27 - Our story
When green met blue || Clexa AU COMPLETED
"Your mum's out, I thought, maybe we'd give our presents to each other?" Clarke said, looking at Lexa's back.
The brunette was sitting with her legs crossed on the bed, right in front of Clarke, doing something on her laptop.
But she immediately closed it, as Clarke mentioned the good idea.
"Okay, I'll start," Lexa said, already standing up and heading to her room. She came back a few seconds later with a medium-sized box, wrapped in a paper with cute reindeers. She grinned, proud of her present, and handed it to Clarke.
Clarke answered with a soft smile and started slowly unwrapping it. As she opened the box, she saw a big notebook. Her jaw dropped in a nice surprise as she gazed over the cover. It said : Our story. The text was inside a big heart, and all around it were smaller hearts drawn in different colors. Four photos of them in four corners.
Slowly and very gently, trying to not destroy anything, Clarke opened the notebook and got to the first page. There was a date and text that said "the day that we met". Lexa wrote a few things and there was a photo of how Clarke looked that day.
"Where'd you get that?" Clarke asked, looking curiously at Lexa, that was smirking mischievously.
"I might have gone through you snapchat roll." She nodded. "You took this photo that day. I believe that was before you met me."
Clarke gazed from Lexa to the photo again, shocked. "You gone through my snapchat roll?"
"Yes, but don't be mad, please. I wouldn't have done that without it. You're the one taking photos," Lexa quickly explained herself. She didn't realize till now that Clarke could've take that as some kind of invasion of her privacy.
Clarke only smiled softly. "I'm not mad. I don't have anything to hide from you, I don't care if you use my phone."
Lexa smirked relieved. she wasn't the jealous type, but she liked knowing that her girlfriend had nothing to hide from her. "Yeah, but you know, some people just don't like when someone uses their phone."
Clarke took Lexa's hand, gently rubbing her knuckles, just the way Lexa liked. "I don't care, really." She looked once again at the book, and then grinned to Lexa. "How about, I give you my present, and then we will read this?"
Lexa nodded in agreement and seconds later she was holding a very thin present, wrapped in paper. She looked curiously at Clarke last time, before she unwrapped it, as gently as she could. As the paper was gone, Lexa saw herself.
Clarke painted her as she was sleeping, using some charcoal. Every detail of her face was perfectly showed. Lexa stared at the painting in awe. She knew Clarke was talented, but this looked like some masterpiece.
"Oh my god!" Lexa looked up to Clarke, whipping away tears that showed up from those emotions. "I love it so much, thank you!" She moved to Clarke, pulling her into hug.
Clarke, as always, happily leaned into the contact. As Lexa was pulling away, Clarke grabbed her chin with one hand, pulling her into a kiss. Lexa, at first surprised, answered the kiss, already moving in sync.
As she felt herself slowly falling onto the bed, she opened her eyes. Clarke felt that gaze and at a second moved away to notice: "I love you so much." But before Lexa could even answer, Clarke's lips were once again on hers.
The doors to their room sudenly opened.
Girls were used to someone walking in and interrupting them, as that was happening too often, but this time they both froze, too scared to even look who was it.
Lexa opened her eyes and peeked behind Clarke, then she relaxed, gasping with relief.
"That's just me, she's still gone," Abby said, walking in.
Clarke got off Lexa and sat next to her, looking at her mother, with confusion.
"I'm here for some dirty clothes," she said, disappearing in the bathroom. She showed up after a minute in their room again, with now full laundry basket. She noticed Clarke's drawing and stepped closer to the bed, to get a better view. "Clarke, you did that?" she asked, looking proudly at her daughter. As Clarke nodded, pulling Lexa closer, Abby moved her stare to the notebook. The first page was open. "Oh my god, Lexa! This is amazing!" Abby said, admiring the notebook. "You guys, you can thank me for meeting actually. Without me, you wouldn't meet." They both realized of that. If not for Abby agreeing on Lexa living with them, they would've never met. "Okay, I'm gonna leave you now. Enjoy yourselves, till she's back." And she was gone.
