8 - surviving
When green met blue || Clexa AU COMPLETED
Week past fast. Faster then Lexa thought it would. Now she and Clarke were getting ready for the party in their bathroom. Lexa decided - on Clarke's advice - to wear jeans and a black cami top. Clarke helped her with make-up, and soon enough they were heading to Blakes home. Clarke parked near it. Lexa wanted to open the door when Clarke caught her wrist.
"Wait," she said, then let go when Lexa looked at her. "I just wanted to tell you... if you'd want to come back, just tell me, and we'll go."
Lexa surprised froze for one breath, then slowly nodded.
The girls came out of the car and headed to the house. Party already began. The closer they got, the better they could hear the music. Both of them thought that sooner or later some of the neighbors will call the police, but they didn't care.
The door opened and Octavia in a really tight dress showed up.
"Hey!" she said and moved so that girls could come inside. Then she disappeared in the crowd.
Many, many people were dancing in the middle of the room. Some of them were playing in the beer pong, in the corner. In the kitchen was more alcohol. And others were also outside, next to or in the pool.
Clarke didn't lie, Blakes do make the best parties.
Lexa was at first a little bit overwhelmed, by having so many people around. But when Clarke led her to the center of the crowd, Lexa relaxed and danced with Clarke.
"You've got some good moves!" Clarke tried to outshoot the music.
"Thanks!"
They danced to the end of this song, and then Clarke noticed the rest of her group sitting, at one of the couches. She pointed at them, Lexa nodded, and they headed to them.
Raven, Luna, Monty, Harper, Mya, Jasper, Bellamy, Murphy, Octavia and Lincoln were talking about something, until they noticed Clarke and Lexa, after that, they immediately shut up.
"Welcome, ladies!" Jasper greeted them. Lexa and Clarke sat on the couch and nodded at them.
Everyone was holding a cup, except for Lexa. When Bellamy asked her about that, she said:
"I don't want to." Hoping that none of them will question her about that.
"Why, though?" Bellamy looked at her, confused and curious.
"It's her first party," Clarke answered for her. Lexa nudged her, giving her an angry glance, and looking at the rest embarrassed.
"There's always the first time," Monty said and gave her his cup. Lexa shrugged and drink everything from it. Gross.
In the meantime, Octavia disappeared somewhere with Lincoln. Then Bellamy had to go, because someone called him out, Raven and Luna decided to went outside, Murphy went to Emori, and Jasper, Monty went at the beer pong, Harper and Mya to cheer them. That's how Clarke and Lexa became the only ones who were sitting on this couch.
The blonde again led Lexa on the dance floor. But soon enough, Lexa couldn't dance anymore. After this one cup, she drank another four. And it wasn't a good idea. She wasn't drunk, her head found out to be strong, it was just that crowd started to overwhelm her and she wasn't sure of her stomach.
Clarke proposed to come to the fresh air. They sat on the bench, in front of Blakes house. Blue eyes were looking into green eyes scared. Well at least they tried - Lexa stare couldn't focus on something for a long time.
After a few breaths of the fresh air, Lexa threw up to the bin, that was next to the bench. Clarke held her hair and gently stroked her back. After that Lexa felt much better.
Now her eyes could focus on the blue ones and thanked her for a hair.
"You wanna get out of here?" Clarke asked. Lexa nodded.
They headed to Clarke's car and when they were about to come in, Lexa stopped Clarke.
"Wait. You can't drive."
"I didn't drink anything with alcohol," she assured her. " I told you, that we could go whenever you wanted, so I didn't drink."
Lexa smiled at her, thankful.
They went to a car and drove away. After a few minutes, that they spent in total silence, Clarke stopped by some house. They came out of the car.
"Where are we?" Lexa looked at Clarke, confused.
"This is my old house, nobody bought it, so it's just standing here," she said. "I don't have keys, but we can jump the fence."
They went to the fence and Clarke helped Lexa, then jumped on her own. Clarke led them to the back of the house. There was a big tree. They stopped under it.
"I used to climb on it when I was younger," Clarke said. She looked at Lexa, with some kind of insanity in her eyes, and again at the tree. She started climbing on it. Lexa was standing there, not knowing what she should do right now. As Clarke sat on the biggest branch, she looked at Lexa and call her out.
At first, Lexa wasn't sure if it was a good idea, especially that she has never climbed before, but she eventually did it, and soon enough, she was sitting next to Clarke, looking at the horizon. She looked at her watch. It was 10 p.m.
Only street lamps and a few windows from other house was shining. It was dark, but also quiet. Some dog barking far away, some couple fighting inside one of the houses and lonely cars driving sometimes on the road.
