Chapter 332
Marry A Hidden Billionaire By Rosalind Stevenson
Sabrina chimed in right after, âExactly, Alice. This ad project was intended to give priority to my cousinâs celebs.
âYouâre from a different company. Itâs not appropriate for you to take this project. If you step back now, itâll be better for everyone. Iâll assist you.â
Alice observed them calmly. The same person who had once given her the cold shoulder was now acting as though she cared about her well-being.
Aliceâs smile turned icy, and she countered, âMiss Clark, unless Iâm mistaken, Mr. Millerâs ad projects havenât always been exclusively for his celebs.
âFurthermore, Mr. Miller brought me in to discuss the ad, indicating heâs looking for a celeb of my type.
You and Cindera might be beautiful, but when it comes to appearance and demeanor, you arenât suitable for the Blue Enchantress ad.
âAs Mr. Millerâs cousin, your priority should be his interests, not your personal preferences.â
She knew they coveted the Blue Enchantress ad, but Brian had chosen her this time, and she was determined to secure it.
If she backed down due to Sabrinaâs manipulations and threats, it would be like admitting defeat.
Backing down wasnât her style.
Sabrina furrowed her brows; Aliceâs words left her puzzled.
If she insisted on having Lenaâs candidate take the Blue Enchantress role, it would almost be mocking Brianâs project.
It might even lead Brian to misinterpret her intentions.
Cindera, who was standing on the side, overheard this and immediately crossed her arms in indignation. âAlice, whatâs your angle? You think taking this ad means Mr. Miller will be in the red?
âYouâre quite the mastermind, always causing chaos and stirring up trouble! Youâ¦
As Cinderaâs words grew more disrespectful, Brianâs expression turned even colder. He interrupted her directly, âWhat exactly do you want?â
âMe?â When Brian addressed her, Cindera thought she might have a chance. She glanced at Lena briefly before Brianâs voice cut in again.
âStarting now, your work is suspended. Take a break for now.â
Cindera widened her eyes, disbelief and protest escaping in a shrill outcry, âYou, youâre stopping me from working? Mr. Miller, why? Is it because of what I said about her?â
Cindera believed that was the reason, to the point where she even despised Alice. âMr. Miller, are you bewitched by her? Are you really backing that cun ning woman?
âWeâve got plenty of women at our company who are better than Alice. Havenât you found anyone else appealing? Why does it have to be Alice?â
She was furious, truly furious.
Brianâs patience had worn thin, âIf you want to get fired, just say so! I wonât tolerate a troublemaker on my team!â
âWhy am I suddenly a troublemaker? Iâm just upset. Mr. Miller, which one of us has a bad reputation?
And if you use me, wouldnât that be cheaper than using her?
âAlice doesnât bring much to the table except her looks. Why are you shielding her? Why are you taking her side? Do you actually have feelings for her?â
âIdiot!â Brian was seething. He rubbed his temples and looked directly at Lena. âPut her on a break. I donât waner.â
âI donât want to be put on a break! I havenât done anything wrong, so why are you sidelining me?â
Cindera cried as she said, clutching Lenaâs arm.
âLena, please help me. I canât be sidelined. What are you going to do if Iâm sidelined?â
Lena was reaching her limit of frustration. Cindera truly proved herself to be a total fool. Going after Alice shouldâve been sufficient; why was she persistently questioning Brian?
Brian was their boss. Even if he held a soft spot for Alice, discussing it openly was out of the question.
Now Cindera was digging herself into a hole and expecting Lena to shield her. Only an im becile would tolerate such a foolish woman.
At this juncture, Lena had no patience left to educate Cindera.
And Brian had zero interest in dealing with someone as foolish as Cindera.
He required those who could rake in profits for the company and possessed a firm grasp on realityâ
definitely not someone who would challenge him and be weaponized against others.
Noticing that Lena wouldnât back her up, Cindera realized she was in a tight spot. She had no choice but to cling to Sabrinaâs arm, as though grasping for a lifeline.
âMiss Clark, please help me. You said youâd help us. Please save me quickly. As long as you save me, Iâll do anything.â
Seeing Cindera clinging to Sabrina, Lena felt the urge to give her a good smack.
This foolish woman shouldnât be revealing their entire hand like this.
Of course, Sabrina wouldnât be offering Cindera any more assistance at this point. She discreetly looked at Brian and sighed, âCindera, thereâs nothing I can do for you. If you need help, you should turn to Alice. After all, you started this by insulting her.â
This was a hint for Cindera to direct her anger at Alice. If she sought trouble, she should look for it with Alice.
She shouldnât keep pestering Sabrina for help, as she wasnât in a position to provide any.
Sure enough, upon hearing Sabrinaâs words, Cindera completely lost control and erupted. She pointed at Aliceâs face and shouted, âAlice, you wicked woman! Itâs all because of you! I despise you to the core! Let me tell you, if being sidelined pushes me to the edge, Iâll drag you down with me!â
Seeing this foolish pawn being manipulated, Alice couldnât be bothered to give her the time of day.
Meanwhile, Alan sneered, âYou want to take on my girl? Alright then, give it a shot. If I let you mess with her, Iâm not worthy of being the King of Entertainment!â
Brian realized the situation had spiraled out of control. It was getting ugly, and he didnât want Cindera to keep making everyone uncomfortable. He signaled for security to step in and remove Cindera.
Then, his gaze turned icy as he fixed his eyes on Lena, âIf you and your team stir up more chaos like this next time, it wonât just be your celeb who ends up on the sidelines. Clear?â
Lena was taken aback and quickly nodded, saying, âMr. Miller, donât worry, I⦠I understand, completely!â
Afterward, she shot Alice a sneaky glare.
Today, Lenaâs resentment toward Alice had been solidified entirely.
Once Lena had left, Brian redirected his attention to Sabrina. âGot more business?â
Clearly, he wasnât feeling up for a conversation with Sabrina.
Seeing Brianâs blatant lack of interest, Sabrina bit her lip, inhaled deeply, and then chimed in. âNothing.
You can go ahead with your plans!â
With those other women out of the picture, Brianâs gaze swung back to Alice. She maintained an aura of calm, seemingly untouched by the chaos. This only increased Brianâs admiration for her.
âAlice, can you make it for the shoot tomorrow?â
Alice nodded. âNo problem.â
âPerfect. Come by the office tomorrow, and weâll head to the shoot location together. Iâll iron out the contract details with your agent,â Brian explained.
âSounds good.â
As Alice was about to take her leave, Brian seemed to recall something and raised his hand. âAlice, hold on a m
