Lunch Dates and Dinner Dates
Roomies
I recently came to my senses and realized how often I end up going to my room; by myself, I might add. To fix that, I thought maybe I should truly go out and do the same as Jace does; well, meet a boy that is, not a girl. I'm half way there anyways, I had faked a breakfast date, and they all were right. Who even goes on a breakfast date?
It was just before lunch when I had finally come out of my room. I really hadn't done much in my room, I had watched a movie before I got hungry. I could eat more than any boy I know, and so that bagel definitely did not fill me up and I could definitely use a snack before my lunch plans with Noah.
I left my room and headed towards the stairs until I heard moaning. I swear if that is freaking Hayley- my thought was cut short by the giggling that erupted from downstairs. I continued as I was before, walking down the stairs to find Hayley and Kyler on the couch, deep in conversation. Jennifer, Hayley's words had rang in my head, the pretty ones are always named Jennifer...
I was surrounded by couples, well couple-like people.
I made myself a quesadilla and it was in the middle of cooking in the microwave when the front door shut and Jace walked into the kitchen giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"She was a good lay," he expressed to me.
"Thanks for informing me," I spoke sarcastically, "because I so wanted to know the details of your sexcapades."
"Are you jealous, Ali?" He asked me. He placed a hand on my waist, pulling me in slightly as the microwave beeped.
"Don't call me that, Jace," I warned placing my hands on his chest and pushing him away for me. "I don't go by that name." I opened the microwave, pulling the plate out.
"That other guy called you that," he argued. "Why can't I?"
"Are you jealous, Jace?" I threw back at him.
"Oh babe, I'm not the jealous one between us two. Clearly you are, seeing how the other night-"
"The other night meant nothing, Jace. It never means anything, I just felt like it, same as you. Jennifer isn't exactly quiet with her moaning."
"She enjoyed it and maybe you will too." That priceless smirk of his started to show. "Prove that it meant absolutely nothing to you and go out with me. And if it does I'll drop it, and if you end up falling for me then clearly that's the prize."
"Fine. Let's have dinner tonight, just the two of us."
"Tonight." He kissed my lips gently, before walking over to the refrigerator and grabbing a bottled water and leaving the room.
How on earth have I kept hooking up with Jace a secret from Hayley this entire time? I have no clue, oh wait maybe it's because she has been too caught up with Kyler.
I took my quesadilla upstairs to my room so that I could eat and get ready to see Noah. He had texted me last night to ask if two would be an okay time for lunch, and being how I am, I agreed.
It took me roughly forty minutes to get ready and by then it was 12:15 in the afternoon. I tidied up my room a bit before returning to the world of the living and walked downstairs leaving my hermit cave. However that hermit cave follows me apparently, seeing as how I am the only one sitting downstairs again. I looked out the window to see if Hayley or Kyler's car was outside. Kyler's was, Hayley's was not.
"They left, Kyler's parents aren't exactly one's to be able to go on with life without their children around and they wanted to see him and meet Hayley. He does go on about her a lot," Jace spoke from behind, surprising me a bit.
"So it's just us two here?" I asked him as he walked towards me, but he ignored me or so I thought. He actually ended up kissing me, which I guess was his answer to my questions. He placed one hand on the small of my back and the other on my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck, both of us pulling each other closer. His lips traveled from mine, to my jaw, kissing across and down my neck sucking hard enough to leave a mark.
Then it dawned on me, he is sucking hard enough to leave a mark! I shoved him off of me. "Jace! You're going to leave a mark and I'm going out with Noah, you idiot," I scolded him.
"Who?" He thoroughly seemed confused.
"Noah, the boy who came to the house the other day," I reminded him, although I know he knows who I am speaking of.
"Ah.. The infamous ex-boyfriend."
"He wasn't a bad boyfriend, I was just... I was simply a stupid girlfriend at the time, okay? Now do we have to get into this. Can you just leave it alone?"
"I'm not pushing it, Lex, but I will do other things." With that he kissed my lips, then my cheek, my chin after, and then gave me little kisses across my jaw, and I enjoyed every little bit of it.
Now I sounded like a little girl with a crush. I. DO. NOT. HAVE. A. CRUSH. ON. JACE. REYNA.
