Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 217
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Warrenâs POV:
Wearing a straight face, I walked along the path in the garden with Flora. It was already our third lap. My palms started to sweat.
Flora was scowling. She hadnât said a word since we came downstairs. It was obvious she was worried about Sylvia.
âAre you tired yet?â I asked in a measly attempt to break the silence.
My voice brought Flora back to her senses and she blinked at me blankly. âYouâre tired already? You can go ahead. I want to keep walking.â
I instantly regretted asking such a stupid question. Leaving Flora alone was the last thing on my mind.
I pretended to think it over for a while before saying, âForget it. Iâll accompany you for a little longer. I can tell youâre in a bad mood.â
âItâs okay. You can go. Iâm fine by myself,â Flora said, glancing at me indifferently. Then, she raised her head and looked up at the starry sky.
âI have nothing else to do anyway. Letâs talk,â I said shyly, my cheeks burning. Fortunately, it was dark, so I hoped she wouldnât notice how flustered I was. This was the first time I had ever been so thick-skinned. I was unaccustomed to the feeling.
Flora snorted, âWhatever you say.â
I chuckled, trying to lighten up the atmosphere, but it seemed I made things even more awkward. Flora didnât utter a single word to me.
âItâs a beautiful night,â I said feebly, trying to find somethingâanythingâto say.
âMhm.â Flora grunted indifferently. She looked a little bored. âNot as beautiful as you are.â
âWhatâre you talking about?â My ears turned red.
âYou heard me.â Flora turned to look at me seriously. âHavenât you ever looked into the mirror? Donât you know how handsome you are? Youâre the best looking man in our pack. At least, I havenât seen anyone else more handsome than you.â
I wasnât used to such a topic, so I was at a complete loss for words. âI donât care about my appearance. What matters to me is my training.â
âAnd Alina, too.â Flora smiled at me knowingly.
I frowned. Her quip made me unhappy. âI donâtââ
âNow that I think about it, I just realized that I havenât seen many men before,â Flora interrupted, cutting me off mid-sentence. She propped her chin with her hand and was deep in thought. âWhen I came to the imperial palace, I saw a lot of handsome men, especially Prince Rufus. I think heâs more handsome than you. Oh, wait. I canât say that. You two arenât the same typeââ
âFlora!â I couldnât help but interrupt her. I really didnât want to hear her talk about other menâs âhandsomenessâ.
Flora looked at me with big, innocent-looking eyes. âWhatâs the matter?â
I felt guilty and quickly changed the subject. âSylvia and Prince Rufusâ¦â
âTheyâre together. They love each other. So you better give up on whatever that is on your mind, because you canât be with her!â Flora frowned and looked around to make sure that no one was nearby. Then she lowered her voice and said, âTheir relationship is still a secret, got it? Youâd better not tell anyone, or Prince Rufus will kill you.â
After saying that, she pumped her fist in the air, simulating an uppercut punch.
I smiled bitterly. âIâm not that kind of werewolf.â
Despite my prior feelings for Sylvia, I was happy that she had found someone special.
Flora lowered her fist and nodded. âI know. You were famous in the pack for being old-fashioned and refusing to gossip behind other peopleâs backs.â
Somehow, I felt pleasantly surprised. âDid you know about me?â
Flora rolled her eyes and started to walk forward with her hands clasped behind her back. âYou were so famous that everyone knew you. You were the number one golden bachelor in our pack. Many she-wolves swooned over you.â
I felt a little embarrassed. I wasnât that interested in knowing what the others in our pack thought about me. But looking at her, I found myself wanting to know what she thought.
âAnd how about you?â I asked boldly.
Flora tilted her head to the side and looked at me in confusion. âWhat do you mean?â
âYou said that many she-wolves liked me. What about you?â