"You know, I was thinking," Clarke started and Lexa looked at her, but Clarke was staring at something in front of them. "Why didn't you try to stand up to your mother?" Now Clarke was looking at Lexa.
"It's how I was surviving."
"Maybe life should be about more than just surviving," Clarke looked around. But for Lexa, Clarke's lips were the only thing she could focus on right now. "Don't we deserve better than that?" Clarke stared at her.
"Maybe we do," Lexa whispered. For a second she looked into those blue eyes, then again at her lips, as she started keeping closer to Clarke. Her heart skipped a bit as they noses touched. Lexa closed her eyes and as their lips almost touched she...
BUM.
Felt from the tree.
The wave of pain radiated from her head. She touched the back of it and groaned. As Clarke reached her, she helped her stood and then checked her head. It wasn't hurt, though.
They were looking at each other, for a few awkward moments, and then smirked at each other.
Lexa's heart started to beat speedily when she asked: "So, where were we?"
Clarke looked at her shocked, then at her feet quite embarrassed. Lexa ran her finger down Clarke's face, then took her chin in her hand. The blonde looked at her with a shy smirk.
Now Clarke was the one who moved closer. She slowly closed her eyes, as Lexa did the same. Their faces were again centimeters apart when both of them immediately became wet. Literally wet.
The rain started pouring heavily. Clarke shrieked and speedily jumped out the fence and ran speedily to her car. Lexa stood there for a moment, enjoying and cursing the rain at the same time. Then also jumped the fence and ran to Clarke's car. The blonde was already inside it.
When they looked at each other, they started laughing. Everything they were wearing was wet, so they decided to head home. Inside it, they changed into some comfier clothes.
"Clarke," Lexa turned Clarke's attention at herself, as they were standing in the living room. "Would you go out with me, to the cinema?"
"Yes," she nodded. A lonely thought flying in her mind. Is it a date?
They made it to the cinema in five minutes. Thankfully, the last movie today was starting at the moment. They bought tickets and popcorn, witch Lexa paid for and went to the movie.
The movie turned out to be a horror.
In the middle of it, Lexa was pushing her stiff body to her chair, as hard as it was possible. Every time something scary was happening she jumped a little. Now her hands were tightly holding the armrest, with closed eyes.
As Clarke noticed that, she took Lexa's hand in hers, lacing their fingers. Lexa immediately opened her eyes and looked at Clarke surprised, but she was still looking at the screen. Lexa comforted at this, and they were sitting like this till the end of the movie. After their hands connected, Lexa wasn't jumping, pushing her body, or closing her eyes from the fear anymore. Sure thing, she still was a little bit afraid. But Clarke's act comforted her.
After the movie, they headed back home. Clarke parked at the empty driveway, which meant that Abby still wasn't home. She probably had a night shift.
Inside, both of them sat on the couch. They weren't tired, but they also weren't sure what they could do right now.
Clarke looked at Lexa. "Can I ask you a question?" She was stressed. You could see that, by looking at her hands, which were now playing with each other, nervously.
"Yeh, sure," Lexa nodded. "Hit me," she said and smiled at her.
"Was it was..." Clarke cleaned her throat. "a date?"
"Only, if you wanted it to be."
Clarke nodded, then looked at her hands. "Another?"
"Sure."
Clarke looked into those eyes. "How did you... know?" The last word was a whisper. Very hard to catch.
"I think... I just... knew." Lexa smirked at her. Honestly, she never thought about that. Why? Cause it felt right. "What makes you, asking me about that?"
Clarke looked at her. Her face didn't show any of the emotions, that was burning inside her. At least, Lexa couldn't catch any.
"You."
Lexa stared at her for a one, long, heavy breath, frozen. And then grabbed Clarke's face in her hands, pulling her onto her. As their lips touched, the entire world disappeared.
In the beginning, the kiss was soft and gentle. Clarke slowly put her hands on Lexa's hips, then sat on her laps. She was the one who pulled away for a moment, again looking into those green eyes.
As she noticed Lexa's hypnotized stare on her lips, she crashed them against hers.
Now the kiss was faster, fierce, and passionate. As Lexa touched her bare skin under her T-shirt, she sent shivers around Clarke's spine. Clarke smiled at these sweet feeling. And pulled away, resting her forehead on Lexa's, gasping for air.
Clarke was leaning for another kiss when they heard the sound of the doors unlocking. She jumped away from Lexa, and stood awkwardly, looking at Abby.
"Oh, hi, girls. I'm so tired... I'm going to sleep," she said, looking at them for a slight moment.
And as Abby headed upstairs, Clarke said: "Good night." Abby only nodded and disappeared.
Clarke felt Lexa's strong glare at her, but she didn't turn around. She also headed upstairs. When she was out of Lexa's glare, she smirked and touched her lips.
