Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 1241
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
(Adelaâs POV)
The look in Rufusâs eyes told me that he knew something. Too scared and flustered to think straight, I didnât know when I gave myself away.
There were still ten days left before the spell wore off. I had been planning to get closer to Rufus within this period so that I could have s*ex with him and bear his child.
That way, even if the jig was up and my real identity was exposed, I still had a trump cardâthe child.
And even if Rufus got angry with me, he wouldnât be able to do anything to me since I was the mother of his heir.

Iâd already done some digging and found out that Rufus wasnât in love with anyone at the moment, nor did he care to find out who his mate was. So, I figured that Rufus would definitely marry me if I bore him a child.
My plan had been going smoothly and wedding arrangements had been made.
But recently, the royal palace had been heavily guarded, and Rufus had been busy. Whenever I tried to see him, I was snubbed.
Later, I heard that Crystal was sick and that Rufus was taking care of her, which explained why I couldnât see him.
Today, I was finally able to find out where Crystal lived. Determined to separate the two, I went straight there to warn her to stay away from Rufus.
But things went out of hand very quickly. I was always proud of my good looks and I always believed that Rufus would fall in love with me sooner or later. Until I saw Crystalâs face. She wasnât the disfigured she-wolf people described her to be. On the contrary, she was so beautiful that I felt insecure just looking at her.
But what was even more unacceptable to me was the way Rufus looked at her. He was so gentle and affectionateâthe exact same way a werewolf would look at their true mate.
At that moment, I knew Rufus mustâve fallen in love with Crystal.
I was so jealous that I wanted to grab the knife on the dining table and slash at Crystalâs beautiful face. But before I could do any damage, that bitch kicked me and Rufus out of the room.
Later, I followed Rufus to the lycan kingâs palace. I wanted to talk to him about our wedding, but then Rufus suddenly asked a wizard to come, which caught me completely off-guard.
This wizard must be powerful if Rufus himself chose him and summoned him to the palace.
As expected, the second the wizard arrived, Rufus asked the question I had been dreading, and the wizard answered him immediately. The wizard was even accurate about the time limit of the spell. Hearing the wizardâs answer, Rufus turned to me and asked coldly, âWell? What else do you have to say for yourself?â
I had no choice but to play the sympathy card. Tears rolling down my cheeks, I sobbed pitifully, âYour Majesty, I donât understand what youâre trying to say. Iâm your mate! I saved your life!â
At this point, I could only stick to my lies firmly. Anyway, he had no evidence against me.
Rufus was a ruthless man. If I admitted that I had lied to him, everything would be over for me.
âHow dare you keep up this lie when the wizard is right here?â Rufus roared angrily. âYou keep saying that you were the one who saved me. Well, I had asked someone to look into it. The woods at the foot of the cliff are extremely difficult to navigate. Only by having a local hunter for a guide can any outsider find their way around. Otherwise, theyâd get lost and die. Letâs say you didnât navigate through the woods. Perhaps you climbed down from the cliff. But you said that you were painting the scenery at the foot of the cliff, right? The cliff is very steep. How could you have gone to such a dangerous place alone? And according to my guards, youâre not a good swimmer. How could you have saved me from drowning in the deep water?â
Despite Rufusâs emotionless voice, every word he said was like a knife stabbing at my heart.
I knew I was screwed. God, I shouldnât have set Crystal up in such a high-profile way. Now, my own plot was working against me!
But even so, I refused to give up so easily!
