The Search

A few days has pass and two more people disappeared.

Early in the morning.

Capricorn: Knocking on the door* Hello anyone here?

Scorpio opens the door.

Scorpio: Can't you read? We're closed...... what are you doing here?

Capricorn: Scorpio? Well I'm here on an assignment.

Scorpio: Better late than never.

Capricorn: late?

Scorpio: I'll explain, come in.

Scorpio told Capricorn everything that had taken place so far.

Capricorn: How unfortunate, do you know what or who is responsible?

Scorpio: We have a hunch, I believe there's an entity that's trying to cover up something, I just don't know what.

Capricorn: Is Virgo and Taurus with you.

Scorpio: They're currently with Benny, the daughter of the lady you were suppose to meet with, we can wait until they get back.

Capricorn: Back from...?

Scorpio: They're searching the town, looking for oddities.

Benny, Virgo and Taurus are walking around looking for clues.

Benny: Hey, I want to apologize for what I said that night.

Taurus: Its ok, it was a traumatic event.

Virgo: Yeah no one blames you, well not us, don't know about Scorpio.

Benny: Scorpio isn't like what expected.

Taurus: what do you mean?

Benny: Well I've thought Hunters were rude and ruthless.

Virgo: Oh just give it some time, you see.

They continue walking and then someone caught Benny's eyes.

Benny: Mary?

Mary: Oh hey Benny, it's been awhile.

Benny: It...umm... yeah it has.

Mary: I'm sorry about your mother.

Benny: Thanks....

Mary: Well I would love to stay and chat, but I have stuff to do.

Benny: Oh ok, see you around.

Mary left and Virgo and Taurus walked up to Benny.

Virgo: Are you ok? You look like you've seen a ghost.

Benny: that is not right.

Virgo: what is?

Benny: We have to go back, now.

The three went back to the inn.

Taurus: Capricorn! When did you get here?

Capricorn: Just now, I was sent here by Cancer, and Scorpio told me what happened.

Scorpio notices Benny.

Scorpio: What's up with her?

Benny: I just saw someone who is suppose to be dead.

Virgo: That girl?

Benny: Yes.

Scorpio: What girl?

Benny: Her name is Mary. Awhile back she was pregnant and her husband was away in the military, she went into labor, and sadly she and her baby didn't survive.

Taurus: Are you sure? She didnt seem like a ghost to me?

Benny: I am positive, I was there and so was....

Scorpio: what?

Benny: No it can't be, everyone who knew she died has been murdered, the doctor, my mom and me.

Capricorn: Ok, I see what's going on. We have to find her immediately.

Virgo and Taurus, I need you to gather these supplies for me.

Capricorn hands them a list.

Scorpio: Her husband wouldn't be Joseph would it.

Benny: Yes, yes it is.

Capricorn: Quick take us to their house.

They quickly made their way to Mary and Joseph's home.

Scorpio knocks down the door.

Joseph: What are you doing?

Scorpio: where's tour wife?

Joseph: She's out, why are you here?

Taurus: listen, you're not safe here, you have to leave.

Joseph grabs his gun and points it at them.

Joseph: I'm not going anywhere with you guys.

Benny: Joseph, your wife did not survive child birth.

Joseph: What are you talking about?

Benny: She died, I was there, the doctor and my mother.

Joseph: Lies, I don't know what you want, I need you to leave.

There was a moment of silence, then Mary walks in the door.

Mary: oh my, we have visitors.

Scorpio grabbed his gun, but before he could pull the trigger, Joseph shot him.

Benny: Scorpio!

Mary: Well I guess the jig is up.

Benny: Why did you kill all those people?

Mary: I can't let my secret getting out.

Benny: And the people disappearing?

Mary: Oh they're dead too.

Benny: But they didn't know you that you died.

Mary: No, but I have to sacrifice souls in order to stay alive.

Taurus: Do you see Joseph, she is dead, and she's the one responsible for the killings.

Joseph: I... I...I already know.

Virgo: What?

Joseph: Yeah I've known for awhile now, who do think helps her?

Mary: I love you darling.

Joseph: I love you too... wait weren't their five of you?

While they were distracted Capricorn Virgo and Taurus where setting up a trap in the babies room.

Taurus spread black oil based paint infused with cedar, juniper, & sandlewood oils along a doorway.

Capricorn enchanted the doorway.

Capricorn: Who ever shall cross this sigil shall be reaped of their Immortal Soul, and shall be bound to this vessel. By the power of Azrael so Mote it Be!

Mary: The baby!

Mary rushed upstairs while Joseph stayed.

Joseph: wait, where's the guy I shot?

Scorpio appeared behind Joseph and knocked the gun out of his hands.

Scorpio: If you're going shoot, shoot to kill.

Benny: What about Mary?

Scorpio: don't worry they got it, I hope.

Mary went upstairs and saw Virgo holding the baby.

Capricorn: Now!

Virgo threw the baby towards the door and Mary ran to catch it, as they both crossed the doorway, their bodies disappear, sucking their souls into a jar that Taurus had prepared

They came downstairs holding the jar.

Scorpio: So what do we do with it now?

Virgo: I'll take it to a church and purify it, then release the souls.

Scorpio: and him?

Benny: Most likely he'll go to prison for his crimes.

Capricorn: I guess that's it.

Taurus: How did we not sense that she was a ghost?

Scorpio: probably because if the sacrifices, a soul for a mortal body, but who did she make the deal with?

After wrapping everything up Tye Zodiacs were getting ready to leave.

Scorpio: Hey Benny we're about to head out.

Benny: Oh ok, thanks again for everything.

Taurus: No problem, what do you plan on doing now?

Benny: Same thing as before, run this Inn.

Taurus: You know I heard Communicators skills are genetic, if your mother was one, you could be too.

Benny: maybe, but for now I think I'll just stay here.

Taurus: alright then.

When they arrived at the airport Scorpio started walking a different way.

Virgo: Where are you going? Our flight is over there.

Scorpio: Not mine, I'm taking a direct flight, first class. Later losers.

Virgo: That guy man.

Capricorn: Dont worry we'll see him at HQ.

Virgo: Who said I was worried.

Scorpio got on the plane and was already relaxing in his seat.

Capricorn: Hello there.

Scorpio: What are you doing here?

Virgo: Oh yeah we decided to change our flight too.

Taurus: First class is so comfortable, but how did you afford it.

Scorpio: Side jobs.

Capricorn: Oh like what?

Scorpio: You don't want to know.

Virgo: Are you taking jobs without HQ approval?

Scorpio: I don't need their approval.

Virgo: Don't you think you should share some of those jobs then?

Scorpio: Trust me, you cannot do what me, Aquarius and Aries do.

Taurus: Aries and Aquarius?

Scorpio: Yeah, you can ask them if you want. I'm going to sleep now.

Capricorn: interesting, I just might.
