Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 730
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Sylviaâs POV:
I shook my head, refusing Edwinâs kindness. âNo, thanks. It doesnât matter anymore.â
With a sympathetic expression, he continued, âYour father was ecstatic the night he discovered the truth about you. He wanted to tell you immediately. If this accident hadnât taken place, you might have already been Sylvia Quinn right now.â
I pursed my lips and gave him a small smile. âAll I ever wanted was only my father.â
Edwin sighed. âWell, maybe itâs for the best. But if you ever change your mind one day, donât hesitate to come to me, be it day or night.â
I didnât reply to his offer. Instead, I changed the topic. âDo you know why my mother erased my fatherâs memory?â
After considering my question for a while, Edwin took me to Leonardâs residence. He located a secret cabinet and extracted a letter from it.
âOlivia left this letter to Leonard. You might get a better understanding after reading it.â
I quickly grabbed it and read it. My heart sank completely.
It looked like Noreen had spoken the truth. My mother was left with no choice but to erase Leonardâs memory.
What should Rufus and I do? Would I have to erase his memory too?
Edwin watched me worriedly. âWhat happened? Do you also need to make the same choice as your mother?â
I shook my head in denial. Then I asked him if Rufus knew about this letter.
Edwin shook his head. âPrince Rufus doesnât know the existence of this letter. Only your father had read it. And now you.â
âThatâs good.â When I heard this, relief flowed through me. If Rufus found out about this, matters would become tricky. He wouldnât let me erase his memories. And if I couldnât figure out a way to remove the curse, he would certainly die.
I couldnât let that happen. The thought itself was more painful than my own death.
âI hope you will keep this secret for me. I donât want Rufus to know about it.â I looked at Edwin earnestly and beseeched him.
Edwin took pity on me and asked, âAre you going to experience the same thing Olivia and Leonard did?â
âNo, I will find a way to change my fate.â I didnât believe that there was no way out. Even though the black witch bloodline was strong, a natural enemy to restrain it must have existed.
The priority right now was to find this natural enemy and conquer it.
Edwin didnât add anything more. With a sigh, he said, âI will keep this secret for you. And I hope that one day, I will be lucky enough to attend your wedding to Rufus.â
âOf course you will.â I gave him a bright smile. Although reality was cruel, I believed that there was always hope.
Everyone should have a dream. Mine was to build a home with Rufus.
After this conversation, Edwin didnât stay with me any longer. He sent me downstairs and went to work.
I returned to the mourning hall in search of Rufus, but I couldnât find him anywhere.
Owen and Warren were chatting at the door. They greeted me when they spotted me.
They both looked miserable, and Flora only looked slightly better. But she was also depressed and haggard. With their heads bowed down, they looked like listless plants who hadnât received any sunlight for a while.
âWhere is Rufus?â I swept my eyes around the room but didnât see his familiar figure.
âDidnât he come to meet you?â Owen asked curiously.
âNo.â I hadnât bumped into him on my way here.
After pondering for a while, I bid them goodbye and decided to go back to my living quarters to look for Rufus.