With every bite he now left on my neck, I let out a small moan. Eventually we moved to the couch, taking his shirt off first. This boy was gorgeous half naked, and I say that knowing full well before hand that he would be. His body was perfectly defined and tanned a bronze that most girls would envy. My back hit the cushions of the couch and Jace found himself on top of me. My hands ran down his chest and made their way to his back. My dress being strapless made it easy for him to bite and suck on my shoulder, not in a vampire way, but in a I-want-you kind of way. This caused me to arch my back and moan his name. He kissed my shoulder following the path up my neck and to my ear to whisper, "I love hearing you moan, especially my name."
I kissed his jaw and then his lips, running my tongue against his bottom lip leading him to granting me access to his entire mouth and God did he taste good. He quickly pulled away though, breaking the kiss. He got off of me and the couch, pulling me up so I was standing facing him and quickly he began kissing me again. My arms found their way around his neck as his found their way under my thighs lifting me up, so naturally I wrapped my around his waist as I continued to kiss him.
I was so focused on where this was going that I didn't pay any attention to where we were going. The door slamming shut behind me brought me out of it. He led us to his room, which I hadn't been in. The room like the rest were painted an eggshell white with blinds on the window which were open. I took in my surrounding while he continued to kiss down my neck. He had a wardrobe like the rest of us, but his had a TV on it along with an Xbox in it (not entirely sure which one it was, I think the Xbox one but who knows). I was knocked out of my thoughts again when my back hit the bed. He got on top of me again kissing down my chest. One of his hands held him up above me while the other slid up my thigh going under my dress but I was interrupted from our solo delusion from the sound of my phone ringing, that didn't stop Jace though.
"Jace," I attempted to say but it came out more as a moan. "Jace," I tried again but this time was no different. I came to my senses eventually and pushed him off, well tried but he only continued to kiss me more. My phone finally stopped ringing and Jace had flipped us so that I was straddling him. His hands went to the back of my dress to unzip it as he continued to grind little Jace into me. I could feel that he was completely turned on. He got the zipper half way down before my phone began to ring again. His hands dropped from my back and his head fell to his sheets as he let out of a sigh.
"You're phone, Lex," he murmured.
"I know, I'm sorry," I apologized to him. I gave him a gentle kiss on his lips before getting up and leaving his room. I rushed over to my room to grab my phone but I missed the phone call again.
Hayley's name was on the lock screen.
Sorry I know you're probably out with Noah right now but I'm scared his parents don't like me! Text or call me soon! Please!
I decided I'd just text back just because it's easier at time rather than talking to her over the phone.
Hales you're fine and I'm sure they love you. But it's rude to be on your phone! So pay attention to them I'll talk to you tonight! Love you!
She is someone to obsess over little details and I know that they would love her, who doesn't?
I set my phone on my nightstand again and walked back to Jace's room where he was still laying on the bed in the same spot with no shirt on and his arm thrown over his eyes. I quietly crept over to his bed and got on top of him. He moved his hand from his face onto my sides and smirked at me. "Couldn't resist me?" He asked in that cocky tone he always seems to be speaking in.
"I guess not," I spoke before leaning down to kiss him.
"Where would you like to go for dinner tonight?" He asked after breaking our kiss and laying back down. His hands continued to rub my sides though. "I heard that there's this Italian restaurant in town that's supposed to be really great."
"Let me guess, you've already tried it with one of those girls?" I asked with a small twinge of jealousy.
"What?" He furrowed his brows and moved his hands from my sides down to my thighs.
"Jennifer and the other girl I never got the name of. Oh and any other girls you've hooked up with since we been here. Is that the place where you take all of us girls?" I crossed my arms over my chest slightly getting pissed from the conversation. I'm not exactly a dating kind of girl, but he was persistent and I am definitely not like every other girl nor do I want to be treated like it.
"No. I haven't been there before." His hands moved off my thighs, back to my side and he lifted me off him and onto his bed.
"You pissed at me now?"
"I'm just not in the mood anymore, Lex. The phone ringing killed the mood."
"So it has nothing to do with me asking about the restaurant?" Knowing full well that he was pissed. "I thought you were always in the mood."
"Well I guess not. I haven't been to that restaurant, Lex. I haven't even taken any of those girls out. I was just trying to be a nice guy."
"Really? Because I thought you were trying to prove your theory of me liking you, that it's not simply just a hookup like it is for you. And anyways, last I checked you took Jennifer out for coffee." He got up and was now pacing the room, well if I know how to do something well it's pissing off boys for no good reason. That thought alone made me smile.
