Chapter 99
I Want a Divorce
Chapter 99 Provocation
As soon as Abigail picked up the phone, she was met with Cornelieâs accusations.
âWhat on earth happened with you? I went through a lot of trouble to find a traditional
medicine practitioner for you, and now, look at what youâve done! Sean
scolded me!â Cornelieâs voice seethed
with anger.
âGrandma, Sean saw the
situation yesterday. If you think Iâm faking it, you can ask him to have the doctor explain it to you,â Abiga
il responded.
âDonât give me excuses! I was trying to help you get pregnant. What did you do? You pulled some petty
tricks behind my back! If youâre really incapable, just divorce Sean yourself!â Cornelie finished her rant
and promptly hung up.
Abigail put down her phone and took a deep breath.
Luna, who had been listening nearby, was furious. Her face turned red, and her neck veins bulged. âWh
at does she mean? Sheâs blaming you for not being able to have children? Who does she think
Sean is? Who would want to have a child for him? Why is she scolding you?â
âIâm not even angry, so why are you?â Abigail calmly comforted Luna.
Luna clenched her teeth and muttered angrily, âThe old woman is being completely unreasonable.
She doesnât even understand her own grandson! Dang it!â
Abigail quickly patted Lunaâs back. âCalm down. Letâs go have breakfast.â
Luna held Abigailâs hand, still seething with anger, and demanded, âWhat happened yesterday
when you went out? What does she mean by âlook at what youâve doneâ?â
Abigail sighed. âItâs a bit complicated. Letâs talk about it after breakfast.â
âIâm too angry to eat,â Luna huffed.
In the dining hall, when Abigail saw Joan, she immediately thought of the medicine
practitioner with the surname âPalmerâ from yesterday.
Uncertain if the two were connected, Abigail sat beside Luna and handed her the cutlery.
Joan spotted Abigail and sweetly inquired, âHowâs your leg? What were you up to yesterday?â
Due to Sean, Luna quickly redirected her anger toward Joan. âAre you two very close? Does Abigail ha
ve to report everything she does to you?â
The live camera quickly shifted toward them.
Abigail arranged the utensils for Luna and gently said, âMiss Smith, please have breakfast.â
Luna leaned back in her chair, gave a forced smile, glanced at the bewildered Joan, and then lowered
her gaze to start eating breakfast.
Joan quickly wore a pitiful expression. She sniffled and said, âLuna, have I offended you?â
Luna acted as if she hadnât heard and continued eating her breakfast, completely ignoring her.
The atmosphere grew awkward.
In the live chat, the viewers couldnât help but speak up in support of Joan.
âAlana is going too far. Treating her own fan like this, and itâs even on a show. Sheâs way too arrogant!â
âHas Joan offended her? Or did they have a conflict that we donât know about?â
âAlana has a big reputation in the design industry, so itâs normal for her to look down on a model. like Jo
an, who rose to fame later. But she shouldnât ignore the fact that Joan has Seanâs support. Could it
be that her a*sistant failed to get close to Sean, so sheâs venting her anger on Joan?â
âWe still donât know why Alana dislikes Joan. Stop speculating! The showâs producers are
professionals, right? Youâre speculating too much with all this chatter! Joan clearly seems fake. Sheâs
always sobbing and crying! So annoying!â
Lunaâs mood was clearly off, and no one dared to provoke her.
After finishing their meal, Abigail returned to her room with Luna.
âThe show is being recorded. Why get upset? Arenât you afraid of getting criticized?â Abigail gently
advised.
Luna walked ahead, seemingly indifferent. âIâm not like Sean. His grandmother annoyed me this mornin
g, so Iâm going to vent on his sweetheart. If she has the guts to kick me out of this show, so
be it. Iâve had enough. What a bunch of nonsense!â
Once they entered the room, Abigail shifted the topic. âYesterday, when I went back, his
grandmother said she knew a traditional doctor and insisted on taking me for
acupuncture. When I got back, my lower abdomen suddenly started hurting.â
Luna looked at Abigail, grabbed her shoulders, and asked anxiously, âWhy didnât you tell me? How are
you feeling now?â
âIâm fine now. Itâs just that the doctorâs surname is Palmer,â Abigail said softly.
Luna frowned. âIs this situation related to Joan?â
Abigail took a seat at the work table. She shook her head and said, âJoan doesnât know Iâm Seanâs
wife. Iâm sure of that.â
Luna sat on the couch, her face darkening. âYou need to ask Sean about this again and see if heâs
investigated. Whether or not Joan knows is one thing, but since that person mentioned that
surname, itâs very likely theyâre trying to provoke you.â
