Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 542
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Rufusâ POV:
I wasnât expecting Leonard to show up with reinforcements.
But when I saw the excitement on Sylviaâs face, I pieced two and two together.
Sylvia noticed my meaningful gaze and winked at me playfully, as if she knew what I was thinking.
I smiled and nodded to show that I understood her signal.
Now, Leonard had blocked the vampiresâ way out of here, and werewolf troops guarded the perimeter of the wall.
Realizing that the situation was clearly unfavorable, Geoffrey turned around to escape in secret, but it was Leonard himself who stopped him.
âWhere do you think youâre going?â
Leonard yanked Geoffrey back and threw him to the clearing. Geoffreyâs face turned pale and his voice trembled. âHow⦠What are you doing here?â
Leonard laughed wildly. âWere you expecting someone else? Reinforcements from the Fixed Star Pack and the Wapiti Pack perhaps? Iâm sorry to say they were trapped three kilometers away from here and are unable to protect even themselves.â
Hearing this, Geoffreyâs knees buckled and he fell to the ground. âHow could this beâ¦â
Leonard snorted and didnât waste time with him anymore. He strode over to me and asked, âPrince Rufus, what do you want me to do with these vampires?â
I glanced at the cornered vampires coldly. âWhat do you think?â
Although I had made a decision, I still wanted to hear Leonardâs opinion.
After mulling it over for a while, Leonard strode over to the vampires and held up a thin, sickly vampire by his collar. With a disgusted expression on his face, Leonard asked, âWhy do you look so weak?â
The thin, sickly vampire feebly tried to defend himself. âI⦠Iâm not fullâ¦â
Leonard chuckled. âWerewolf prisons have good food. Iâm sure youâll be satisfied there.â
All the vampires shivered in fear. A male vampire with hair that reached his waist stepped forward and said, âOnly one of us died here. The situation isnât irredeemable. When we go back to our clan, weâll just say that it was an accident.â
The other vampires chimed in enthusiastically. âWe swear we wonât tell anyone. Duke Hobson will never find out the truth.â
âThe dead vampire wasnât very important anyway. Her death isnât enough to start a war between the two races.â
âJust let us go. Weâll forget what happened today and continue to live in peace.â
Leonard didnât say anything and turned to look at me, awaiting my instructions.
âArrest them,â I said firmly.
Vampires were good liars. I couldnât just let them go back to their territory.
And now, there wasnât just the problem with the border. Because of the existence of the wall, the conflict between the two races that had accumulated for a long time was about to implode.
I didnât want to see any more of these dirty deals and means for even a second.
With a smile, Leonard stretched out his arm and shouted at his men, âArrest these vampires!â
The well-trained soldiers promptly sprang into action.
For a moment, light and darkness collided. The vampires all used their special powers, trying their best to resist imprisonment. But in the end, they were outnumbered and were soon subdued.
âBe careful of that vampire in a dark blue suit. His special power is very destructive. I encountered him outside the wall last time,â Sylvia said in a low voice.
I followed her gaze and saw that the vampireâs hand held a ball of blue flames and a flash of blue lightning.
I shouted urgently, âEverybody, scatter!â
