Chapter 31

Epilogue

His Sex Kitten

Kyle was over the moon when they found out she was expecting twins. It made sense of her constant fatigue.

Once they were alone, she began to cry. He wrapped his arms around her, puzzled. He’d thought she’d be ecstatic.

“Sweetheart, aren’t you happy about the twins?”

“It’s not that. These are tears of joy. I wanted more than one child, but I didn’t expect two at once. My life is so wonderful. I have you and now two babies.

“I grew up fending for myself, never experiencing a mother’s love. Our kids will be loved and cared for, and the best part is they’ll have a sibling to grow up with.”

She wrapped her arms around his neck. “I love you so much.”

Since she was hungry, he took her out for lunch. Later, when they got home, she took a nap.

He decided to call Judy and share the good news. She was absolutely delighted and couldn’t contain her excitement.

“Twins! Now you make sure she gets plenty of rest, and don’t let her do too much housework. Hire someone to do it, and I’ll come over in a few days with some baby books.

“You’re going to need to start buying cribs and everything they’ll need. I have to call Roy and tell him the good news,” she said before hanging up.

The following week, he suggested a short drive, saying he had something to show her. She tried to get him to spill the beans, but he insisted it was a surprise.

After a twenty-minute drive, he pulled up in front of a house with a For Sale sign.

She turned to look out the window at the house. “Why are we here?”

He unbuckled his seatbelt and, leaning over, put his arm around her shoulders.

“Ever since we found out you were having twins, I’ve been thinking. We need a proper home to raise our kids, not a hotel.

“I remember that first night we had dinner at my sister’s place and you said you’d love to live in a house like that someday.”

“You remember me saying that?”

“I always listen when you talk. I started looking through the real estate listings and found this property.

“It has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a large kitchen and dining room, a huge living room with a fireplace, an office, and there’s even a spare room on the main floor that can be used as a playroom for the kids.

“Oh, and there’s a great backyard too. I thought we could go in and take a look.”

“But it looks so expensive.”

“Baby, don’t worry about it. You know we can afford it. So, what do you say? Want to go in and take a look?”

She couldn’t stop smiling. “Yes, since we’re here, we might as well.”

They both fell in love with it the moment they walked through the front door, and even more so as they explored each room.

Standing in the master bedroom after checking out the ensuite, he pulled her into his arms.

“I can see us making love in this room every night. But if you want to keep looking at other houses, we can. But I really think this is the perfect house for us.”

“I love it,” she said, shedding more tears. “I don’t need to see any more houses. This one feels like home to me.”

She threw her arms around him. Her lips found his, and she gave him a long, passionate kiss.

That night his family came over for dinner. Judy had made Chrissy’s favorite meal, spaghetti, and chocolate cake for dessert.

That night they told them about the house Kyle was buying and that they would be moving into it a month from today.

After dinner, the guys chatted, Chrissy played with her new toy that Kyle had bought her, and the women went through the baby books, picking out everything for the babies.

The guys took their beers into the kitchen and sat down to talk.

“Wow, twins,” Roy said, smiling as he shook his head. “That’s going to be a handful. There goes your sex life.”

“What are you talking about?”

“All I’m saying is that when a woman has a baby, with the overnight feedings, she’s going to be too tired to have sex.

“I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like having twins. Be prepared to take lots of cold showers.”

“No, it won’t be like that with us.” He hadn’t given her being too tired for sex after the baby was born any thought until now.

Then he smiled at Roy. “I’m not worried. She likes it as much as I do, and I’ll be riding her plenty.”

“Riding who?” Judy’s voice boomed out as she walked over to them.

“Nothing. We were just joking around,” he said, winking at his sister.

“I just bet you were,” she answered, giving him a playful smack on the head before looking at Roy. “Chrissy’s asleep, so we better go home now. You’ll have to carry her.”

That night in bed, they went through books, picking out furniture for their new home. He wanted to have everything bought and placed before they moved in.

With her carrying twins and being tired, he wanted to lighten her load. All she had to do was choose what she liked, and he would take care of the rest.

What Roy had said was weighing on his mind, so he thought he would bring it up.

“So, Roy was telling me that after Judy had Chrissy, she was always tired. With the night feedings and taking care of her, their sex life suffered for a long time.”

She looked up at him and smiled. “So you think with us having twins I might not want you anymore.”

“I know for the first while you’ll be too tired.”

He sat up to look her in the eyes.

“I’m just saying I find you so hot, and I won’t rush you into it until you’re ready, no matter how long it takes. It’s not going to be easy, because I want you all the time.”

She pushed him down and got on top of him, smiling.

“Don’t worry about a thing. I’m crazy about your manhood, and I’ll be craving it constantly. Maybe not in the first few weeks, but after that, you better brace yourself.

“Rest up, because you’re going to need all the energy you can get,” she teased, leaning in to plant a kiss on his lips.

A month later, they moved into their new home. Kyle’s family came over, bearing dinner, a housewarming gift, and some items for the babies.

Chrissy was a whirlwind, darting from room to room, exploring. The cribs had arrived, and the men assembled them while the women chatted and warmed up the meal.