"I didn't take her out for coffee. I ran into her there when Kyler and I were buying breakfast for all of us. You refuse to believe I'm a nice guy and- why are you smiling, Alexis?"
"No reason."
"No reason? We we're in the perfect position a few minutes ago and then you brought up all this and now you're smiling and there's no reason? That BS."
"I find it funny that you're pacing the room." I giggled. The mood in the room switched completely. He walked over to me and started tickling me, making me laugh more.
"You find it funny? Well I find you giggling funny." He slowly stopped tickling me and just stared at me. I stared back though, it felt like we were looking at each other forever but it wasn't awkward. He began to lean in to kiss me but then my phone began to ring from the other room again. He stood back up to straighten himself out while letting out a sigh.
I gave him an apologetic look before getting up to walk out the door. I ran to my room to go yell at Hayley already knowing it was her calling but when I picked up the phone Noah's name was on the screen. I slid the lock screen to unlock.
"Hey Ali, I'm out front," Noah's voice spoke from the other side of the call.
"Okay! Coming," I responded. I grabbed my purse off my bed, checked the mirror and fixed my hair before running out the door to Noah's truck.
As we arrived at the restaurant, I began rolling up the window. The car ride hadn't been as awkward as I had expected it to be. At first it was slightly awkward but once we got talking it was like how we used to be, well before we were dating.
We walked into the restaurant, well it was called cafe brulee (as in creme brulee) but it truly was more of a restaurant than a cafe. It was perfect weather so when asked to choose between inside and outside, I quickly jumped in an answered outside before Noah got a chance.
"Right this way," the hostess said as she grabbed two menus and led us to the patio. "How is this?"
"It's perfect," Noah answered as he flashed a smile her way.
She handed us each a menu and told us, "your waitress will be with you shortly. Enjoy your meal." She gave Noah and I a smile. I will admit, Noah always has had that boyish charm. Now it's not the same as Jace where he is sexy, but Noah was definitely adorable and got many girls attention just as Jace seems to. I would call Jace a... a Damon Salvatore and Noah was more of a Stiles Stilinski. I was definitely never his Lydia though.
"Ali?" Noah asked sweetly.
"Hmm?" I responded not paying attention to what he had previously said.
"I asked if you were okay. You were kind of just staring at me," he explained with a slight blush to his cheeks.
"Oh" I murmured. "I was just thinking to myself. So what were you saying in the car about Abigail?"
"Just that she's a great girl, Ali and I know she'd love you if you gave her the chance to meet you. I understand we are just speaking again after everything that has happened in the past but she doesn't know that we dated, just that you were my best friend and that's all she needs to know."
"So you're lying to her about us, well more specifically what we used to be?"
"Ali, that's not what I'm doing, so please don't twist what I meant by the situation that we're in."
"And what situation is that exactly, Noah? That you're currently having lunch with a girl that isn't your girlfriend, in fact she is quite the opposite. She's the ex girlfriend that cheated on you."
He stared at me for a little while before rubbing his hands on his face. I could tell it was a sign of defeat.
"I'm sorry, Noah," I whispered out.
"Let's just change the subject, yeah?" I nodded my head in agreement. I didn't really want to turn this lunch into a dispute, but anyways... "I was reading the other day this article and it has some questions on it. We should do them, kind of to catch up."
"Sure." I smiled at him before looking back down at the menu trying to decide on what to have for lunch. While Noah was looking for the article on his phone, well I assume he was doing so, the waitress came up to take our drink order and quickly left but not before giving Noah a smile. Simply, Noah, not myself included, just the boy. It wouldn't be the first time I was mistaken for Noah's little sister, even when we were dating. Not that I'm anything more than that now, if he would even call me that but still she doesn't know that, so it's just a bit rude.
"Question one," Noah said breaking the silence. "If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, who would it be?"
"Noah," I laughed, "these are getting to know you questions and I know you pretty damn well."
"You could have changed, I don't know," he argued with a smile.
"I can honestly say I am the same as when we used to talk."
The waitress came back over with our drinks and took our order. She had asked if we were splitting the bill or putting it on one tab and Noah and I went for different answers. I said that it was split but he said that it was one tab. After a minute or two of arguing I reluctantly settled on putting it on one tab.
"Noah, I can pay for my food."
"It's on me, really. I asked you to lunch."
"Noah..."
"Ali..."
"I'll pay you back for this, I'll take you out for something else to make up for it."
