Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 1017
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Crystalâs POV:
âWhatâre you all doing here?â I looked at them in surprise, but I couldnât suppress how happy I felt. We hadnât gathered together like this in a very long time⦠âItâs a pity that we werenât able to say goodbye to you five years ago. So all of us had to come to see you off this time around!â Flora walked over with a bright smile and held my hand.
âYeah! Five years ago, you just took off without saying goodbye! We even misunderstood you!â Harry yelled huffily.
âOh, Harry, I remember Joanna telling me that you cried so hard that your snot was all over the place.â Flora made a face at Harry, sticking her tongue out at him.
Harry snorted indignantly. âMe? What about you? I still remember that on your wedding day, your veil was blown away by the wind!â
âHow is that embarrassing? Anyway, itâs not as bad as someone who insisted on playing the sax at my wedding!â Flora shot him a murderous glare.
âWhy? Isnât it great to have live music at weddings?â I asked, curious to hear the whole story.
âBah! Youâre lucky you werenât there. Harry had a stomachache that day, so he didnât have the strength to play the sax. As soon as he blew into it, the sound that came out was like farting.â
âOh, shut up, Flora! Enough of your nonsense!â
Harry was so embarrassed that he wanted to cover Floraâs mouth, but Warren didnât let him come close. Flora sought refuge in Warrenâs arms and stuck her tongue out at Harry complacently.
Harry was so angry that his veins popped out on his forehead. He didnât calm down until Joanna comforted him in a soothing voice.
I shook my head helplessly. I couldnât believe that these guys were still the same after so many years.
Just then, Arron gobbled up the last of his dessert. He wiped his mouth and ran over to hug my leg. âWhatâre you fighting about, Mommy?â
I chuckled and explained, âTheyâre just hungry, Arron. Please get them some snacks.â
Arron nodded obediently and scurried away to do as I said.
I sat Beryl on the sofa and dressed her in thick clothes. âAre you really going to do this?â Flora leaned over to have a look.
I nodded helplessly. âYeah. Beryl really didnât want to go with me. I had no choiceâ¦â
âOh, by the way, weâve all agreed to visit you at the border pack someday,â Harry suddenly said.
âDonât worry. Weâll go there in disguises,â Flora added for good measure.
Even Warren chimed in. âIn fact, the border isnât that far. As soon as Rufus lets his guard down, weâll be able to visit you.â
âYeah. A plane ride will only take an hour at mostâ maybe even less,â Joanna calculated.
I couldnât help but smile and felt warm in my heart. The people before me were such good friends.
Thanks to their comfort, saying goodbye wasnât necessarily a bad thing. Everyone was looking to the future and discussing our next gathering.
âBy the way, that bagâs full of our gifts for the twins. Donât forget.â Flora pointed at a sack on the sofa.
The sack was filled to the brim and bursting at the seams, just like a stocking on Christmas Eve.
Looking at such a big bag, I felt a little helpless. âI canât carry that. I have two children and our luggage to take care of.â
âDonât worry. Weâve arranged everything. Iâll disguise myself as a guard to help you take them later. Weâll go through the back door. Iâve already mapped out the route. No one will see us. A car will take you to the airport, where you can take the earliest flight to the neighboring city. Someone will drive you back to the border from there.â
After saying this, Warren looked at his watch and said, âItâs time. We canât delay any longer. It wonât be easy to sneak out if the guards change shifts.â
