Chapter 44: Mr. Adams gets his Mrs. Adams! pt-II

Shane's P.O.V. :

"Kick his ass, Lara. Make him realize his mistake." she screamed loudly and hooted.

Mom!? Really?

"Seriously, mom? You're not helping." I said annoyed.

She rolled her eyes. That is when I saw my dad, Cammy, Jason, Josh, Jake, Angelia, Ian and Ashley standing with her at the entrance who were being stopped by the guards to enter the area.

"When did you all arrive?" I asked them still staying at my knees.

"We had to come here, brother. It's not everyday that we get to see The Shane Adams desperately proposing a girl and that too going on his knees. Couldn't have missed that for anything." Ian joked

I rolled my eyes.

"Shane, please continue!" Jake said

"Yes, brother. We want to relive that day at the club again." Ian said and laughed

They all were watching us from the gate along with the others present at the lounge of the airport.

I walked towards Lara and tried to make her look my way but she twisted my arms and kicked me on the back of the knee which made me fall on the ground.

This is enough! I thought as I stood up and within a fraction of seconds, I held Lara's waist and pulled her towards me. And before she could realize what was happening with her, I took the opportunity and sealed her lips with mine. I kissed her with full passion.

How much I missed her kisses! This is heavenly.

I could listen hooting and whistles coming from the crowd.

"That's my brother, The Shane Adams." I heard Ian cheering up for me.

"So this is what happened at the club that night?" I heard my mom asking this

"Yes, aunt. This is exactly the same thing that happened that night." Jake answered

"Oh my god! This is so romantic!.....Josh baby, close your eyes for now. You can learn this from your uncle later on when you grow up." Cammy said to her son

"Okay, mom!" he responded

"That's like my son. I am proud of you. You've kept the name of The Adams. I was also like you, right darling?" I heard dad cheering up.

"You're still the same, honey!" mom replied.

I slowly broke the kiss and looked at her. She was all red right now and I wanted to eat her up.

"Why did you do this?" she asked shyly trying hard to put up an angry face.

"I thought why not relive our first meeting. And also, I was dying for your kiss." I said as I pushed the strand of hair behind her ear gently.

She blushed.

"Get back on your knees, Shany. She hasn't given her answer yet." I heard my mom yell

"Yes, mom!" I said as I got down on my knees again.

"Marry me?" I asked again

She looked at everyone then at me.

"Ummm..."

Lara was cut off in the mid way when we heard my mom.

"SAY 'YES', LARA! I KNOW MY SON IS AN IDIOT BUT SAY 'YES' FOR ME!" my mom was yelling at the highest decibel she could scream at standing at the entrance gate of the waiting lounge.

"Mom! I get it. I am an idiot. You don't need to remind me again and again." I said annoyed

She just rolled her eyes and ignored.

Lara giggled.

"So?" I asked

"I w..." she was cut off again

"Say 'yes', Lara!" and there goes my heavily pregnant sister.

"Calm down, ladies! Please let Lara answer." I said as I rolled my eyes and turned towards Lara who seemed to be hiding her smile.

"Lara Jones, will you marry me? Please!" I begged. Yes, I don't have any shame in accepting that I am desperate for marrying Lara so much that I will even do any level of begging for that.

"Why should I marry you? You were about to marry, Tiara. I don't wanna marry someone who was about to marry some other girl." She said as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"I am sorry for that, Lara. But trust me, I did all of those just to keep my father's prestige and his promise to Tiara's dad." I tried to justify my mistake.

"Yes, he's telling the truth, Lara dear. He did that just because of me. We, the Adams' men has always been foolish. He's taken this trait from me." I heard my father screaming from the crowd standing behind my mom who elbowed him and started scolding him for making me to get engaged to Tiara.

"Thanks dad!" I said

"I know it's a tough decision for you. I have broken your heart once and it's understandable if you are afraid to give your heart to me again in the fear of another heartbreak. But trust me, Lara, I will never ever dare to do that again. I was foolish before as my dad said but I have learnt from my mistake. Please forgive me and accept me." I almost begged

"Say, Yes, mommy. Please say yes! Daddy is really sorry. Aren't you, Daddy?" Cara said as she knelt down beside me and held Lara's hand other hand.

Now Lara had both her hands held by us each.

"Yes, my baby. I am really sorry. And thanks for helping!" I said as I kissed her cheek while on my knees.

Lara looked down at both of us in astonishment, then in amusement. She came down to our level.

"I forgive you and I will marry you, Shane. I will be your wife. The answer is YES!" She said as she kissed me on my forehead and then pecked me on my lips.

I stayed there like a statue without saying a word and trying to process everything she said.

"Shane? What happened? Shane? Say something." Lara said but I left her questions unanswered as I stood up from my knees and went straight to my mom.

"Mom...mom...did she just say a Yes!? She said Yes!" I exclaimed as I hugged my mom tightly.