"No, no it's okay. Ali please stop, it's fine. I can pay for you it's no big deal."
"Yeah I remember..." He used to always say that. Noah's family had some money and he always said he wouldn't mind, and that it was no big deal.
He leaned over the table and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Ali, I can see the gears turning in your head. It's no big deal, one lunch. Just relax."
"You really like Abigail, right?"
"Yes, why do you ask?"
"I just wanted to confirm that. That you love her."
"I didn't say that, I said I really like her. I'm not one to use that word. Love."
"Since when?"
"Always. I mean I've said it to a couple people. My parents obviously and I've said it to you and Hales in a friendly way-"
"And to me in a not so friendly way, so why not her?"
"Because I'm not sure if I'm in love with her Ali, I love her like I love Hales and you obviously. No matter what I will always love you like that even though-"
"Even though I cheated..."
"I was going to say even though we don't talk anymore but yes I will still love you despite that fact."
"Noah I want you to know that I-" I was simply going to try and explain. Yes, I have meaningless hookups, but at the same time I said a lot of stuff so I wouldn't get attached. I'm not saying I'm in love with him, but he was my best friend; one of the few people I trusted. I wanted him to know that those hookups meant nothing and that if he really likes Abigail he should tell her that he loves her because every girl isn't like me. That I wasn't worth trying to date and I tried to explain that to him but he just kept pushing to give us a chance. So we ended up becoming more than friends at the time.
"I don't want to know Lex, that was forever ago."
"It was a couple months ago."
"And since then you've dated many guys I presume, and I'm with Abigail."
"I haven't dated many guys, I've hooked up with some but not that many."
"Yeah... Why didn't we ever-" he was cut off by a boy bringing us our food. He set a Caesar salad in front of me and a chopped salad in front of Noah. But I knew what Noah was going to ask. Why didn't we ever sleep together?
We had finished our meal and spoke a little more about things that have been going on the last couple months but we never went back to Noah's question that he had when we were interrupted and I was thankful for that because I didn't have an answer as to why we never actually did anything. I mean clearly I had found other ways to preoccupy that part of my life but I never even thought about it with Noah even though we were dating. He was always my best friend and even when we were making out a lot drunk, I couldn't imagine it going any further.
After lunch Noah dropped me back off at the condo. As soon as I walked in, I expected to be bombarded with questions from Hayley, however that never happened. I picked up my phone to give her a ring yet it sent me straight to voice mail.
Still at Kyler's parents', text you when I get a chance or see you in the morning.
Well I assume she's not coming home tonight then.
I walked into the kitchen to see if Jace was there but no one. I saw his car in the driveway so I'm assuming he's here still unless he made lunch plans with one of those girls. I walked upstairs to his room and knocked on the door. No moaning, that was a good sign. "Jace? You home?" I yelled from the outside of his door. It took a minute but then the door opened and he appeared. My eyes travel from his dripping hair and down to the towel wrapped around his waist. Then it dawned on me, the shower was running in his room still.
"Did you say something?" he asked seeming honestly curious.
"Oh sorry, I didn't realize you were taking a shower. I just wasn't sure if anyone was home. Do you know if Kyler and Hayley are coming back tonight?" I asked him. My eyes followed the water droplets that ran down his bare chest.
"I haven't asked but there's no need to keep checking me out. You can join me in the shower," he added with a smirk.
"I think I'll past, don't want to have to end up getting ready again," I lied. I just didn't want to get into the shower with him, no matter how much I was resisting.
"That's not what you're planning to wear tonight is it? Try a bathing suit instead," he grinned before turning around and walking back to the shower, leaving the door open.
I followed him into his room. "I thought we were getting dinner?"
He turned around with that smirk of his."Change of plans, I have something else in mind. It'll be fun, trust me. You'll definitely enjoy it. And it's just a plus I get to check you out in the mean time."
He turned back around and shut the bathroom door behind him.
A bathing suit?
Given it was only about two or three in the afternoon, I didn't have much to do so I stayed in his room. I sat crossed legged on his bed while on my phone singing whatever stupid song came up on my phone. He took a quick shower and then I heard the water finally shut off. I came to the conclusion that he must have just gotten into the shower when I got home because he was in there for about ten or fifteen minutes after shutting the door. Once the water had turned off, I turned off my music and just sat scrolling through pictures online.
He walked back out with a towel wrapped around his waist and he was using another towel to dry off his hair. His head was down and he ran the towel back and forth drying his hair off.
