12 - Could I steal a kiss?
When green met blue || Clexa AU COMPLETED
When Lexa woke up, she only found the empty place, for where Clarke was sleeping. She checked their bathroom and her room, but Clarke wasn't there. Lexa decided to went downstairs. That's where she found her.
The blonde was standing in the kitchen. She had an apron and was holding a pan. Many, many pancakes were laying on the floor, counter, and table. Her hair was in a messy bun, with flour in it. Flour was also on the floor, but still mostly on Clarke.
Now Clarke was trying to flip the pancake on her pan, but she did too strong, and it stayed on the ceiling.
"Seriously?" Clarke asked, shocked, looking up, with wide-open mouth.
Lexa couldn't keep her laugh for longer. "What are you doing?" Clarke looked at her surprised and a little bit frightened.
"Well... I wanted to make you a breakfast, but... kinda... failed it," she pointed at the ceiling, then at the floor and counter.
Lexa giggled. She stepped to her, avoiding pancakes.
"Good morning," she said, placing a soft kiss on Clarke's lips.
"Mmmm. Very good," Clarke answered, smiling.
"I thought, you said, you couldn't cook."
"I did, and still can't."
Lexa laughed once again. "Come on. Let me help you."
Lexa took the pan from Clarke, while Clarke tried to somehow clean the mess she made. It took her five minutes to get the kitchen how it was before she came, and Lexa already made the breakfast for them. They ate it in comfortable silence, only enjoying each other's presence.
After that, they walked upstairs.
"You wanna take shower first?" Lexa asked Clarke
"I already took it," she smiled, pointing at her. Lexa noticed that Clarke was already dressed up.
"Right."
Clarke packed, while Lexa took a shower. She got dressed and packed too, and they could finally go to school.
All the way to school, they were holding their hands, and on the parking lot obviously let go.
This time Lexa was ready for this, and she wasn't as disappointed as she was the last time.
They walked to the group, and a few friends were already there. They sat between Jasper and Mya, and Monty and Harper. Both Harper and Mya were sitting on their boyfriends' laps.
Clarke started talking about something with Lincoln, that was sitting in front of them.
The girls sat really close, but still, Lexa would prefer having Clarke on her laps. She looked at Clarke and the blonde felt this stare. She smiled at Lexa, making her stomach flip.
"Lexa," Mya spoke up as Clarke started talking with Lincoln again. Lexa looked at Mya. "Is there something between you two?"
Lexa for a moment looked at Clarke, scared that she might heard that. But she didn't. She still was focused on the talk between her and Lincoln.
"Yes. There is a huge something between us," Lexa wanted to say. Instead of that, she told Mya:
"No. Of course not. We are just friends," she nodded, smiling lightly. 'Friends' hurt her like hell. But she still lied Mya.
Lexa was aware that Clarke wanted to keep that as a secret. She had a thought, that maybe Clarke was ashamed of her, but she also doubted that. Clare was more likely ashamed of herself.
Lexa didn't understand that, but accepted it, though. It wasn't her secret to tell. How could she? She even didn't tell her mom about Costia.
Mya nodded in understanding. And then the bell rang. Lexa and Clarke went in two different directions as Clarke had math and Lexa chemistry.
Clarke sat alone in her usual desk and took out her book and notebook. The teacher came inside the class and the lesson began.
But after five minutes, that Clarke spent on trying to understand what the teacher was explaining, she understood only that it's pointless.
She opened her notebook on a clear page and let drawing control her.
Lexa coming to the class decided to focus on the lesson. She sat with Raven and that was the biggest mistake she made.
"What do you think about queer people?" Raven whispered, looking at her.
"They are normal people," Raven nodded. "And I don't have any problem with them, of course." A relief showed up on Raven's face. "Why are you asking?"
"I was just wondering. You know I think--" she didn't end up, because someone interrupted them. Well, not someone. The teacher.
"Am I boring you, ladies?" he looked at them, furious.
"No, sir. Sorry," Raven said as apologetic as she could.
He started talking about some stuff again and this time Raven wasn't talking. But she wasn't also listening to him. She was deep in her own thoughts.
The bell rang and it brought up Clarke from her own world. She looked at the notebook.
It was Lexa. Once again she drew her. She decided to give her that.
Clarke took all her stuff and went to her locker. Lexa was already there, taking something from hers.
Clarke put her arm around Lexa and smiled at her. She showed her the painting.
