The moment he saw Lin Qiao, he knew that she was the thing that he was trying to find. He and his people didn’t have the power to take her away, and she surely wouldn’t follow them.

“No? What should we do then? We’re tens of miles away from Upper City District. If we go like this, I’m afraid not many of us can make it to the base safely,” said a man who wasn’t willing to give up.

As the group of people left, a huge black snake slowly crawled down the tree. The snake coiled his body on the branches near Lin Qiao and glanced at Sun Lunan and his people with cold eyes.