"Shany, you're choking me with your hug. Loosen up a bit...." she said.

I loosened my grip around her.

"And are you really serious right now? Your woman just said a yes to your proposal and instead of hugging and kissing her you've come to hug your mom. Are you kidding me right now? How unromantic can you be?" my mom said looking at me hopelessly.

"You're ruining our name, son." Dad said looking at me disappointed.

"I thought I would collapse if I hugged her after her answer so I came here to get some support. She said yes. I am so happy." I said looking at slightly amused Lara standing at a distance from me.

Everyone present there started laughing after hearing my reply.

"Now go and hug her. Kiss her. She is yours now. And don't forget to put a ring on her finger." Mom said as she patted on my back

Without wasting another second, I walked towards Lara hurriedly, carried her in my arms taking her by surprise and swirled her around. She chuckled.

"I love you, Lara. I love you so much. Thank you so much!" I said excitedly trying to restrain the tears from falling.

"I love you too, Shane." she said as she kissed lowering her face down towards me.

Everyone hooted and whistled again.

"Say that again so that I can believe my ears." I said looking into her eyes.

"I love you too, Shane!" she said, shyly.

"Yay! Now mommy can marry daddy for real this time because they love each other! Yay!" Cara said excitedly as she started clapping and jumping around us.

We started laughing.

I slowly put her down and looked into her eyes.

"Thank you!" I whispered slowly and slid the ring on her finger and kissed her hand which made her blush. We were completely lost in each other's eyes.

"AAAHHHHHH..." we suddenly heard a loud shrill

So we turned towards the sound and found Cammy holding her bump and crying in pain. Jason, her husband was panicking holding his wife's hand.

"Oh no....her water broke. Let's get her to the hospital QUICKLY!" mom said in panic

We all exited the airport and rushed Cammy to the hospital.

****5 Hours later****

Cammy gave birth to a healthy and beautiful baby girl.

Jason came out of the operation theater carrying his angel in his arms with tears in his eyes. He always wanted to have a daughter. And finally, he's become a girl dad today.

We all were standing in the corridor in pairs to get the chance to hold the little angel.

First, Jason gave angel to mom and dad who held her and kissed her. They were eagerly waiting for her arrival since the day the day of the gender reveal.

Jason took angel from them and knelt in front of Josh, Jonah and Cara so that they could see their little sister.

Then Ms. Jones and I got the chance to hold the baby. Lara took the responsibility of carrying her in her arms gently and I took the opportunity to kiss her and the baby.

"Can't wait to start a family with you, Lara." I whispered in her ear and she shushed me trying to hide her blush.

We then passed angel to Jake and Angelia. And finally Ian and Ashley got the chance to hold the baby but they didn't get to hold her for longer because they started fighting over who is gonna hold her in their arms.

We all started laughing looking at their fight.

Jason took the baby inside the room where Cammy was resting. Josh, Cara, Jonah along with my parents followed him inside.

We were also about to follow them when a doctor came out if the delivery theater. He was in his green gown and had his surgical mask on. He came towards us and opened his mask and we are left shocked.

"Lee?" The girls said in unison while we men rolled our eyes.

The girls left our arms instantly and ran towards the surgeon and group hugged him.

"Hey, what the f*c#! Surgeon?" we three said in unison.

We pulled our girls towards us.

"You're here? You were supposed to be in China, right?" I asked gritting my teeth

"Yes, Mr. Adams. I have come here to train few of the interns in this hospital. Since your sister had some complications during the delivery so I was called to the OT to perform the c-section on her. But there's nothing to worry. She's absolutely fine now." He said and smiled.

"Wow! It's such a great news that you're here. And thanks for Cammy's surgery." Ms. Jones thanked the surgeon.

"Thanks to him for performing the surgery successfully...but there's nothing great about him being here in the city." I said the last sentence slowly but Lara heard it and hit on my stock with her elbow me.

"What?!" I asked raising my eye brows

She silently warned me with her expressions to keep quite and so I did. I have already faced her anger at the club, at the airport and don't wanna face it in the hospital as well. I better shut up.

The surgeon laughed looking at us.

I glared at him.

"I know you three hate me. It's completely understandable. Any guy would be jealous. But let me tell you that there's absolutely nothing you need to be insecure or jealous about...I will never try on your girls because I am more interested in trying my luck on you guys." He said as he winked at us and chuckled. He then left leaving Jake, Ian and me in an utter shock. We were completely taken aback by his revelation.

"Lee is interested in men and not women." Lara said as she rolled her eyes and so did Ashley and Angelia. They glared at us for a while and then left us in the corridor and went to meet Cammy.

"We were getting jealous, angry and insecure for nothing? We went to the baking competition for nothing? We're such an idiots." Jake said as we three looked at each other contemplating how stupid we were being.

We followed the girls into the room to see Cammy.