"Wow, Clarke. It's amazing. Thank you," Lexa responded as she took the painting from Clarke. Her eyes were sparkling with joy and she had a light blush on her cheeks. "Could I steal a kiss?" she whispered, looking with hope at Clarke.
"Not here," Clarke said and she grabbed Lexa's wrist, leading her somewhere.
They were walking like that for a minute. They left school and went into the place that Lexa wasn't in before. She was guessing that it was the back of the school.
Finally, Clarke stopped and turned to Lexa. She stepped closer, crashing their lips. She pinned Lexa against the wall. Lexa put her hands into Clarke's hair, playing in Clarke's braid.
And then they heard trample, getting closer and closer to them. Someone was walking to their direction and must've been behind the corner.
Clarke immediately pulled away and looked shocked and scared at Lexa. They started running in other direction then the trample. When they ran behind the next corner, they stopped, breathing heavily.
They looked at each other and started laughing, uncontrollably.
The bell rang.
"We should... probably... go to... school," Clarke said, between the breathes and pointed at the building,
"Yeh... we should," Lexa nodded.
With a grin, they came to school.

After a few more periods, Clarke and Lexa headed to the usual spot for lunch. All of their friends were already there.
"Hey, guys," Bellamy spoke up first when they sat next to him.
"Hey, Bell. Wassup?" Clarke responded.
"We all are going after school to Luna. You two are going?"
"What's the plan?" Lexa asked, looking at him.
"Some movie marathon and swimming pool plus the hot tub."
"Sure," she said.
All of them started talking about details. Clarke was interested in this conversation, but Lexa wasn't. She just stared at all of them.
But her attention caught mostly Luna and Raven.
All of them were sitting in the big circle, and Luna and Raven were on the opposite sides of it.
They were adding something to this conversation, but much often they were just looking at each other, smiling. And no one, except for Lexa noticed that.

The rest periods pasted slowly, cause they were boring, but finally Lexa and Clarke were heading back home.
This time Abby was there. She greeted them with dinner.
Girls thanked her for that, and three of them sat in the dining room, eating it.
They talked about school and work. Everything was cool until Abby hit the wrong topic.
"So, Lexa, Clarke, are there any boys that are interested in you?" Abby smiled at them.
Both of them looked at their plates and cleared their throats. They said: "Nope," and "Not really."
"No one?" Abby asked in disbelief.
Girls just nodded on no and started eating once again.
"Well, maybe you are interested, huh?"
Clarke laughed nervously. Lexa looked at her and saw that she was panicking a little bit, so she decided to deal with it.
"You see," she smiled at Abby, awkwardly. "I'm gay."
Abby stared at her, surprised for a few seconds, but then smiled once again.
"Then maybe some girl?"
Lexa smiled at her kindness and answered mysteriously:
"Maybe..."
Clarke smirked at that, shyly. Abby looked at her for an answer.
"I don't want to go through all that shit again."
Abby nodded in understanding. But Lexa looked at her plate, hurt. Her heart ached like hell and she felt that the tears started forming in her eyes. So, she blinked a few times and smiled at them. She didn't want them to see how painful it was for her. A smile was perfect for that. But it didn't ease this pain.
They talked about a few more stuff and then girls helped Abby with dishes. Lexa started walking upstairs when Clarke said:
"We are going to Luna, okay?"
"Sure," her mom answered and she also went to her room.
Upstairs she saw that Lexa's doors were closed. Clarke also went to her room.
Both of them changed into some more comfortable clothes and packed their swimsuits. But they met eventually, in Clarke's car.
When Clarke saw Lexa downstairs, waiting for her, she smiled, but Lexa only walked out from the house to the car. She frowned but followed her. They were riding in total silence for a few minutes until Clarke couldn't take it anymore. She slowly stopped and parked next to the road.
Lexa, for the first time, looked at her, confused.
"What is it?" Clarke narrowed her brows.
"You don't want to go through this shit again?" Tears once again started forming in Lexa's eyes. This time she angrily wiped them out.
"Lexa--" Clarke finally understood what she said. "That's not what I meant."
Lexa looked at her, with a clear pain in her eyes. You could see by only one stare how much this situation was hurting her.
"I'm sorry."
"You keep saying that. And then you do it again."
"I-- I just-- need some time..." Clarke whispered. Now she had tears too, and she was hurt.
"Yeah." Lexa looked at the road. "Just keep driving."
Clarke hesitated at the beginning, but as she saw Lexa's lifeless face, she started driving. After three more minutes, they were at Luna's. Without a word, they came inside.
