Chapter 13
Marry A Hidden Billionaire By Rosalind Stevenson
Chapter 13
Chapter 13
âRachel, letâs have our father and the others pray at the church tomorrow and seek the Almightyâs blessings,â Emma said. She could not help but remind Rachel. âMay the Almighty ensures that Alice doesnât dump Daniel.â
Lexi nodded too. She said, âLetâs first remember her in our prayer. Our family is beholden to her.â
Unbeknownst to Alice, the four elder sisters of Daniel were planning something behind the scenes. She and Daniel walked into the marriage registration office and started submitting their documents.
As they were preparing for their wedding photoshoot, Daniel suddenly paused and coldly reminded, âMiss Doyle, think it through. Once we obtain the marriage license, you will be responsible for caring for my three sons and my entire familyâ¦â He highly doubted that Alice would still be determined to marry him after seeing his four sisters dressed in ragged clothes. âDaniel, I told you yesterday that I really need to have our marriage license,â Alice said. âSo, I wonât go back on my word. âAs for your familyâ¦
They are lovely, and I quite like them. If youâre concerned about their financial situation in the futureâ¦
âI have an allowance card. You can keep it and withdraw a monthly amount for your family as you see fit. I wonât ask.â
She considered it as a payment for the help she received from Daniel in dealing with Travis.
Besides, giving Daniel a little more pocket money would also ensure a better quality of life for the children.
Upon hearing her words, Daniel was left speechless for a long while.
This was because he had never been given pocket money by a woman before.
Meanwhile, the staff responsible for taking wedding photos would occasionally shake their heads while looking at Daniel.
That clearly showed that they were expressing their disapproval about him living off a womanâs money.
Coco came over to supervise. Even if Daniel wanted to shake his head and back out, he could not withstand the threat from his children.
After the marriage license was issued, Coco took away Danielâs copy and said to Alice, âMiss Alice, when youâre done looking at your marriage license, you have to give it to me for safekeeping, okay?â
Alice did not think much of it. She nodded with a smile and said, âSure.â
However, Daniel furrowed his brow slightly. âThis kiddo is so afraid of me changing my mind,â he thought. âHe even insists on personally keeping the marriage license.â
After Daniel and Alice walked out of City Hall, Rachel, and her three sisters surrounded them.
âCongratulations,â Rachel said. âLetâs have lunch together. It is on me.â Rachel was eager to make a good impression on her sister-in-law.
However, Daniel became a wet blanket and said, âIâm busy with work, so itâs not convenient for me.â
âAm I talking to you?â Rachel said, instantly looking extremely displeased. âDonât interrupt as you please.â
Even though Daniel knew what his sisters were thinking, he still asked, âAre you all not working?â
âIs work more important than Alice?â Lexi said. She could not help but roll her eyes at her younger brother.
âHe has just married Alice,â they thought. âInstead of taking his wife out, heâs talking about work!â
They were infuriated.
âIf it werenât for the blessings from Heavenly Father, would he have been able to encounter such a good wife like Alice?â they thought.
Seeing Danielâs sisters were about to quarrel with him, Alice quickly said, âUm, letâs not get angry. We can always have a meal together at a later time.
âBenny will be discharged from the hospital in a few daysâ time. Iâll buy some ingredients, and everybody can come to my place for a seafood buffet. We can celebrate together. How does that sound?â
Upon hearing Aliceâs words, the four sisters felt a sense of comfort. Aliceâs words were more effective in bringing them pleasure than the worldâs most expensive ice cream.
Even their gaze as they looked at Daniel became gentler.
âLook, your wife is so lovely.â
âDaniel, if you dare to mistreat Alice in the future, Iâll break your legs!â
âQuick, hug your wife. Show some appreciation!â

Daniel looked indifferent. âMy sisters are still very naive,â he thought. âThey canât assess peopleâs character accurately.
âThey are easily won over by Alice, but there will come a day when they regret it big time.â
Suddenly, a cell phone started ringing.
