Chapter 11
REGINA MILES- A BILLIONAIRE STORY ( Thomas Miles )
Chapter Eleven Thanksgiving Sunday
âWhy did he bring her here?â I whispered to Angela, who sat just beside me.
âshe clearly has no shame.â
Thomas cleared out his throat drawing our attention towards him. Earlier that day, I had called back the chefs and housekeepers to prepare varieties of meals and keep the house in order as it was Thanksgiving Sunday. Since Angela was in town, I had invited her.
needed a confidant because I knew quite well the amount of drama that would unfold, and I wasnât wrong.
âI want to especially thank my sister, Beatrice, for coming all the way from Belgium for this Thanksgiving dinner for all of you who have found time to come.
before we begin eating, Iâll like to say a few things.
Thomas and his many words.
âFor the past few weeks, I have been neck deep in campaigns and meetings because, as you all know, Iâm contesting for the mayorâs position, and with the way things are going, I think actually got this as I do not have a rival that could stand a chance â
Oh, tell me about it. Wait until I drop the bomb
âI want to especially appreciate Catherine for all her work pulling this through.â
âCatherine?!â I shouted and everyone turned towards me. I could not hold it back as his words hit me. In fact, he intended to attribute everything to his whore after utilizing me to accomplish it.
âLike I was saying, I would not let anyone down when I got hold of this position, and so your utmost support would be appreciated.â
They applauded faintly, and Catherine stared at me with a smirk.
âWith that being said, letâs eat â
But before we took on the first bite, the door swung open, and Jayden walked in. In his hand were the
hands of his lover, .
âJayden, Iâm glad you could make it.â
Thomas did not raise his head as he began to eat.
âJayden, you look so different, I could hardly recognize you,â Beatrice said.
âHey everyone, is Sam, my boyfriend.â
Everyone in their thoughts said nothing after that. I could feel the tension in Jaydenâs face, and his sweaty hands shook. Somehow I felt bad for pushing him to come, but this was his family and they should know who he really was. I placed mine on , looking up to him.
âItâs okay. I love you the way you are.â
Ca Thaken Sunday
âSo what are you now? A female?â Beatrice asked, but Jayden only looked at me.
âAnswer her.â Thomas persuaded.
âLook guys, Jayden is gay, you all donât have to make it seem weird.â I said.
âI
have seen other gays; at least they did not have to Implant some silicon in their chest. Whatâs your name, young man?â He asked Sam.
âItâs Sam.â
âSam, huh, tell me, how do you suck on those?â
Catherine muffled her giggles as his question cracked her up, and soon Beatrice Joined her.
âSuck on what?
âThe newly implanted silicon breast.â
â1. Uhmm..â He stuttered, clearing out his throat.
âI guess so.â
âThomas, Jayden is still our son, no matter what.â
âI have no son,â Thomas said.
As those words left his lips, I watched as tears rushed down his cheeks. My little boy has been hurt by the same man who hurt me, and I am still as helpless I have been. I couldnât save myself. How would I save him? Jayden, without saying another word, jumped off his seat as he moved out of the
table.
âJayden!â I called out to .
âMom, It is clear that I am not needed here. And I cannot be in a place where I am not wanted. I have a good life with Sam out there. Mom, you can sit there and wallow in selfâpity while this man ruins your life.â
âJayden, donât say that. He is still your father.â
âBut I his son; how fair is that? Look, Mom, I donât know why you still fight for this when you clearly know that he does deserve you. And itâs Joyce now. Sam, letâs get the hell out of here; this was a mistake.â He walked out, slamming the door behind him.
I was stunned by his wordsâthe same thing that Evans had said to me. And just then, it occurred to me. I didnât even know why I was still there, having dinner with people I couldnât even call family
anymore.
âI hope you are happy now, Thomas. You chased your own child away, but you brought this stranger to our table. How cruel.â
Î
âYou would not tell me who I would bring to our dining table.â

âYou know what? Iâm done with this pretense.â I dropped the cutlery and got on my feet, looking above the heads of everyone seated on the table.
âI have something to say to everyone,â I said, looking at Angela as she nodded in affirmation. It was time to let the cat out of the bag.
âThomas, I would not support you for this campaign anymore. I need a divorce.
âThatâs some silly talk, woman. You cannot need a divorce at this time that Thomas is on the verge of attaining something this important for the family.â
âBeatrice, you know nothing about whatâs been happening, so you stay out of this.â
âNo, I wonât. Thomas was right all along.â
âWhat do you mean by ?â
âEverything he said about you is true.â
âAre you fucking kidding me right now? Thomas, you have been talking about me to your family behind my back. Well, did he tell you he brings this woman to our home and fucks her on our matrimonial bed?â
âAnd you havenât cheated on him as well?â Tears gathered in my eyes. Thomas was always steps. ahead, and I never saw it coming, but this time had gone steps forward, and I was sure that he did not see coming as well.
âWell done.â
done, Thomas. You are always steps ahead. I can play this , you know; that is why I am getting my lawyer involved in this case. We would be getting separation.â
âDo all you wish, Regina. You do not scare me. I am going to become the next mayor and you know that. When I do, you can get your divorce, and I will be finally free from you.
âThatâs such a good plan. But what if you somehow have a rival that has all the capacity to beat you in
this?â
âWhat do you mean by that?â
âWell, I asked a question, and from your facial expression, you do not have an answer to that. Let me let you know that I am that rival that would defeat you and make a loser.â
What?â
âYes, Thomas, I am running for the mayorâs position.â
Thomas burst into wild laughter they joined him in it.
âI knew you were many things, Regina, but certainly not a joker. How can you possibly run for mayor? You wouldnât even pass the first line of screening.â In that instant, Catherineâs phone beeped, and a wide gaze as she stared at it.
âWhat is it, Catherine?â Thomas .
