Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 1141
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Crystalâs POV:
âOkay.â I struggled to come up with a satisfactory response to Rufus.
This was the best and only option left.
Again, Rufus stroked my hair tenderly and murmured, âDonât think too much.Go back and have a rest.Wait for my news.â
I nodded mechanically.
My mind was a mess now, so I agreed and went back to my place.
Looking around at the empty palace, I felt a pang of agitation.I lay on the bed numbly and gazed out the window at the moonlight.I didnât know what Arron was going through now.I couldnât rest easy for more than a few seconds thinking that Arron could be in an unfamiliar place and in danger.
Last night went off without a hitch.
Why would anyone want to hurt a good boy like Arron? My eyes became heavier, and I could feel my tears about to well up.
While I lay in bed, thinking about how much energy Iâd need to go looking for Arron tomorrow, I finally succumbed to closing my eyes.
But seconds later, I opened them again and took a few deep breaths.
Once I closed my eyes, all I could see was b***d everywhere.
The worst possible outcome kept running through my mind.
I would see Arron covered in b***d.
So I got up in a hurry and knelt down in front of the window, praying to the Moon Goddess.
âGreat Moon Goddess, please protect Arron and help me find him.âI lowered my head and prayed devoutly. It was rare for me to pray to the Moon Goddess so fervently. If I prayed to her, it meant something significant had happened to me.I didnât know if it was my illusion. For some reason, whenever I finished praying, everything felt lighter. My only option now was to place my hope to the Moon Goddess.Yana, too, was filled with worry. She attempted to urge me to sleep, fearing that I couldnât hold on much longer.
However, at the same time, she was also worried that if I dozed off weâd miss something important regarding Arron.
After praying for a while, I calmed down a lot and comforted Yana, âI canât fall asleep now.So Iâve decided to wait for Rufusâ news.Donât worry.I can hold on.â
After that, I sat back on the bed and started thinking about what had happened.
âArron is just a kid.Who do you think might be targeting him here?â
I murmured, After a long silence, Yana said, âCrystal, every plan is motivated by some sort of gain and interests.Perhaps Arronâs existence has affected the interests of others.â
A scowl formed on my face as I heard her words.
I painstakingly recalled everything that had happen after I arrived at the imperial palace, trying to remember everyone who had been hostile to me.
I had to think hard before I remembered everyone who might have a grudge against me, down to the maid I had knocked over by accident and not apologized to.
However, there was still a lingering disappointment in my heart.I only had a small issue with those people.
There was no need for them to take such a big risk against Arron.
Clearly, everything that happened was carefully planned.
Such a rigorous plan required great patience.
And this person must be very familiar with me.
The image of Adelaâs face kept popping into my head.
Could it be her? Because of Rufus, she might be the only one who was most hostile to me.
But did she really have the ability to plan all this?