“Kiera looks so happy. She adores this house, Kyle. You did well. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention: she won’t have to testify against Charlie.

“We have enough evidence against him, along with the written statement she gave earlier. Since she had no clue about his involvement, there’s no need for her to face him in court.

“It’s all over. Now you both can relax and start your new life.”

“That’s a relief. I didn’t want her to go through that stress, especially not in her condition.”

Before Judy and Roy left for the night, Kiera decided she wasn’t happy with the furniture arrangement in the living room.

After several rearrangements, the men sighed in relief when she finally seemed satisfied.

“Wait, I think the sofa should be over there.” She pointed. “The chair would look better by the fireplace.”

Kyle was drenched in sweat and his patience was wearing thin. “Babe, this is the fourth time we’ve moved the furniture. It’s fine where it is.”

Tears welled up in her eyes. This was the first time he had spoken so harshly to her. She turned and walked away, retreating into the kitchen.

She heard someone enter and recognized his scent, and she started to sniffle.

“I’m sorry for being such a pain.”

He felt awful for snapping at her. He went over and wrapped his arms around her.

“No, I’m the one who should apologize. I shouldn’t have snapped at you. Come on, let’s go move the furniture,” he said, planting a kiss on her cheek.

When they returned to the living room, they found that Roy and Judy had already moved the furniture. “Kiera was right. It does look better here,” Judy said, grinning at them.

That night, as they climbed into bed, she snuggled up to him.

“Our first night in our new home. I think we should christen the bed,” she suggested, her hand wandering down to his crotch. “Unless you’re not in the mood to make love to a pregnant woman.”

He pushed her down and climbed on top. “What do you think?” he asked, his lips meeting hers.

Kiera was eight months pregnant when she went into labor, waking him up in the middle of the night.

They knew it was common for a woman to give birth a month early, especially with twins, so they weren’t overly worried.

He called his sister when they arrived at the hospital, before Kiera was taken into the delivery room. “This is it, sweetheart. It won’t be long now. I want you to know how much I love you.”

She squeezed his hand. “I love you too, and you’ve made me so happy. You’re going to be a great dad.”

“Do you really think so?”

“I’ve seen you with Chrissy, how you treat her, how much you love her. If you can be that way with your niece, just imagine how you’ll be with your own children.”

Judy and Roy arrived. They hugged and kissed Kiera. “Soon you’ll be holding those precious babies in your arms,” Judy said, moving over to give Kyle a hug.

They chatted for over an hour, admiring the outfits Judy had brought for the babies. Then Kiera gripped Kyle’s hand.

“You better call the doctor. It’s time.”

They were taken into the delivery room, and in just a few short hours, she gave birth to two baby boys, both small, weighing under six pounds, and with a full head of hair.

“Oh my, they are so beautiful,” Judy gushed when they were allowed to see Kiera and the babies. “What are their names?”

“The one with the dark hair is Simon. The blond is Shawn,” both Kyle and Kiera said simultaneously.

“They’re so tiny. Chrissy can’t wait to meet her cousins,” Roy said, looking down at the sleeping babies.

Seven weeks later, Judy and Chrissy came over to visit Kiera and the twins. Chrissy adored her cousins. She sat by their cribs, reading a story to them while her mother and aunt chatted.

“Is everything okay?” Judy asked Kiera, noticing her sad expression.

“It’s Kyle. He hasn’t tried to touch me since before the twins were born. I think he feels it’s too soon. But Judy, I’m more than ready. What should I do?”

“Here’s an idea. Go upstairs, strip down, and put on a coat. Then go surprise him at work. Show that man you’re more than ready. Chrissy and I will watch the twins.”

“Are you sure?” Kiera asked, feeling a bit shy about Judy’s suggestion.

“Yes. Now get going.”

Kiera took a cab to the hotel and went looking for Kyle. She was told he was in his office.

When he saw her, he stood up. “This is a nice surprise, but where are the babies?”

“Judy’s watching them.” She locked the door and saw the confusion on his face. “I’ve waited long enough for you to make the first move, so I will.”

She dropped her coat, revealing her naked body.

His eyes widened as he took in her naked form from head to toe and back again.

“Holy shit, you have no idea how much I’ve been wanting you,” he said, stripping off his clothes and pulling her into his arms for a passionate kiss.

He guided her back to the couch, gently easing her down. The persistent ring of the phone was drowned out by their shared passion as they kissed and explored each other for a solid twenty minutes.

His kiss swallowed her cries as he began to move within her, leading them both to a much-needed climax.

She traced her fingers down his back. “Kyle, that was incredible. We should’ve done this sooner.”

“Honey, I didn’t want to wait either, but I wasn’t sure if you were ready.”

“I’m more than ready.”

His smile met hers as he leaned in for another kiss. “That’s pretty obvious now. I love you so much,” he murmured, making love to her once more before they had to return home.

***

In a nutshell, once the twins began school, Kiera joined Kyle at work. He made her an equal partner in the business. They didn’t have any more kids, but it wasn’t for lack of trying.

Their love for each other remained deep and their passion only intensified. She continued to show him affection, snuggling into him like a cozy little kitten.
