too tired, heâd have gone back to the hotel after Joan called him.
The rain was getting heavier. Abigail was still immersed in her thoughts before she gradually drifted to
leep.
The next morning. Analise wanted to leave the hospital. She didnât have to stay over a little sprain, so A
bigail went along with her wish.
Sean came back with breakfast, but Abigail had done the paperwork. Analise was seated on the edge o
f the bed, and she smiled at Sean. âIf youâre busy, Sean, you can get to work. I have Abigail with me
here.â
Sean looked at Analise warmly. âIâm here, so I might as well stay. What would you like for lunch, Analise
? Iâll whip something up for you.â
Abigail looked surprised. She thought Sean would go back to the set after Analise was discharged.
After all, his sweetheart, Joan, was there.
Analise grinned happily, knowing that Sean wanted to have lunch together. âOh, I canât let you
cook. The maidâs around. She can cook.â
Sean placed the breakfast on the nightstand and unwrapped it. Abigail came to help. When she was go
ing to take the soup, her hand touched Seanâs.
Sean pushed her hand away. âLet me do it. Itâs hot.â
