chapter 1

Drequan

Dre stared down at his pregnant best friend as they made their way to school. As the autmn breeze hit his face he began to think about her past. He hated that her step dad did those things to her.

Flashback

One later afternoon lanique had just gotten home from softball practice. Her mother Mrs.lanet was at work. Leaving her drunken step dad to be there with her.

"Hey Melvin" she said as she made her way to her room. What she didn't know is that he was stareing her down in a way grown men aren't suppose to look at little girls.

Melvin got up and made his way to laniques room pushing open the door. He licked his lips as he looked at her in her gym shorts. She didn't notice until she saw him standing there.

"Wassup melvin, what did you need" she said looking suspiciously.

"Shut up bitch" melvin said punching her in the face. He then took her by her hair and threw her on the ground. He was determined to get what he wanted. Poor lanique tried fighting him off but, he was way to strong.

He ripped her clothes off one by one until she was completely naked. He then stood up and unbuckled his pants ready to get what he wanted. Pain came over lanique as melvin roughly entered her. She tried with all her might to get this man off of her but, her little arms weren't much affective.

Dre had heard screaming but, he didn't know what it was as he set on his porch. He decided to get up and see what was happening. Busting up in laniques house he ran to her room. He was in shock at what he had seen. He didn't waist any time beating melvins ass.

He fought him until he was completely knocked out. After he called laniques mom and the police.

Flashback over

"Dre what are you thinking about. You've been in a daze the past five minutes" nique said waving her hands in front of his face.

"Nothing" he said snapping back to reality. They didn't talk the rest of the way until they had made it to school. As they made there way down the hall way dre carried niques books. He didn't want her carrying the extra weight. Pretty soon they made it to niques locker and dre hugged her before walking off to go meet his friends.

Lanique

"I don't know why you just won't get with him already" niques other friend Tasha said slanging her brazilian. Nique really didn't like her she just tolerated her to keep from being in drama.

"Tasha were just friends" nique said highly annoyed. She really didn't want to be in her presence and plus her mood swings were at an all time high.

"We'll do you got the homework for Mr.Webb's class" tasha said popping her gum.

"Yea" nique said digging in her backpack. She then handed her the paper as they made their way to first period. They had finally made it and niques feet were killing her.

"Pregnant bitch walkin" the class clown said making the whole class laugh. nique hated him with a passion but, she didn't want to tell dre because he would beat his ass.he's to over protective of her.

Lanique began finishing her work from last week as the teacher talked. She was ready for the end of the day already. She didn't feel like dealing with school today.

Drequan

"keep running I don't want to see any walking" dres coach said. Dre loved basketball with all his heart but, he hated working out. He ran his last lap as he looked back to see all the other players behind him. Dre was gifted to had been so fast.

"Ok boys hit the locker room and dre come to my office son we need to talk" coach byson said. This was the last thing dre wanted to do. All he wanted to talk about was him needing to work harder on his grades. Dre really didn't feel like being pressured.

"Wassup coach" dre said sitting in a chair.

"Well since you're dating my daughter tiffany. I just wanted to know are you takeing her to homecoming" coach byson said rubbing his balled head. Dre really didn't like tiffany. She was cool but, she was to much of A daddy's girl and expected way to much from him.

"I plan on it" dre said lying. He just said that to get coach off his back.

"Well you guys could borrow my car and have her back home no later than 11"coach said smiling. He hated that he was being pushed into something he didn't want to do but, he just did it anyway.

"Ok" he said getting up to leave. He really wanted to go home and shower.

"Guess I gotta take this bitch to homecoming" dre said to his self before walking out the door. He was dreading having to deal with tiffany.
