chapter 57
Because I love you (Completed)
Vihaan drove back home along with Manasvini, she has no idea why they are not in the office but at their residence. She decided to prevent her lips from asking anything as he seemed occupied by some thoughts. Their journey from restaurant to home was quiet and he is still lost somewhere. Every now and then he entered into this mode, more frequently ever since Aarav stepped again into their life. There is a flash of anger visible on his face, nervousness, guilt and a strand of fear are his companions. Whenever he sees Aarav near Manasvini, those four always appear to capture his face. Manasvini took a final glance before getting out of the car. She knows Vihaan isn't going to listen to her neither he will share his worries. She sighed closing the door and strolled towards her apartment."The day I met him again, I found that person to be someone else. He isn't that Vihaan I used to know. The look in his eyes is no longer the same. Those brown orbs have a fear inside them. I sometimes feel like he is keeping something from me. And since Aarav came back, he became more strange. I know he only wanted to protect me from getting hurt but the look in his eyes states something else. Every time he forbid me to speak with Aarav it appears to be... like he is committing a sin. It comes to me as he is holding guilt of something..." A trail of thoughts kept her accompanied and the next moment she was standing in front of her apartment door.Vihaan came back to his house, throwing his coat on the bed he walked towards the closest. Releasing the tie from his neck, he opened the top buttons of his shirt. He took out a towel and a pair of t-shirt and pyjama from the closet and walked inside the bathroom. He turned the shower on without bothering to take off his clothes. Water drops relinquished from the showerhead and fell over his face. "Just why did you come back into our lives" he let out loudly and slammed his hand on the wall. His mind was packed with thoughts. That horrific sight is still clear in his senses when he saw her in the hospital bed covered in blood..."That day if I wasn't got lucky enough... I almost believed that you ...""You don't know how much pain I felt when I saw you there. You don't know how terrified I was at that time, I thought I lost you forever, I thought I lost that one last chance to apologize to you, I am thankful towards that girl who claimed the death under your name, I hate myself for doing that but that was the only way to save you from him. if I haven't seen you that day in the hospital, I was going to blame myself forever... after all, I am partially responsible for everything you had been through...""I can't see you get hurt again, I finally meet you after all these years, I'll protect you till the very last day of my life""I know it is so selfish of me but having you beside me, seeing you every day... that is enough for me... I don't want anything else..." Those thoughts were running all over his mind.*Six months ago: The day of the accident*Manasvini was sitting on the bench, it has been almost a week since she last met Aarav, she had been meeting everyone in these last few days, trying to resolve every issue, every lingering attachment, everything she wanted to do in her life. She decided to do something for Aarav and came up with an unimaginable suggestion... To wipe her own existence so she can be a light of his life... Manasvini lost her parents at such a young age and her aunt made her believe that she is just a piece of crap, her life is nothing but a curse for everyone. Even when six years had passed she left her aunt's house but still, she thinks that her life is useless, she blamed herself for everything... now when she got a chance she is willing to give up her life so that she can return the favour she owed to him. And her life won't be a curse anymore. After all, there is no hope that he'll come back to her."If I can pay you back for the happiness you gave me then I am willing to do anything for you. It doesn't matter if those feelings were lies from your side but they still gave me happiness. The happiness I longed for. It's just for a short time but I was happy to have you beside me." "Just wait a bit, Aarav, you'll be able to live again"
