Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 1320
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Rufusâ POV:
Now that the spell had been completed, I staggered over to check on Crystal and Beryl.
Crystal lay in my arms, her skin as cold as ice. She weakly interlaced her fingers with mine and croaked, âCheck Beryl.â
I held her tightly and didnât want to let her go, but I managed to tear my gaze away from her momentarily to look at Beryl. Berylâs skin had turned red, and she was out cold. The force surrounding her seemed very unstable. But she looked a lot better than before. The wound on her neck seemed to be healing, and the bleeding had stopped. It seemed that Crystal succeeded. As I held her in my arms now, I could feel that there was only werewolf power left in her body.
âBecause Beryl now has tremendous black witch power in her, the unstable power fluctuation is normal. She might have a fever in the next few hours, Murray explained. Then he put his finger on Berylâs forehead and murmured a spell.
âIâve temporarily sealed a portion of her strength. Sheâll recover slowly as her body adjusts. It may take a long time, but her life wonât be in danger. At most, sheâll be irritable when her strength starts to get chaotic.â As he spoke, he pulled out a potion he had prepared and poured it into Berylâs mouth. A few seconds later, Berylâs face slowly returned to normal and she fell asleep
Crystal loosened her grip on my hand and lay limply in my arms. Seeing her slowly close her eyes, I shouted, âCrystal, donât go to sleep. Beryl hasnât recovered yet. Donât you want to see her again?â
Crystal struggled to peel her eyes open and cracked a smile at me. âSilly boy, Iâm just exhausted. Iâm trying to get some rest over here.â
âR-really?â I asked her with difficulty, kissing her trembling eyelids
Crystal didnât respond anymore. Her breath became lighter and lighter With a sigh, Murray picked up Beryl and said to me, âTIl take care of Beryl. You can take the time to say goodbye to Crystalâ¦â
He looked at me and shook his head sadly, as if he couldnât bear to say anything
more.
1 couldnât believe it. My hands trembled uncontrollably, as though they werenât mine. My heart seemed to stop beating in my chest. It was as though some kind of invisible force was squeezing the life out of me.
âHoney, please donât close your eyes. Iâm scared youâll⦠Youâllâ¦â I had never felt so fragile and vulnerable before in my life. Now, I was at the peak of power as king of the werewolves. I protected my people, but I couldnât even protect the one loved.
How pathetic!
âRufus, donât be sad. Even if I die, Iâll always be with you.â
â Crustal caressed mv
face with her fingers. Her breath was so light and her body was freezing cold, and she just kept getting colder.
âNo, no, no, no. Youâre not going to die. You canât! How could you leave me alone in this world?â I refused to accept the notion. Just imagining a world without Crystal made me want to break down and cry like a child.
I rubbed her hands to warm her up.
âIf you die, Iâll die with you,â I threatened her, begging her to stay with me.
âRufus, I love you. Please. I donât want you to die,â Crystal said weakly, looking at me affectionately through her half-closed eyes. âLive on. They need youâ¦â
âCrystal..â I called her name helplessly. âTell me what I need to do to save you.
Please donât die. I need you. Please donât die. Please donât be so cruel!â