"Should we continue reading our notebook?" Clarke asked, already bringing it closer. Lexa just nodded and snuggled into Clarke.

"So, do you have some plans for New Years' Eve? It's tomorrow!" Sonja asked, as she and the girls sat to the dinner. Abby had to go to hospital. She was kinda afraid what she would return to. But she hoped girls would keep being nice to Sonja. Just three more days and she'd be gone. Three days.
"There's a..." Clarke started, but she stopped, as she thought if Sonja would even agree for Lexa to come. Screw her, Lexa's almost of age, she thought. "Party," she ended, looking confidently at Sonja. Lexa didn't hold as much of a confidence as Clarke. "At our friends' house. We're going, right Lexa?"
"Ummm... yeah. If I can, obviously," she answered quickly and looked at her mom, almost sure of her answer.
But she just shrugged and nodded. "I mean, I guess. No alcohol, or drugs, right?" she asked, looking at Clarke, for an assurance.
"Of course not." Not drugs, she added in her mind only.
"And no boys, right?"
"Yeah, of course, I'll keep her away from any," Clarke nodded, smiling as nicely as she could.
"Well, then I guess you can," Sonja nodded and started eating.
The rest of dinner was silent. Neither Clarke or Lexa even dared to look at ech other. After the dinner, Sonja moved to the living room on the couch, where she was doing something on her laptop.

The next day came faster, then they thought. The last day of the year. They both were happy that they were to spend it together.
After a breakfast they went shopping with Luna and Raven. Clarke decided on some nice, red dress, and Lexa bought new top that was supposed to go with some pair of jeans and some jacket.
As they came back, they realized it was already 14 pm. They already ate something in the mall, so they didn't have much to do. Octavia and Bellamy asked them to come earlier to help them put it all together.
Lexa already changed into what she was to wear at the party, but Clarke changed only into some sweats and hoodie. She knew she would just change before the party would start at Octavia's. They didn't put their make up on, either. Sonja wanted to drive them there, and they decided to agree, only because she let Lexa go. She could change her mind any second, and they didn't need that.
"Hey! We're here!" Clarke screamed, as they both walked into the house, without even bothering with knocking.
"Heyy!" Octavia shouted, what seemed like, from kitchen.
They followed the scream, and she was indeed in the kitchen, cooking something.
"You guys hungry?" she asked, as girls sat at the counter, watching as Octavia mixes something in the pot.
"Nah, we ate an hour ago, or so," Clarke answered, smirking.
"Is anyone else here already?" Lexa asked, taking out her phone from her pocket. She unzipped her jacket, leaving it hanging on the chair.
"Raven and Luna should be soon," she answered. She left the pot boiling and joined them at the counter. "My brother is out shopping some alco. He is useful at this point," she said, smirking. Then she got a bit more serious. "What's up with you two? You're always so happy just because you're next to each other, you seem like you lost your verve."
Lexa sighed, looking down. Clarke grabbed her hand, soothing it softly.
"Lexa's mum's here," Clarke said, looking at Octavia's confused face. "She is very... strict. And she doesn't know about us."
Octavia's mouth turned into an O as she understood. "I'm sorry, you guys. You're hiding?"
"Yeah," Lexa nodded. She was angry, but also powerless. That's how she felt her whole life. Never in control. Now, when Sonja wasn't so in her life, she was finally able to live. Clarke showed her that life isn't just surviving, she showed her that she deserves something better than that. Lexa never thought she would fall in love again after Costia. Her head was full of thoughts like love is weakness. But Clarke showed her how wrong she was. And that's why she loved her. Because she was able to help her. "She's leaving soon, tho. It will all come back as it was." She nodded, trying to convince more herself then Octavia or Clarke.
Only if not for the fact that she was wrong...
I'm already working on another chapter so it will show up really soon.
I love you all, remember that <3
