Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 1025
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Crystalâs POV:
Despite being berated by me, Rufus didnât get angry. On the contrary, he picked up the report from the ground, patted off the imaginary dust, and handed it to me again, saying, âDonât be angry. Look over the evidence first and then argue.â
I pursed my lips tightly. Eyeing the piece of paper in his hand, finally, I took it and looked through it.
The first time I read it, I laughed out of anger. The armory it mentioned was the one Geoffrey used, which was found by Leonard five years ago. But it was emptied out thanks to Rufus and Leonard at the time. All of its contents were transported back to the capital city.
And now, the armory was mysteriously filled up with weapons again. The only person who could make such a big move could only be the one in front of me.
I didnât know how Rufus managed to find this place what with his lost memories. I also didnât know how he managed to fill up this abandoned armory without being noticed.
Was he just pretending to have lost his memory? No, that was impossible. If he was pretending, he wouldâve done something far worse than restricting my travel freedom.
Which meant he had only one purpose: to frame me!
The way he framed me was so damn good that I nearly went crazy from sheer rage. I directly ripped the report to pieces.
âAre you mad because Iâve found your secret?â Rufus feigned a shocked expression.
I couldnât help but grab him by the collar, hissing fiercely, âDonât think that I wonât do anything to you just because youâre the lycan king!â
âOh? What exactly do you plan on doing to me?â Rufus raised his eyebrows and asked sarcastically.
Indeed, my threat was nothing to him.
Rufus unhurriedly pried my fingers off his collar. âI told you that some things canât be explained clearly with just a few words. Just like this armoryâI doubt you were able to fill it up in just a few days. Maybe it took you a few years? Or maybe youâve been planning it since you became an Alpha.â
âYou donât know what youâre talking about. I believe you know better than I do what actually went on in that armory!â I clenched my fists so tightly that my fingernails dug into my palms.
Rufus, on the other hand, seemed to be having the time of his life. âYouâre the one who managed the border pack the past five years. Why are you asking me?â
âYouâ!â His shamelessness pissed me off so much. I shouldâve known that Rufus was not someone who could be fooled so easily. From the moment he started to pay attention to me, I was destined to become his target. But I didnât expect that he would actually set a trap for me! âCalm down. The travel restriction was meant to offer you a chance.â Rufus straightened his collar leisurely.
I sneered, âWhat chance? You? Kind enough to offer me a chance? I doubt that.â
Rufus smiled gently. âA chance for you to explain. As long as you can explain why thereâs a fully loaded armory at the border, Iâll let you go.â
I was so pissed off that I couldnât even think straight.
How could I explain something that he had clearly set up? And he knew what he had done. If I tried to come up with an explanation, wouldnât I just look like a fool to him? I laughed bitterly. âYou Majesty, youâre so patient. Youâve obviously been planning this trap for me for a long time. In that case, I have nothing to explain. Those things in the armory are invaluable. Anyone knows whatâs going on.â
I was feeling lucky that we made it out of the imperial palace last night. I thought our trip to the border would be smooth sailing. It turned out that I was terribly wrong and he had been waiting for me here the whole time.
