Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 560
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Sylviaâs POV:
Judging from what Ashley had just said and the runes in the stone chamber, I was almost certain that this was the domain of a powerful witch.
As for the keyâ¦
âMy intuition tells me that this pendant is the key to this stone chamber, or the pendant wouldnât have reacted so abnormally, right? And after it glowed hot and red, the black mist appeared and brought us here,â Flora concluded seriously, holding up the pendant.
âWhere did you get that pendant?â Ashley suddenly asked.
âWe found it in Geoffreyâs secret room. Rufus said that Noreenâs scent is on it,â I answered honestly.
Flora immediately shivered. âNoreen? Isnât she the most difficult black witch to deal with?â
âYes. And if Iâm not mistaken, we might have accidentally entered Noreenâs domainâ¦â I said slowly.
Flora froze in horror. âThis is too much. I had no idea that one day Iâd be so close to a legend.â
I couldnât help but burst into laughter. Flora wasnât wrong. Noreenâs notorious name and horrible deeds had spread far and wide among the werewolves.
âWell, I hope we wonât face Noreen herself. We wonât stand a chance against her,â I said grimly.
âIf the pendant got us into this place, maybe it can get us out,â Layla, who had been quiet this whole time, suddenly suggested.
âBut thereâs nothing here. I just fumbled around the walls, but I didnât find a place to put the key.â I frowned. This was tricky. I had explored every part of the small stone chamber, but I found no clues.
âTry again.â As Flora spoke, she hurried to feel the walls for a key hole.
We ran the length of the walls a few more times but still found nothing.
âPerhaps we need to chant something in order to activate the keyâ¦â Disappointed, Flora couldnât help but whine. âThese witches just had to use spells for everything! How troublesome!â
I leaned against the stone wall in a daze, clutching the pendant in my hand tightly.
Did we draw the wrong conclusion?
I doubted it. The black mist didnât appear until the pendant started to burn, which was enough to prove that the pendant had something to do with the stone chamber.
Maybe Flora was right and we needed an incantation to get out.
I turned to Ashley and asked, âDid Hobson say anything about a spell needed?â
Ashley seemed to be racking her brains. Finally, she shook her head. âNo. He didnât say anything.â
Just then, Layla suddenly shouted excitedly, âThereâs a small hole here! Check it out!â
Flora and I hurried to where she was pointing.
The small hole Layla mentioned was under a stone lamp. It was very well hidden.
âOh, my God! Layla, youâre amazing. You found it!â Flora practically pounced on Layla and gave her a bear hug.
âDonât thank me yet. We donât know if itâs the key hole or not.â Layla chuckled. Then, she looked at me meaningfully, urging me to put the pendant into the hole.
I held the pendant up against the small hole and compared them. The shape and size of the hole were similar to those of the pendant.
Sure enough, when I pressed the pendant into the hole, the solid stone wall instantly swung open, revealing a wide room inside.
âOh, my God! It was a door all along!â Flora was overjoyed and looked out the door curiously.
In the center of the room, there was a huge crystal ball. A soft, mysterious blue light emanated from it, lighting up the whole stone chamber.
Shelves lined the walls of the room, covered with all kinds of magic medicine and glass vials.
My eyes lit up. Perhaps the antidote thatâd break the curses on Blair and Rufus was among them!
I couldnât hide my excitement and rushed into the room, closely followed by Flora.
But as soon as we stepped into the room, the floor collapsed from under our feet.
