chapter 46

Because I love you (Completed)

*Saturday- the day of the party*Manasvini came to the venue on time. it's Aarav's house, a clear definition of the luxury of life. The lawn was lavishly decorated with lights and flowers, classic shades of blue and white with a touch of modernity. She came inside the house, it's covered in the dark. There is no trace of light. She tried to search for Aarav and others and called them too,  but no one is answering. She took a few more steps...  Calling out his name"Aarav...."And in a blink, everything turned around...  The hall was gleaming in white light, Manasvini was standing a few steps away from the door and she saw him. He was wearing a black tuxedo, sitting down on one knee, holding a red heart-shaped balloon in front of her. It's a dream of many girls, he is like a prince, which was certainly mesmerising for others. It was complicated enough for her to understand, but after hearing him out she was stunned..."Will you be my girlfriend?" Aarav asked "..." She was looking at him and at the people who are surrounding them. For a minute her mind went expressionless. She has no idea how to reflect on his words."...""What are you saying... get up..."  She said in a nervous voice her whole body shaking in uneasiness "Be my girlfriend?" he said again"... Please get up... " she replied controlling her wobbly hands"Not until you accept my heart," he said raising the heart-shaped balloon towards her... " please be my girlfriend," he asked her again."O... Okay," she replied in a reluctant voice. Aarav got up and raised the balloon towards Manasvini but instead of handing that over to her, he busted it."I won" he declared smirking at Manasvini."So... you villager, you can go now""... I really can't stand your ugly face anymore-- give me a rest, get out of here" Aarav said with a hateful look on his faceJust in a moment, that perfect scenery crashed into pieces. People who were jealous of her are now laughing at her... And Aarav is the one who initiated all this. After hearing those mean words from him... after being a laughing stock, after being deceived by him in the name of friendship, there is nothing left for her to say. She saw everything with her own eyes, she heard him clearly. She was well aware of what is happening there. People always do that. It's not surprising for her anymore, to get deceived by someone she trusts. But still... It hurts.Teardrops formed in her eyes, she hold them in, neither cried out nor cursed him... Instead, her lips carved a smile. Hiding her tears she snatched a last glimpse of him before turning around.Taking her strides out of his life, her blurry gaze landed on the bag she was holding up... A gift for him. She placed it on the table next to her... "Happy Birthday Aarav," she said. She can't restrain herself from wishing him... After all, she did consider him as a "friend".
