After a long day, Vihaan was taking a walk to ease his mind, when he saw the accident...Wee woo…wee woo…An ambulance arrived at a hospital, a girl in her early 20s was severely injured and taken to an emergency room;“Please fill out this form“, the nurse asked a guy who came with her. Vihaan didn't know anything about the girl, who met with the accident. To him, she was a stranger.He witnessed that accident. He was there when that accident occurred so he called the ambulance and came with her. To provide her details, he scanned the belongings to find out about her personal information to fill in the form.While he was searching through her bag, the doctor came out after examining her,“Are you the one who came with the hit-and-run patient?” the doctor asked Vihaan.“I am sorry but due to heavy bleeding, she is no more. Since It’s an accident case, please inform the police”After saying that the doctor was about to leave but Vihaan stopped him “Doctor…”The doctor turned back; ”yes?”“She is registered as an eye donor” he stated showing the registration card along with other paper. In her bag, he found another piece of paper with that registration card. Inside that paper, it was mentioned that she is an orphan and her own guardian.“Then we need to operate on her, please inform the police immediately,” the doctor said glancing over that paper.“Prepare for an operation” the doctor gave instructions to the nurse.In that same hospital in another room,“Congratulations Mr Aarav, you got a donor.” The nurse said with a smile on her face.There was a very handsome boy in his early 20s sitting on the bed holding a diary in his hand. After hearing what the nurse said he was extremely happy ”r..really?” at the moment, those are the only words that came out of his mouth.“Operation will start soon,” the nurse said“Now he'll be able to read that diary he is holding” A thought runs through her mind.“That…. that means I can see again? I'll be able to see again?” Aarav questioned, he still can’t believe, that he got a donor.A year ago when that horrific accident occurs, his family, friends everyone left him. He considered himself "the most unlucky person" but things changed over the past few months, everything was too good, too perfect for him. He got a friend, he became happy and now he got a donor too.“Yes, you can see again,” the nurse said with a smile.“Thank you … thank you so much” Aarav replied in an incredibly happy voice."Operation will start soon" the nurse replied.A few hours later...The operation went well, Vihaan left too but out of curiosity, he took something with him that belongs to the dead girl.Aarav was taken back to his room“We’ll open your bandages after a week,” the doctor said and left the room “Take some rest, Mr Aarav,” the nurse said to Aarav.“She didn’t come yet?” he asked.“Who?” the nurse replied“My friend,” he said.It’s been a week since she last visited him, she used to come every day to visit him but these past seven days he was waiting so eagerly for her but she wasn’t there.“You can meet her tomorrow, visiting hours are already over for today” the nurse replied tucking the bedsheet.“Get some sleep, good night,” the nurse said and left too.“…” Aarav didn’t respond to her, he lay down on his bed hugging that diary.“Maybe she got discharged from here,” a thought run through his mind. “It’s nice that you got well and I'll be able to see you soon too, thank you so much for coming into my life”“I will see you soon, I promise” he mumbled falling asleep, there is still darkness in front of his eyes when he closed them but the ray of hope appears brightest.
