Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 1294
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Crystalâs POV:
I felt the gravity of the situation, but I refused to accept Murrayâs solution.
âIâm sorry, Murray, but no matter what happens, I canât lose Beryl. Iâd rather lock Beryl up for the rest of my life and let her live with Noreen than kill her,â I said decisively, wiping the tears from the corner of my
eyes.
âDoing so is useless.â Murray waved his hand dismissively. âNoreenâs soul is much stronger than Berylâs. If things go on like this, itâll only be a matter of time before Berylâs soul completely fades into oblivion.â I lowered my head silently. An invisible hand seemed to be squeezing the life out of my heart, rendering me hard to breathe.
âAnd I just told you that once Noreen takes over Berylâs body completely, sheâll absorb Berylâs talent and become even more powerful. Itâll be disaster for all life on this world. Youâve already caught a glimpse of Noreenâs ambition. Five years ago, I heard about Noreenâs great plan. She wanted to build her own kingdom.â Murray shook his head helplessly.
When he looked at me, I saw the sadness and sympathy in his eyes.
âWhen someoneâs completely devoured by their greed and ambition, theyâll stop at nothing to achieve what they want even if it means destroying countless lives in the process. Noreen has died twice. No one is sure that she can be killed a third time.â
I fell into deep thought. No matter what happened, I had already made up my mind.
My daughter had to live.
âI know itâs a cruel choice for you to make, but now is the best time to do it. Kill Noreen already before she seizes control of Berylâs body
âNo!ââI roared, standing up abruptly. âBeryl is not going to die. You must have other options, or you wouldnât have wanted to talk to me alone.â When Murray asked Rufus to go out just now, I sensed that something about his request was strange.
It sounded like Murray had something to hide from Rufus. If this was just about killing Beryl, then there was no need to keep this a secret from Rufus.
Rufus was much calmer than me, and Murray mustâve known that Rufus would take the blow better than me.
Murray suddenly burst into laughter, which trailed off into a long sign. â1 was hoping youâd choose the first option, but I do have another way
âI knew it!â My eyes lit up with hope. âWhat is it?â
âYou and Noreen would have to die together,â Murray answered in a low voice.
1 didnât hesitate. âOkay, weâll go with that. What do I have to do?â Murray heaved a sigh and sat down to pour himself a cup of tea. âI knew youâd prefer the second option.â
After taking a sip of tea, he took out a scroll from his pocket and handed it to me.
âAccording to this, drawing a totem with your own b***d can temporarily pull Noreenâs soul out of Berylâs body and into yours.â I rolled out the scroll and read it aloud. âLet the hostâs soul explode. Only in this way can the parasite soul be eliminated.â
âThat means both of you will die,â Murray warned me gravely.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes again, they were full of clarity. âOkay, letâs do it. But I donât know how to break the news to Rufus.â
Needless to say, Rufus wouldnât accept this option.
And if Rufus didnât agree, the plan wouldnât be carried out
Beryl couldnât wait long.
I bit my l*p, wondering how Iâd tell Rufus.
âDonât worry. My lips are sealed. Itâs up to you whether youâll tell him or not.â Picking up his cup of tea, Murray gave me a meaningful look.
