Fated to the Cursed Lycan Prince Chapter 752
Fated To The Cursed Lycan Prince
Sylviaâs POV:
I glanced at Murray, who had followed me out of the room, and cleared my throat. âLetâs go.â
Blair caught my hint, bid goodbye to Murray, and left the ramshackle cottage with me.
When we were alone, I continued the subject we hadnât been able to finish. âYou said youâve seen that book before. Where did you see it?â
âWhile I was collecting evidence in your pack, I came across something suspicious. It was in Gamma Mateoâs room. That book was very strange. I wanted to check it, but I couldnât even pick it up. It seemed glued to there. I read a few pages, but couldnât make any sense of it. In fact, my head also started spinning.â
When I heard Blair say that he couldnât move the book, I was almost certain that it was my motherâs book of inheritance. After she passed away, Mateo took over her residence.
I was surprised and pleased with this information. I immediately made a decision to go back to my pack when I had some time.
âIâll go with you and help you fight.â Blair gave me a confident smile, indicating that I would fail without him by my side.
I pouted. âNo, Iâm returning to my own pack. Why do you want to come along?â
âBecause itâs dangerous. Have you forgotten what Shawn had done to you? Besides, I know how to open the secret room.â Blair tried to convince me to take him along. He threatened to pester me every day until I gave in.
But I stood firm. If he dared bother me every single day, I would just ask Rufus to deal with him. I didnât believe he was strong enough to go against Rufus.
âListen to me, Sylvia. You really should take me with you and I promise you wonât regret it. I can fight ten people at a time.â He so sincerely wanted to prove his strength that he almost offered to show me his prowess right then and there.
I shook my head, looking at him with equal sincerity. âThank you, Blair. But I really donât need your company. I remember how to open the room. Iâll figure everything else out by myself. And I am also capable enough of fighting ten people alone.â
Although being pregnant might impede my movements a little, I could always run away.
Blair nodded and sighed helplessly. âWell, then I have no choice but to tell Rufus about what happened today.â
âWhat? You canât do this!â
I didnât expect Blair to be so audacious.
Blair spread his hands out in an innocent gesture while his eyes glittered shrewdly. âYou wonât let me come with you, and that makes me sad. Who knows if Iâll be able to control myself if Iâm sad?â
I was furious. If Blair actually confessed to Rufus about this, there was no way I would be able to go to my pack alone. He would definitely send people to guard me.
âFine, Iâll inform you when Iâve set the time.â
I was forced to pretend to give in. I secretly decided that I would sneak away a few days later in the dead of the night.
Humph! He was such a moron. How dare he threaten me?
Blairâs lips curled up in satisfaction and he patted me on the shoulder. âGood. Donât try to sneak away, otherwise, Iâll spill my guts to Rufus. He will locate you before you reach your pack. His soldiersâ tracking skills are unmatched.â
I was left dumbstruck.
Shoving his hand away, I angrily spat out, âFine!â
Blair looked triumphant and said, âIn two days, Iâll take you out with me under the pretext of going on a mission. Youâre also a member of the army, so there is no cause for Rufus to oppose this. Besides, he has too much on his plate these days to be able to join us.â
I considered this for a few moments before agreeing.
After leaving the black market, I quickly pulled off my black cloak and smoothed my hair. As soon as I exited the alley, I bumped into the guard Rufus had arranged for me. He was holding a cup of milk tea and a box of cake, his face shining with anxiety.
I pointed at Blair and casually explained, âI ran into Blair. We were just talking for a while.â
Then I looked around and didnât spot Maya. As my eyes swept our surroundings in confusion, the guard said, âMaya panicked when we couldnât find you, and she went back to the palace to report to Prince Rufus.â
When I heard what he said, I became flustered.
