Chapter 14
Stronger

âIt is your relationship youâre entering itâs none of my business,â
I started putting some caesar salad on my plate.
âLike you said Iâm going to be your Luna,â I put some Prosciutto, Monticello, and Soppressata on my
plate. âI want to know what you think,â
He let out a sharp breath. âI think he had a point that you shouldnât dress like that in front of other men.
Youâre his by the goddess,â
I chuckled and nodded. âYet he hasnât spoken to me. By all accounts, he feels the pull too but he
ignores me. I should give him the respect of a partner when he doesnât. Should I try the quail eggs?â
He nodded. âSomeone has to start it first. Quail eggs are an acquired taste, but the smoked salmon is
heavenly,â

âI agree I should give something to start, but this has happened quickly. Do you blame me for refusing
to give up my independence until Iâm on his land and have a duty to fulfill? Iâm in a bit of an inâ
between,â I looked over and gasped. âDo you think Ella would want some rotisserie pineapple?â.
He sighed and grabbed another plate picking up some of the fruit for his sister. âSo when you are in the
role you will give more?â
âItâs my duty. The goddess has designed for me to be his. I have no issue dressing with respect for my
partner, but only when he is my partner,â
âHmm. I can understand that,â
âI donât want to go to a new pack with any distrust between us. I know he trusts you as youâre one of his
warriors. I would like to have a good relationship with the people of the pack,â I finished by grabbing
bread rolls for myself.
âI am not good at seeing things from othersâ perspectives. Grayson and I have that in common,â
We headed back to the table and I set down my plate.
âI saved you some ham,â Ella placed a large slab in front of me.
The food was magnificent, I had never eaten such wellâprepared food in my life. Round after round of
deliciously seasoned meat that had been smoked, marinated, grilled, and cooked to perfection.
The best part was enjoying a conversation with my new people. Grayson actually laughed only once at
Mattâs comment
but he did. He talked to me here and there suggesting food mainly. He helped me flag down the server
with the snow crab. He had said I wasnât eating enough so he put a slab of steak on my plate. I glowed
with the attention he gave.
âOh, my goddess. I am so stuffed Iâm pretty sure they could sell me,â Ella huffed, patting her tummy.
âThe chicken legs were the best,â Matt said.
âI have a love for crab so that was my favorite,â I smiled at my plate and handed it to the server.
âAgreed,â Grayson spoke and signed for the check. âLetâs go sleep,â
I suddenly realized there were only four rooms. My heart lept into my throat.
Was I going to sleep next to him tonight? My heart sang at the thought of sleeping on his chest laying
in his scent all night so it hung on me. Waking up in his arms.
I gladly and serenely walked to the elevator humming in my head excited to be alone with him and
have time together. Grayson opened the door to our suite and I almost skipped inside. We walked up to
our room and my face must have been radiating.
âIâll take the couch good night Annette,â
Of course
