Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 1015
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Crystalâs POV:
As I looked at Berylâs innocent but mischievous eyes, I knew that she had hoodwinked Laura.
My little girl had probably noticed something off with Laura. She only pretended to cooperate and see what Laura was up to.
This was how Beryl operated at home too. She would often pretend to be obedient so she could secretly tag along with me. As soon as I left, she would secretly follow me.
She was certainly clingy.
She had done the same thing this time as well. She knew that I was coming to the capital city, but pretended to be ignorant. Afterward, she sneaked into the capital city with Arron.
I had thought that this part of her nature would be subdued after losing her memory, but she was still very smart and impish.
I bent over to ruffle her disheveled hair and helplessly said, âWe have some important work. If youâre willing to be a good girl, we will take you along with us.â
âOf course, I will. But first, you have to tell me what your important work is,â she demanded, watching me with her big eyes.
I was at a loss for words, but did my best to explain our plan honestly. âIâm going to leave the capital city and return to the border pack.â
Beryl tilted her head to one side and asked, âIs it far away?â
âYes, itâs pretty far away.â
âThen I wonât come with you. I donât want to leave Daddy,â Beryl shook her head and said firmly.
My heart sank. I had mentally prepared myself for the eventuality that Beryl might not be willing to leave with me, but hearing her refusal from her mouth still made me a little sad.
âBut Mommy is going to the border pack and wonât stay in the capital city anymore. Donât you want to come with me? There is a wild wolf that grew up with you over there. Heâs very cute.â I was doing my best to convince Beryl to leave with me, but she remained steadfast in her refusal.
âBut I donât remember all of that. I only remember Daddy now. He is so kind to me. If I leave, he will be very sad.â Beryl pouted, looking a little downcast.
âThen are you okay with leaving Mommy?â I studied her with misty eyes, my heart clenching painfully.
âOf course not. So donât leave, Mommy. Please just stay here! This city is so huge, and we still havenât visited so many places! Mommy, please stay with me.â Beryl eyed me innocently.
âBut Daddy will have a new family in the future, and a newâ¦â I couldnât finish my sentence.
I didnât know how to explain the whole thing to her. The adult world was too complicated for a child to understand.
Even if she could get it, I didnât want to burden her with my sadness.
âMommy, I know what you were going to say. But I wonât listen to you because I believe he is my Daddy. Just like I believe you are my Mommy. And I trust that Daddy wonât stop loving me just because he will have a new baby.â Berylâs instinct was spot on. Perhaps it was her stubbornness that made her wish come true.
I was despondent. Beryl had already made up her mind. If I continued to push her, she might rebel against me. I had to approach this another way.
âBut Mommy really has to leave the capital city. I still have a lot of pending matters to deal with at the border pack,â I said in a sad voice, clutching Berylâs small hand and kissing it.
Her eyes filled up with tears as well. She stepped forward and threw her arms around me, saying, âCan you stay here, please? Let someone else handle the pending matters. I donât want you to go. Please just stay in the capital city, okay? I want Daddy and Mommy to live together forever. And Arron also wants a Daddy. Iâm willing to share mine with him.â
