Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 735
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Sylviaâs POV:
Having some doubts in my mind, I tried to calm down and asked him something that only the real Blair and I knew.
âDo you still remember the time you showed me how to use my power during the placement exam?â
Blair was tongue-tied. I was sure I caught him off guard with my sudden shift in conversation. But the good thing was that he naturally continued and told me how to mobilize and use my power.
I was relieved after hearing his explanation. It was the same as what Blair said before. This meant that the man before me was still Blair, but something was definitely wrong with him.
Just seeing the tiny black bug made me think of Noreen for some reason.
My heart skipped a beat. My concerns for Blairâs well-being led me to inquire about his current physical condition.
Blair looked at me strangely as he remarked, âNothing is wrong with me. Everything is normal, except that I have a bigger appetite.â
To some extent, I found this to be a relief. He was apparently healthy because his eating and sleeping habits were normal. As such, I ruled out the possibility of Noreen being behind this.
But the existence of the little black bug was definitely not an accident. Was it a sequela after the curse was broken?
âWhatâs wrong, Sylvia? You donât look so good,â Blair asked with evident concern in his tone.
A question finally came out of my mouth after a momentâs hesitation. âBlair, is it possible that you havenât really gotten rid of the curse?â
Suddenly, a frosty air engulfed the air around us. Blair studied me for a moment before asking, âSylvia, do you think Iâm joking?â
âWhat are you talking about?â I had no idea what was weighing on his mind. I just found his odd behavior to be really irritating.
âYou thought I was joking when I asked you to give me a chance to pursue you. You even thought there was something wrong with my brain.â There was no denying itâBlair now looked nothing like the lively and handsome young man he used to be.
I was at a loss for words. It seemed that he would take no matter what I said differently.
âDonât worry. The curse has been lifted, and my wound has healed long ago.â Blair chuckled and flashed his trademark grin at me.
Just then, Rufus came back. When he walked in, he was taken aback at the sight of Blair and asked, âBlair, what are you doing here? Iâve been looking for you.â
Blair got to his feet and hugged him. âI came by to see you guys. But I only found Sylvia here.â
âReally?â Rufus patted him on the shoulder with a hint of amusement and glanced at me. âSylvia, are you okay? Why is your face so pale?
I touched my face subconsciously and smiled awkwardly. âItâs probably just the air conditioner. You guys talk first. Iâll go get a coat.â
âOkay.â Rufus nodded and watched me walk into the cloakroom.
When I came out again, Blair had already left.
Rufus was busy with work in the study, so I didnât disturb him. Sitting on the sofa alone in a daze, my mind was in chaos.
Suddenly, the phone rang. I was startled and jumped out of the sofa. Rufus happened to see it on his way out of the study to get a glass of water. He frowned and asked, âWhatâs wrong, Sylvia? You look absent-minded.â
âItâs okay. I was just on the verge of dozing off and was startled by the ringtone,â I replied before answering the phone with a smile.
It was a call from the hospital to update us that the little wolf pup was now out of danger and could be discharged.
It suddenly occurred to me that Rinâs child was still in the hospital. I had completely forgotten!
After hanging up the phone, I merrily skipped toward Rufus. He embraced me hastily and smacked me on the buttock in displeasure. âYouâre pregnant. Why are you jumping around carelessly?â
I stuck out my tongue at him and exclaimed, âIâm just so happy! Rinâs child can finally be discharged from the hospital!â