"I can hear you sing, you know?" He asked, sitting next to me on his bed. He threw the towel he was using to dry his hair off on the floor.
"I kind of didn't think about that, sorry. I'm just bored, I don't have much to do."
"How was that lunch date of yours?" he asked. I couldn't tell if he was curious or just asking to ask.
"It wasn't a date, just two friends catching up and it was fine, not that it's any of your business."
He put his hands up in defeat. "Hey, it was just a question." He gave me a kiss on the cheek and placed one hand on my thigh rubbing up and down. "Go get ready for our date, Lex."
"Are we going to the pool?"
"Nope, somewhere much more fun."
I walked off too my room and did as he said. I changed into my bathing suit. It was a very simple white bikini. I grabbed my black, see-through cover up and my phone. I also threw my hair into a braid so I didn't have to worry about it if it got wet. I figured if it's a date, I don't really need anything else, right?
After a good 45 minutes of driving we arrived at a water park.
"This is our date?" I asked him in complete shock. Well I'll give him that it's a creative date not to mention that I love water parks. Literally, not going to mention that.
"I think it deserves a kiss, don't you think?" he grinned at me as he got out of the car, walking over to my side to open the door before I got a chance to.
"I don't kiss on the first date," I told him, even though it wasn't the complete truth. Although, I generally don't get to the first date, I get bored before then.
"You don't now?" he said thinking it's a lie. My back ended up against the back of the car and he stood in front of me, with one hand on the car door. "I guess I'll have to settle for a giving you a kiss on the cheek," and he did as he said, giving me a kiss on the cheek. "There's lockers inside so I was thinking of renting one so we can put our phones, shoes, and the car keys in plus the extra clothes." We left the parking lot and walked towards the entrance.
*****
As the night progressed and the water park closed, we were one of the last few here. The date wasn't actually bad, I quite enjoyed it. We rented one of the double tubes and did a lot of rides with that. We also ended up do races down slide and many times he won. I think it's cause he's heavier than me, then again I was never any good with physics. We also did one of those funnel rides were you end up going around in. I've always been terrified of them but somehow Jace convinced me to go on, and after the third time in line waiting to ride it again, he gave up convincing me to go on something else. We ended the night on the funnel ride to say the least.
We pulled into the driveway at about one in the morning. We hadn't realized earlier that neither one of us brought a towel and it was a bit cold so Jace gave me his tee shirt that had been warm from being in the locker all day. I felt bad though because he had to drive home shirtless and a bit cold but then again, I only felt slightly bad because I was warmer. He both got out of the car and walked inside the house. Immediately I headed to the kitchen to grab peanut butter and pickles. Although I ate like a pregnant woman, I can assure everyone I was not. I had the weirdest cravings at times, but this is one craving that stuck and I love it as a midnight/ one in the morning snack.
"You're eating pickles and peanut butter? Together?" Jace asked with that look of 'you're crazy' on his face.
"You are not allowed to knock it until you try it," I told him pointing a pickle at him as I giggled. I sat on the counter spooning out peanut butter onto the pickle taking a bite.
He walked over and stood in between my legs with his mouth open signaling that he'd try it. I fed him the pickle and he nearly choked on the taste of it, I could tell.
"Yeah, I'm going to knock that eating habit of yours and tell you, you're damn crazy for eating those two together. They should definitely not be mixed together," he remarked with a cringe on his face.
"Well too bad, because they taste freaking amazing to me," I said with a grin on my face before taking another bite. His hands ran up and down my thighs and up to my waist where they stayed.
"And you looking freaking amazing in my tee shirt," he said before kissing jaw. I placed the pickle I was eating back into the jar and leaned my head back and closed my eyes, enjoying his kisses. He kissed back up my neck to my lips to properly kiss me. His hands slid up and down my side before they went back down to the bottom of his shirt to pull it off of me. My cover up soon followed behind, leaving us both in just our bathing suits. I wrapped my legs around him, bringing him closer to me, but he only took it as encouragement to take this upstairs.
Well I'm leaving it there! 4,972 words is the actual text count and that's insane! I'm so incredibly surprised that I actually wrote a chapter that long. Anyways the chapter isn't about word count but context so moving on.. :D
Let me know your thoughts! What's going to happen next? How's the story going? What should I add or change? See you in the next chapter! Remember to vote and keep reading!
Love you guys!
