Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 686
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Leonardâs POV:
To be honest, the conversation between Edwin and Rufus shocked me to the c*ore. Although I had always treated Sylvia as my daughter, I couldnât believe that she would really turn out to be my biological daughter.
This whole situation was a mess and I couldnât think straight anymore.
Edwinâs flustered gasp brought me back to my senses.
Rufus held me arm to help me steady myself and said worriedly, âDonât be too emotional. Just calm down first.â I took a deep breath and patted him on his shoulder before saying, âYou can leave now. I want to talk with Edwin alone.â
Hearing my words, Rufus hesitated.
âDonât worry, Rufus. If what Edwin said is true, I will definitely personally deal with this matter. I wonât let you and Sylvia down.â
In the end, Rufus just nodded and left the place.
Of course, Edwin didnât dare to sit anymore. He stood opposite to me with his head down. He looked as if he was still in a daze.
I snorted and said, âStop pretending. Are you trying to find excuses to fool me again? We have known each other for many years. Do you think I donât know you well?â
Feeling embarrassed, Edwin raised his head and pretended to take a sudden interest in a crack on the wall.
âNow, tell me everything you know!â I clenched my fists and f0rced myself to talk in the calmest tone.
âI have nothing to say to you.â Obviously, Edwin was playing dumb. He was stubborn and it really pissed me off.
Because of his nonchalant behavior, I got so angry that I pointed at his nose with trembling hand and asked, âAre you trying to piss me off?â
Edwin pursed his lips and said in a tough voice, âYou will be angrier if you know the truth.â
Hearing his words, I couldnât breathe and spat out b***d out of rage.
At that time, Edwin got flustered and said, âCalm down!â
I coughed and pushed his hand away. âIf you donât want to see me d*ie, just tell me the truth.â
âWhy are you always so stubborn?â Edwin said annoyingly as he took out the medicine from the cabinet and handed it to me. âIâll tell you the truth if you take this pill.â
I took a deep breath and swallowed the medicine. Then, I closed my eyes to calm myself down. Gradually, the pain in my chest alleviated a little.
âSo, tell me the truth. Is Sylvia really my daughter?â
For a while, Edwin just stud*ied me quietly. Then, he nodded his head and said, âYes, she is really your biological daughter.â
His confession made my b*ody feel cold. I felt as if someone was pressing my throat and I couldnât utter a word.
Sighing, Edwin took out another report from the drawer and handed it to me. âThis is paternity test report. I used your b***d and Sylviaâs for the test.â
My hands shook again when I read the report. âSylvia is my daughter. Why didnât I remember at all?â
âItâs not your fault. Thereâs a reason you forgot about the past.â Edwin comforted me and patted my shoulder.
I couldnât say anything. Occasionally, a face that was similar to Sylvia appeared in my mind. So, was that Olivia?
My brain ached again when I struggled to recall the memory.
Edwin panicked and said hurriedly, âPlease, donât think about it anymore.â
I took a deep breath and whispered in a low voice, âDo I love her?â
With a smile, Edwin replied, âYes, you love her very much. She is your life.â
His words only made my heart ache more and I felt suffocated. I ch*oked and asked, âThen, why did I not remember anything about her?â
Edwin had a depressed look on his face. After some time, he clenched his fists and said, âLeonard, actually, I promised her that I wouldnât tell you the truth, but I donât want you to blame yourself either.â
After saying that, he paused for a while and finally continued, âIt isnât your fault. Olivia is the one who erased your memory.â
