Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 1292
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Crystalâs POV;
When Murray called me âlittle girlâ, I almost choked on my saliva.
Since I was already a mother of two children, it sounded quite strange.
But compared to him, I was much younger. After all, he was over three hundred years old.
Rufus was a little surprised. âYou two know each other?â
I nodded. âWe met in the black market five years ago
âShe was with a handsome man at that time,â Murray cut in. He didnât seem to mean anything by it, but sure enough.
âA handsome man?â
As expected, Rufusâs expression darkened. âWas it
Blair?â
âHowâd you know?â I thought he had regained his memory, so my eyes lit up happily. âYes, it was Blair! You remember?â
But Rufusâs expression only darkened further. He pursed his lips and didnât say anything more. He, seemed to be in a bad mood, with obvious grievance in his eyes.
Only then did I realize that Rufus was fishing for answers. What a cunning bastard!
âWell, nothing special happened. Letâs stop talking about it. If it werenât for what happened today, I wouldâve forgotten that I even went to the black market with Blair.â I quickly changed the topic and winked at Murray. âLetâs get down to business. Do you know how to get Noreenâs soul out of my daughterâs body?â
I figured that Rufus mustâve explained the situation to Murray beforehand, but unexpectedly, Murray frowned tightly. He tapped his forehead and muttered, âIâm getting old. Let me think. I feel like Iâve forgotten something.â
âHow could you forget? Think harder!â I was getting a little anxious, couldnât tell if Murray had really forgotten or if he was just pretending.
Five years ago, when we were in the black market, I already knew that Murray wouldnât be easy to deal with.
He was very fickle-minded. What if he decided not to help us?
1looked to Rufus for help.
Rufus didnât say anything. Instead, he wordlessly picked up a golden velvet bag from the table and threw it in front of Murray.
Murrayâs face instantly lit up. He grabbed the bag and eagerly looked inside. Then his face suddenly became serious.
1 sighed. He was still the same as before. Back then, we also couldnât get any useful information out of him unless we gave him something expensive in return.
After carefully putting the bag into his pocket, Murray regained his normal composure. âI do have a solution, but Iâll only tell the black witch.
Alone.â
âWhat? Why?â Rufus protested.
âYouâll understand why later. But for now, you canât know about it, or it wonât work,â Murray murmured, stroking his beard like a wise old sage.
âItâs okay, Rufus. Just leave us alone.â I gently pushed Rufus towards the door. âIâll tell you later.â
âFine.â
Rufus left reluctantly.
As soon as the door was shut behind him, Murray said seriously, âI really want to help you, but Iâm afraid you wonât like my proposed solution.â
âWhy? As long as it can save my daughter, Iâll do anything.â
Murray averted his gaze and hesitated. Finally, he locked eyes with me and said slowly, âThe only way to get rid of Noreenâs soul is to kill Beryl.â
âWhat?! No way!â I clenched my fists anxiously. âHow could I kill my own daughter? Weâre doing this to save Beryl, not kill her!â
