Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 1107
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Crystalâs POV:
After watching Adelaâs poor acting, I asked sarcastically, âAre you implying that I pushed you into the water? Why in the world would I do that?â âBecause you know that I canât swim! You want to kill me, donât you?â Adela forced a shiver as her clothes clung to her b*ody. I had to admit, she was quite attractive by most standards. It was too bad that she just had to make herself look like a fool.
What an absolute idiot.
âWhy would I, an Alpha, sully my hands by trying to kill a noble lady in broad daylight? I would have to be out of my mind to do that, and you must be crazy for suggesting such a thing.â I openly scoffed at Adela, lamenting the time I had wasted so far on arguing with this stubborn blockhead.
Adela let loose another stream of tears. âAdmit it, youâre jealous of me because Iâm the lycan kingâs mate!â She then whirled around at the guards. âWhat are you waiting for? Apprehend this she- wolf and report to the king that she tried to murder the future queen!â
The guards shuffled their feet and cast nervous glances at me. âThat might not be a good idea,â one of them spoke up. âShe is the Alpha of the border pack. We dare not offend her.â
Adela ch*oked on a sob. Clearly, it wasnât the response she was hoping for. Her face turned a brighter shade of red, and more tears spilled from her eyes. âSo, what if she is an Alpha? I am the future lycan queen, the one who saved your king! Are you sure you donât want to heed my order?â
Even the servants looked torn at this point. âMiss Castillo, we have the utmost respect for you, howeverâ¦â
âEnough, just go and fetch the king,â I interrupted with a sigh. I didnât have the patience or the energy to drag this fiasco any longer. Rufus might as well join the circus.
Still, the servant who had just spoken hesitated. âAlpha Crystal, are you certain you want us to call the king over? I donât think we have to bother the king with such a trifle.â
âIt is not a trifle!â Adela shrieked. âIt is only right to inform the king that his future queen was bullied!â She ended her outburst by lowering her head and sobbing into her hands.
I couldnât help but laugh at the sight. âDid you hear that? Go on now; fetch the king. I have a feeling he will be very interested to know how his future queen, who claims that she doesnât know how to swim, was able to save him from the depths of the lake.â
Adelaâs head jerked up at this, her expression changing drastically. âCrystal, do you really hate me that much?â she asked in outraged disbelief. âDo you intend to discredit me in everything I say or do?â I snorted and bit my l*p to stifle another chuckle. I looked her up and down and said, âI donât hate you, Adela. But that doesnât mean that I will just stand by and watch you do whatever you want. I donât want our king to have a liar for a queen. You wonât succeed with your schemes as long as Iâm around.â As soon as she heard this, Adelaâs face twisted into a vicious expression. Her upper l*p curled up to meet her flared nostrils, and her eyes flashed wildly. âI have no idea what youâre talking about. You must have some misunderstandings about me. If you like, Iâd be more than happy to clarify them with you in private.â
I raised an eyebrow, and shot her a knowing smile. Alas, there wasnât much excitement to be had in oneâs victory if oneâs opponent was a complete and utter moron. âThat wonât be necessary. The only thing you need to clarify is how you managed to rescue the unconscious king from the lake when you supposedly cannot swim.â
The crowd buzzed around us. They knew that I had an excellent point. They began to look at Adela with suspicion as they murmured to themselves.
